Very, very close to the train station. Also very close to the city center. Close to a supermarket. Very nice location, even though the street was closed for repairing. The first guy that welcomed us wasn't friendly at all. Was mumbling and it looked like new guests were a burden for him. The other two people at the front desk were much friendlier. The sink of the bathroom was clogged and stayed clogged. No elevator to the rooms, so you have to carry some luggage.

- Clean Room - Close to train station and within walking distance of city centre - Room was infested with mosquitos. They came in through cracks in the old shutters and no matter how many we killed we could not get any rest. My husband left with at least 9 bites on his face alone. - Rooms were clean but were not stocked with enough toilet paper and no kleenex was provided. - Light burnt out in bathroom. - TV was old and tiny. - Room did not have a safe.

The room was large enough so the four of us didn't feel cramped. The location is good if you want to stay close to the railway station and it's not too far to walk to the duomo and galleria. A large reason we decided to stay here was based on other traveller's reviews saying how friendly and helpful the staff were - we didn't experience this service.

The roof terrace gave an additional aspect to the hotel with spectacular views across the city. The location was particularly good for using public transport. The characterful lift cage amused us every time we used it, enjoying uits efficiency and speed.

Central location to sight seeings. Good interior design. Sewage in the shower was not working well. Very noisy due to close ongoing construction site. Very loud due to bus station for tourists and their luggage noise.

It was within walking distance to all the attractions. The room was clean and well decorated. We had to park our car at a private car-park which was expensive. The only hotel staff we encountered was more like a supervisor at a boarding school than a hotel manager. He actually refused to give us the remote for the air-conditioner,came to our room with it,and asked us "how many degrees?" in order to operate the device. He also told us to close the door softly.Trying to decide whether this was a drama or a comedy,we found ourselves tiptoeing in our room.A very strange and weird experience.

Location was great. Close to main city attractions, train station, shops and restaurants. Fabio was fantastic, nothing was problem, very helpful. Shower drain blocked which overflowed onto bathroom floor. Had to mop up with towels. Wet towels were then left on the floor after room was serviced. Seemed that this was something known to staff already when reported, and no one seemed to care? Quite dangerous when the complete floor was flooded and slippery when wet.

Clean, very close to train station. Not really a hotel in the usual sense. Rooms on the 4th floor of an office building with two entrances -- one to the Bijou "Hotel" run by the same owner and one clerk handling both. Wireless was not working.

The hotel is very well located, walking distance from most tourist attractions, the price is reasonable. My husband and I were travelling with my mother in law and we stayed in a triple room. The room was spacious, very clean. Although we were near a quite busy area of the city, we heard no noise and slept very well. If you are looking for no- frills travelling, I would recommend this place. The hotel is located in the third floor of an old building. To go up, you need to take a very old lift or use the stairs. We had no problems with the staff in the hotel, but they are not very friendly. A few more smiles would have been welcome. Sometimes they can be quite bossy. One inconvenient is that you have no freedom to operate the air conditioning. The remote control stays at reception and you need to request them to turn it on or turn if off when needed. The problem is that if you feel cold in the middle of the night, you would need to get up, walk to reception, request them to come to your room (you are not allowed to take the remote control yourself!!!) and turn it off. But, if you are travelling no-frills, I see no reason why you should not stay in this hotel.

The hotel is relatively close to the city center and there is parking nearby. The price isn't bad in comparison to other hotels in Florence. Rooms are large and seem to gave been recently renovated. Wifi is only available for a fee. Seven euros for breakfast is a little steep.

close to train station and central city features. As advertised. I booked a room for my sister and I with a comment that we needed two separate beds". This was a surprise to the hotel staff when we arrived, despite my comment being plainly present on their printout of my reservation. I paid 10euro/night extra for two single beds rather than one double. No free wi-fi, and the heater in our room didn't function 90% of the time, despite notifying hotel staff. Not a terrible experience, but have seen better.
