눉In the big scheme of things I didn't have any dislikes. A few very minor things but nothing to complain about.
눇Our first time to Rome. We visited probably during the best time - end of October, less crowded, temperature still in the early-mid 20s during the day, and sunny.... We absolutely loved Rome. The Romans were so friendly and helpful.
We had the Junior Suite, room 501, on the 5th floor, was fine for us - 2 rooms - one for us, one for our boys. Sofa double bed in one room and great king-size in the other. Plenty of room for 4 of us. The shower was superb - very powerful. No great view from the room as we faced inwards, but, no noise on the night-time - no traffic, no shouting, etc. Great for an excellent night's sleep in a city centre.
Breakfast was on the 4th floor. An okay basic continental breakfast, but was fine for all of us. My boys are fussy and they ate. We were seated every morning.
Leonardo is a great guy - very friendly and helpful. I believe it was Maria who helped print out some tickets for us - once again very friendly and helpful. Thank-you to both Leonardo and Maria.
I loved the quirkiness of the hotel - not a chain hotel, superb location near the Vatican, very safe, right next door to good pizzerias & restaurants. We walked everywhere, including the Colloseum, Forum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, etc.
My wife was dubious about my choice but our friends stayed near the Termini station which is a bit of a no-go after dark. Whereas our area - safe.
Just make sure you take your own selfie-stick so you don't get hounded by the hoards of selfie-stick sellers!
