Perfect location just in the middle of city centre. Excellent staff , fantastic decoration and furniture. They also upgraded us to biggest suit room because it was our honeymoon. The room was wonderful. The breakfast might be better. Everyday the same foods but good enough. Also in cortina for every hotel you need to carry your boots and ski yourself from the hotel to ski lift which is around 300 meters. It s quite tiring.

EVERYTHING...the staff were exceptional, the ambience was as romantic as we had hoped, the location was perfectly located in the center of town. The staff went out of their way and beyond to ensure that our stay at their hotel and Cortina was an experience to remember with great fondness. And the owner, whom we had the good fortunate to meet was as charming, delightful, and witty, as she was beautiful. Cannot wait to return!!!!! We didn't get to stay longer.

Hotel molto carino e confortevole, personale disponibile e gentile, accettano animali e consentono di portarli in zona bar dove è possibile fare colazione.

A really super hotel right downtown in the pedestrian part of Cortina, close to good ski equipment and rental shops (and the local coop) and 50m from an easy bus to the slopes (just on the far side of the church). World class (seriously) food with an A-team staff, certainly some of the best hotel food we ever have had (simpler, but on par with the Ritz in Paris). Dinner may seem expensive at first blush, but eat elsewhere and you will decide that it is a good value, whether you go with the fixed price meal or a la cart (we did both). The hotel has its own parking (which is vital unless you want to stay way out from town). It also has a boot drying room with a heated rack, which also is a nice feature. While it is an older hotel, it is family-owned and has been exceptionally well maintained with good showers, etc., and the rooms are very nice. It originally was recommended to us by a doctor from Milan who stays there for a week every year with his family, and it proved to be a very good recommendation. It also is a good value, with parking and real breakfast (tell them what you want and they will cook it) included, and its only competition is out from town and twice as expensive (Hotel Cristallo). You can find less expensive hotels, but they either will be a bit out from town (which is a huge inconvenience given how the busses work) or have tiny rooms, and certainly will not have the same quality of food. (Do not drive to the slopes; the parking is wholly inadequate.) Cortina is a great destination for Alpine skiing, with four ski mountains in town and several others nearby and accessible via a bus system (Dolomite Superski) that leaves from the main bus station about 150m slightly up hill from the hotel. All three mountains are dotted with Rifugis (refuges), most of which have better and less expensive food than you see in Utah or Colorado. I do like a nice hot tub after skiing, but its absence was a small sacrifice in order to stay at the Ancora.
