The most welcoming hotel we've ever been to. Pleasant and accommodating. We arrived at 7:30am after an overnight flight and within 30 minutes they had a room prepared for us. They offered us breakfast while we waited. Wonderful customer service. The location was awesome. Very close to the pier, restaurants and shops. They ordered us a taxi which wasn't easy since there aren't that many in the area and too many ships. They kept close contact with us to let us know when a taxi would arrive. I would highly recommend this hotel. Room was a bit dated and beds were okay, balcony was big however, the room was immaculate. Very fair pricing.
Tenuta Dell’Argento, is a comprehensive, charming country resort set at the foot of the Tolfa Hills, boasting splendid panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian coast and the natural Mediterranean landscape.
Surrounded by the vegetation of Punta del Pecoraro, the Sunbay Park Hotel is 0.6 mi from the Porto Riva di Traiano Marina, is 37 mi from Rome's GRA ring road.
Providing free parking, Baia del Sole offers a beachfront location, on-site tennis courts, and a salt-water swimming pool set 656 feet away.

The hotel is an outstanding location for pre-cruise travellers as the location is just a few steps away from Largo della Pace where cruisers pick up the free shuttle to the cruise terminal. Just roll your luggages along the sidewalk then across the street onto the ramp towards area where the shuttle awaits.

Small city. Older buildings and infrastructure.
Small city. Older buildings and infrastructure. Uneven paved sidewalks, some graffiti but seemed very safe. Just an older Italian town that’s packed fairly tight. Lots of dining options, but hours are different from what Americans are used to.

We did not stay long enough to get to know it well enough but what I saw was great. I would advise anyone travelling to a hotel in town and coming off the Barcelona ferry not to use the Sat Nav until well into the centre. It is likely to take you through the port to a controlled gate which you will not be allowed to pass and you will be sent back. Just follow signs to the centre then switch on Sat Nav when well clear of the port.

Great location to explore for a few days.
Great location to explore for a few days. We tag this as more authentic Italy, slightly less tourism.
Best/fresh seafood and pizza.
We skipped this city prior to a previous cruise but glad we stayed this time.
Enjoyed it immensely, liked the vibe. Seafront promenade and parks.
Good shopping, affordable food and an easy walk most places including the train station and cruiseport.
As with most of europe - toilets were a little more difficult to locate, mainly at restaurants.
Our plane was delayed and the ride we scheduled from the Rome airport was canceled. Valerio, the host, suggested a driver and we were able to get to the property, even though it was extremely late. In the morning, Valerio came to the apartment and walked us to the location for boarding the cruise. The apartment is newly renovated, and in a great location. I highly recommend it for anyone planning a stay in Civitavecchia. We recommended the driver to a couple we met on the cruise and the company exceeded the couple's expectations.
The very personable host met us right after we landed at Rome FCO Airport and for a reasonable fee drove us to the apartment in Civitavecchia. The apartment is very close to the cruise port and easy walking distance to the cruise port shuttle bus stop. It is also located less than a mile from the train station where we caught a train into Rome for a DIY excursion the day before our ship sailed. The apartment was very neat and clean and well stocked with goodies for breakfast.
The hosts Maira and her husband was by far the most accommodating host we had throughout 6 stays in Italy. She communicated very well with us and made sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. She went beyond her hostess role and was also like a guide - gave us recommendations for food, beach and grocery, all of which were excellent recommendations. She ensured the room was clean and offered to change towels and tidy apartment even though we had a short stay.
We stayed here for 2 nights before a cruise. Its a beautiful traditional hotel, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice, not a large choice but adequate. There is a bus stop 50m down the road that takes you to the cruise terminal (turn left when leaving the hotel).
Also all the taxis are right there too, we took a taxi as the driver offered a cheaper price than the bus, 5 euro each.
Its only 5 min drive away, but probably 20min to walk.
This guesthouse is modern, clean and comfortable. The manager went out of his way to accommodate us by arranging transport from our hotel in Rome to his guesthouse in Civitavecchia. He also made sure we had reliable transport from the guesthouse to the cruise terminal so we arrived in plenty of time. It was shockingly inexpensive to stay here, certainly relative to the quality and comfort.
Gallery Suite is my go to place when in Civitavecchia. Large, clean, modern rooms with comfy beds. Always great experiences with the Team, very quick to respond to any query. Bar, shop, other business all close by - the promenade is reachable in couple minutes walk, have always found a parking spot close by. Great place to stay.
We loved everything about our stay at Relax! Location, apartment, food, and above all our amazing host! There weren’t any cabs when we arrived at the train station and she even came to pick us up! It was like visiting Italian family! We felt at home! Highly recommend the stay at Relax! Best place in Civitavecchia!
Very nicely renovated appartment in a very central location, few meters away from major nightlife area. Pam supermarket nearby, and many wonderful beaches just 10-15kms away by car. We stayed in Rome in 4* and 5* hotels, but loved our stay Civitavecchia more :-) And big thank you to Paolo, who was super helpful!
We arrived before 1 p.m. and were given our requested room right away. Giuseppe gave us a map of Civitavecchia and was very helpful with suggestions about what to do and where to go in town. This is not a 5* hotel, but a very comfortable place to spend a night or two before getting on a cruise.
Parking was the criteria for booking since parking in Civitavecchia is a challenge. The parking lot was gated and very secure. The staff was very user friendly. Would stay again and recommend especially if you want to have a secure off street parking spot.
Excellent little hotel located in the back streets of Civitavecchia. Authentic Italian street that comes alive at night with local bars and restaurants. Local markets a few metres away. Hotel recently renovated, and friendly staff.
The room with bath was new, clean and beautifully decorated. The owner met us as we arrived earlier than check-in after flying all night from the US. It was in the heart of Civitavecchia near where 6 of our friends were staying,
Simón was wonderful, helpful and kind! The hotel is small, nothing fancy but so clean, pretty, and comfortable.
Perfect for a short period of time to visit Civitavecchia and get into the port if you going to a cruise.
The manager of the hotel, Luca, is a friendly, professional who has a great personality and sense of humor. He will assist you in whatever it is that you need. A great asset to the hotel!
This hotel/apartment has a perfect location. You just walk out the gate and you have all the best restaurants and views in the city. Spacious clean room and comfortable beds.
