The staffs were very warmful. They helped me to find a Sony store in Rome to buy a charge cable. The facilities are good, but no free wifi access, which is not very convenient for getting information of visit during the trip. The room is clean, but during the night it was not very quiet. The location is convenient to go out because it is near a Metro station, but not in the city center. It was comfort to stay there and it worth the value for money.

The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful! It is also in a fantastic location- minutes walk to the Vatican or a Metro station. There were also several cute restaurants within a block or two that were very reasonably priced with a tourist friendly staff. While the room was small it was very clean and comfortable, especially the bed- all I really needed in a room I spent so little time in. I would definitely stay here again! The room was small, especially the bathroom. It was completely manageable for me though and the big bed (I booked a twin, it was more like a double) was very comfortable compared to other hotels in Europe I've stayed in. If you are a big breakfast person, they do not offer a huge variety of food and if you come toward the end, it is pretty well picked over. Also, while they say they have wifi, I was never able to connect to their server, I'm assuming because I tried during peak times and it was overcapacity. There is an Internet cafe at the end of the block that is very reasonable if you just need to send/receive email.

The staff were very friendly, and the location was very convenient. The breakfast was not good. Limited fresh fruit/food, bad coffee, and I think the meat one morning was actually spoiled.

Fantastic location close to the Vatican and St Peters and few hundred meters from metro line A. Very good restaurants in the local area - for instance 3-star "Il Papalino" and "Velando". Walking distance to Piazza de Navona etc. Friendly staff. We had a superior room on the top floor, overlooking the dome of St Peters basilica. Our room was very comfortable, large and nice and clean. Breakfast was rather modest, consisting mainly of sweet cakes and sweet croissants. We would have preferred some proper freshly baked bread and some joghurt and müsli.

It is a very old hotel, but very worth the money and the location. Do not stay on the first floor however..next to the computer room #101 very noisy. Other wise perfect location for walking to the Vatican, St. Peter's square, and the sistine chapel. GReat little cafes and shops. I went for Christmas weekend and well worth it.

Close to metro, bus stop and vatican city. The bathroom is dirty, oxidation on the faucets, the shower is ridiculously disgusting and unbelievably small(around 50x70). The hotel is using a residential old version of elevator, where you need to close the door manually in order for the elevator to operate so if someone doesn't close the door after using it then it means no elevator. It doesn't meet the standard of a 3 stars hotel, I've seen many 3 stars hotel better than this one.

We were really satisfied with the stay in ''Amalia'', mostly because of its excellent location- you can reach all top sightseeings (Vatican, Trastevere, Spanish steps, Trevi etc.) by walking from there. Hotel is very clean, our room was large and the bathroom also, bed very comfy. Breakfast included. Good acoustic insolation- didn't hear neither other guests nor some noise from the contiguous street. Hotel is located in nice, safe neighbourhood. All in all, you can definetely choose Amalia if the main purpose is to spend your time in the city (and it usually is, right?) returning to hotel for just staying overnight and if reasonable price and fine location are important requests as it was for us. Breakfast could be more varied- it would be nice if some fresh fruits or vegetables were included also.

Great place! The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful, the breakfast was simple, but very good. We had our 6 month old daughter with us and will be returning with our 2 older kids for another visit. Perfect location, just a very short walk from the subway!

Only location. Firstly, I want to tell you never more to write on ur web that this hotel is 4*, It never was, and I think never will be 4*. It;s 3* written and normally according to my opinion it is only 2* max. Very dirty, little, not very pleasant stuff. I will never choose it in future trips. The only + is locaction, but there is a possibility to find better hotels around.

“Perfectly located on a very quiet street near Navona, Campo and one block from Largo di Argentina, where it is easy to grab a bus, tram or taxi, or a book in English from the book store. The service was excellent, they are very helpful, the room comfortable and very quiet. We have stayed there twice and it is the perfect place to land when visiting Rome.” Otis, San Francisco |
