Location was really good - very central. The staff so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble - even making sure a birthday card was on the breakfast table for my daughter's birthday! They organised a happy hour for the first two nights of our stay, where they invited us to join them for a drink and canapes, and to meet other travellers. An excellent idea , much appreciated.

First, the location is fantastic: it is just a few houses to the Tibere. It is so beautiful there, on the embankment that you feel happy and complete just that way, getting everywhere on foot without having to rush through all the 'must-sees' of Rome. The hotel itself is in good taste which is more than you could expect for the money. So it is not just the Rome settings that you enjoy walking in, it is also the hotel that made my time in Rome so special. The staff are friendly, helpful and unobtrusive, which is not an easy balance to keep. There's always somebody at your disposal to help you with any thinkable and unthinkable enquiries. Just to illustrate this, Valeria helped me on the phone to pre-book a tour around Villa Borgese's Art Gallery as well as get an invitation to the Pope's audience (Audienze). Unfortunately, it was not within her power to book on phone a ticket to a classic music concert at Auditorium, but you can't have everything. Jiancarlo found out some details about the swimming pool I was planning to visit. When I was checking out, there was some confusion on my part, not being used to booking online. It took the nice guy at the reception some time to explain to me how things work when you book through booking.com using your dear daughter's husband's credit card details and when the transaction actually take place. He was patient, reassuring and understanding all along the sortout, with me at first suspicious of some neglect on their part or of what I dreaded even more - some computer failure. All in all, everything was to my satisfaction, and I should say not only to mine. Not once did I see a disgruntled guest - even on a rainy day which notoriously tends to bring out the worst in folk. I am definitely going to stay at Angel Hotel again. My romance with Rome is not over. There is not actually anything I could think of. The things other guests find not so satisfactory like the narrow (I would call it antique) elevator or the fact that the reception is a building away diod not really matter. As for the latter, It provided the much sought after privacy and happened to be rather an advantage. With my habit of keeping the window open at night, I could hear Italian people speaking which I didn't mind at all as it gave me the local flavour.

Staff was helpful and polite, spoke English very good. I got double room, it was spaсious and comfortable. The bathroom is also spacious, has a hairdryer I booked the room in the main building (where the reception is) but at arrival got one in the other building 2 min walk that is a leaving house. The telephone doesn't work so I couldn't call the reception and had to go there should I need anything. The fridge didn't work, the bed sheet was tattered. It's a bit far from the center and even from Vatikan

Had a fantastic stay. Accomodation was lovely - clean and warm, our rooms were cleaned every day and they even tidied my son's clothes which he left on the floor. It was close to everything and the staff were fantastic - I would definately stay again/recommend.

Angel Hotel is a great hotel if you are looking for value for money accomondation. The location is almost perfect as the neighborhood is very quite but just a stones throw away from places of interest and public transport. All historical sites are within walking distance if you are a keen walker and would recommend walking because small streets are the most interesting ones.Staff friendly and helpfull.Rooms were being cleaned each morning.Would definetely recommend it. Tha aircondition fans a bit noisy.Nothing important to mention.

Location is good, easy 10 minutes walk to all the main attractions. Hotel staff were very helpful and even did my online checkin anD printed my boarding passes for my flight. The rooms are situated in another building about 500 metres down the road.In saying that the porter carried the luggage there so it wasn't a problem. The check in is in a different hotel name so it was difficult to find.

Very good location, in a quiet street in the centre of rome! We did not need any transportation such as taxi or buses! We walked around on foot! Excellent staff, very helpful! There was a restaurant nearby and a cafe which there weren't touristic and so not expensive to eat! Small rooms

Room very clean. Staff were friendly and gave us good information. Very good breakfast for reasonable price. Very well situated, in centre of Rome, can walk most places as has bus stop close by. Room slightly noisy at times (due to people next door).

Very good location which was very important for us, 5-10 min to the Vatican and 10-15 to the other main attractions of Rome! The room is old as most buildings in Rome but was clean and comfort, its kind of a vintage style room! Cleanness is a major issue for me, especially in the bathroom and I stayed very satisfied! I recommend it!!! Its perfect especially if you want just a place to sleep after a long sightseeing in the city!! The only thing that was annoying was the shower cabin! Its too small if you have some extra weight you want fit in it!

28/06/12 - 30/06/12 Travelling a lot to Italy I was glad to find perfect sized and clean single-room in the center of Rome! I am grateful for all who work there! 1. Personnel speak English! and can advice you about anything - Chipriano knows Rome inside out and will tell you even which bus you can use! 2. Room was SPOTLESS clean and fresh – it has bed(s) with orthopedic mattress!, clean bed shits and pillows (no odors), A/C , desk, TV, fridge. Huge window which overlook the small street (busy during working hours and quite at night). Not claustrophobic! :) 3. Bathroom – SPOTLESS clean (towels which looked as just purchased!) BUT has skinny-lady-shower cabin which was tiny even for my 48kg complexion :),hairdryer, shampoos, soap, shower hat and set of 3 towels. No problems with water pleasure! 4. Big enough (unusual for Rome center) wardrobe (suitable fashion-addicts :), which has safe-box BUT safe-box was take-away style (not-fixed-to wall). Hotel is providing perfect services! It is in center of Rome and very easy to reach from the airport by Shuttle - BE WARE to ask shuttle driver if it stops at Piazza Cavour! as not all shuttles stope there (ticket cost 8 Euro). From shuttle (facing bus) turn to your leftt and follow the street - 4 min walk to hotel. Location 15-20 min. of slow walk from Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Piazza del Popolo, and shopping street –Via del Corso; 5-10 min walk from the Castel St.Angelo and couple min more to the Vatican. LOCATION is excellent! On the left side from the hotel entrance there is the best hidden Roman café where you will find one of the best and fresh croissants! (I was buying even extra for take away – check photos), coffee and snacks – great non-touristic prices. On the same street there are pharmacy, book shop, tabbacci – small shop with cigarettes. I would recommend the place to any traveler with or without kids. Best hotel I have stayed in Rome in years! Will return and already advised friends! Thank you for making my stay pleasant!
