Antica Badia Relais Hotel    

The hotel and staff were excellent. Would happily recommend this hotel.

Quiet, off main road position in centre of Ragusa Superiore with on site car parking.

Very poor breakfast, 17 different kinds of cake and 2 breads. Staff not looking after guests nor keeping display properly supplied. No sign of the much vaunted restaurant or menu`s and what passes for a bar has to be seen to be believed. Good job there were 2 decent restaurants within easy reach,which is more than can be said for Ibla,walking to it would be no easy undertaking as some 300 steps are involved and car parking there is the usual Italian nightmare. Ibla is probably the better place to stay although it looks mountainous the centre is relatively flat and has more restaurants and hotels than the main town.

The staff was wonderfully helpful, and the breakfast may have been our best in Sicily. Amazing pastries.

This did NOT bother us, but it's a bit of a walk, and lots of steps, to Ragusa Ibla, where mostnof the "sites" are located.

beautiful facility in an old palacio, very well decorated. Easy to find in an otherwise ancient city, with parking available. The location, especially the old city, is worth the trip. Great shower and bath.

The public rooms are spacious, grand and beautifully decorated. The Queen would feel at home.

No wifi in the bedrooms. The wifi at reception did not work the day we were there.

This is a fantastic hotel, nicely decorated and with a character. I will definately recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately, like many Italian Hotels,the buffet breakfast is a poor, even though we were given everything when we asked for it. I think they should either improve the buffet or else forget about it altogether and do an a la carte menu only.

Beautiful design - the building has been sensitively converted into a delightful and comfortable hotel. Delicious breakfast. Free wifi - a real bonus when so many hotels charge outrageous prices (we never pay - we just don't use it). Perfect setting, an easy walk to the spectacular Ragusa Ibla area. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I'd have been glad of an extra blanket in the cupboard to put on the bed. Sicily can be cold in December! Parking in the courtyard was difficult. You can't help the tight angle from the busy street but perhaps the kerb could be lowered more?

Taxi ride to Ragusa Ilba

The old quality architecture. The new parts were not very well done, but adequate. Very well qualified staff, in particular Ignassio at reception and Paola at breakfast. Maria was very efficient. I returned 2 days later for my panama hat and they had it for me, and the receptionist at the time (I didn't get his name, with glasses) was very courteous. My husband had a full massage and exfoliation treatment and he was very happy with this. He was very dazed and relaxed after and we asked to stay a bit longer after check out time and we were told to relax and not worry. THIS MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE SO WE REALLY DID RELAX - THANK YOU FOR THIS.

The use of scents was over - powering, It actually gave me a headache and my husband didn't stop sneezing until we completely aired the bedroom. We couldn't even smell the perfume on our body. The shower would suddenly get VERY hot and we would have to jump out or turn it off and start again with the mixer - room is FRESIA - please fix this!

All the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They made our stay enjoyable and memorable.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of July and we had a very nice stay. The hotel is in very nicely renovated 18th c palazzo. Rooms are spacious & very comfortable with good AC which is a must during summer time. It's a good base to visit the neighbouring towns. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff.

Small bedrooms

The Hotel simple elegance and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The breakfast was exquisite and so was the dining room. They upgraded my room, free of charge, when they found out that it was my birthday. I will definitely go back there and to Ragusa.

Restaurant un peu cher. Petit déjeuner moyen. Mais surtout la chambre décrite comme "de luxe" n'était pas du tout luxueuse, pas plus que la salle de bains.

Il palazzo che ospita l'albergo è magnifico e in ottime condizioni. La colazione di altissimo livello anche per la categoria dell'albergo. La cortesia del personale squisita.

Dettaglio: dopo che all'arrivo il receptionist disse, di sua iniziativa, che non avrebbe fatto pagare il parcheggio scoperto della moto, poi lo hanno messo in conto per 10 € - verosimilmente mancanza di comunicazione interna.
