Central location, walking distance to about everything.
from front door have to walk down about 17 steps to reception and back up with suitcases etc, you've got to be kidding.
practical location, decor, nice breakfast (well attended by Christina and Melisa)
The bedside table and reading lamps do not provide enough light to read, the WiFi is not user friendly.
Due to overbooking we received an Upgrade to a Suite in the starhotel Echo right across the street. Really great.
newly renovated, spotlessly clean, walking distance to train station and buses to airports, nice size bedroom, windows that open, tea and coffee in room, helpful friendly staff, good nights sleep, quiet.
free wifi slow and limited - can upgrade to paid - but not the point advertise free wifi
location - service
love the location! it's just opposite the central station which making us a very handy trip!
Hotel with long stairs and no way for wheels. Spent just one night of which 2 hours spent at the reception to solve the wifi problem with the hotel's internet provider. After all wifi didn't work anyway and the receptionist George without my confirmation charged money from my card for paid internet while free internet was included. Very poor breakfast. Management was told about unauthorized money charged but didn't react properly.
The location near to the Central Station. Bkfst was v.g. and staff were excellent. neat decor!
The beds were too firm, also, being Oct.8-11th 2014 it was unseasonably warm yet the air condition didn't work. It was too noisy to have the window open so we cooked! This is not unusual in Italian hotels at this time of yr!
Everything was great except bed: mattresses vere too soft.
Strike the posr on your way up or down to or from your room! Great access to the train station
Nut based theme at the restaurant and in the room snacks followed by a pumpkin theme, great if you like to be shaped like them, not so if you have allergies.
The room was clean and comfortable.
Air-condtioning made a constant noise. Internet connection is not straightforward and could be made easier. Price was high for a hotel of this category.
The stairs on main entrance big problem for luggage and baby stroller
A more formal atmosphere than we prefer when vacationing. Pricey restaurant.
WiFi was poor
rooms bar fast check in
the poor wifi and the cold breckfast
This is my third time to stay at this hotel because of its location beside Milan s Central Station value for money, nice staff. We did day trips from Milan to Venice, lake Como and Bergamo.
Wifi very poor.
-location -good value for money -good breakfast for Italian standards
Wi-Fi login a bit complicated
Bedroom great Staff friendly Central location
Pool would have been a nice added extra!
I liked the proximity to the station.
male receptionist was quite rude and un interested.
The hotel was across from the Milano Centrale train station. Very convenient. The staff recommended a great place for dinner. The bus shuttle for the airport was right across the street also. Made everything very easy.
Star hotels seem to try very hard to give quality service and attention to detail. The staff are all wonderful and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. with enough choice to cater to all nationalities. The hotel is clean and comfortable and is the second Star hotel we have stayed at. There seems to be a desire to keep all hotels as similar as possible in all areas. Loved the decor. There are some wonderful books to read and look at. The proximity to Milano Centrale, trams and underground can't be faulted
The entrance, having to walk down stairs to the lobby before ascending up in the elevator to ones room. The shower is a little bit difficult on exiting and could may be improved by the use of a non slip plastic mat.
Good location only if you want to be close to the main central station. Check-in experierence was smooth with very helpful staff. Fairly cleanly feel to the hotel room. Quiet location.
Would not qualify this as a 4 star hotel. Max 3. Despite staying in a deluxe double room: * Rude/inpolite/unqualified staff at reception other days picking up phone in the middle of us asking questions and seeming very unwilling to help us * inability to produce detailed invoice at checkout time - had to insist etc. * cleaning service inconsistent (slippers had signs on being used by previous occupants, only one pair of slippers + bathrobe, etc) * no ventilation in bath room making it and any items left there during extremely damp * towel heater wasn't connected - so for decor only * old crumbled bags of candy (very gross) * limited English tv channels (no CNN nor BBC for example but tons of Italian) * very uncomfortable bed (giving me neck pains) * supposed to be on a separate wifi network to our room class but took forever to connect and login to it - we were at the verge of giving up using the wifi * flat beer(s) at the restaurant (restaurant staff was kind)
The only reason to stay in this hotel should be the location close to the central station. Nothing else !!!
Room is spacious and super clean, with modern design. Breakfast is good with reasonable choice by European standard. Very close to rail station. Easy to transit to metro and to the airport.
Staff are business-like. Can be more friendly. Design of bathtub will make the floor wet after shower. Too few sockets for recharging electronic devices.
