Hotel San Lino is set within the medieval walls of Volterra. It offers grounds with swimming pool and sun terrace where you can enjoy a drink from the bar.
Score from 335 reviews Very good
Located in the center of San Gimignano, Hotel Bel Soggiorno offers large rooms and an on-site restaurant serving typical Tuscan dishes. The Chianti wine area is just 12 miles away.
Score from 285 reviews Excellent
It's just a 10 minute walk from the center of Volterra to this 4-star hotel, which is surrounded by the hilly Tuscan countryside and offering an on-site restaurant and friendly service.
Score from 223 reviews Very good
Located in Volterra, the Villa Loghino is a B&B with a garden gazebo. It offers free Wi-Fi and country-style accommodation with free toiletries in the bathroom.
Score from 112 reviews Wonderful
Easy access to the hotel with parking was good.
It was further from the centre of Volterra than we wished. Breakfasts were good and generous.
friendly staff, very flexible with the parking and great breakfast. the room was very clean with a nice bathroom
Very good breakfast
Wrong hotel description: no 24h reception (you'll have to pay extra if you're late), no restaurant (at least 6 persons have to reserve a table), free parking only at the street, far and steep walk into the city, location not at a nice promenade but at the noisy main street to Pisa. Strange unfriendly attitude of the receptionist. It feels somehow as they are annoyed by your presence, because they have to work for you. The only smile we got was while checking out and paying the room.
great breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent location of the main attractions in Volterra
A nice quiet hotel five minutes walk from the old town wall. Free, private and sheltered parking was a bonus as was a the small pool. Beds were very comfortable and the staff helpful.. The breakfast was exceptional and varied.
It is in need of refurbishment, there was a fairly substantial leak from the plumbing under the sink, and the ceiling fan was wobbling around so we declined to use it.
Great old hotel with a fantastic pool. Spacious rooms and great breakfast. Nice quite location a couple of blocks up the hill from the main street in town. Gorgeous views of Montepulciano which is only 9 km away.
Staff did not speak English. I had to look up how to say breakfast in Italian just to see if it was included. Who in the hotel business doesn't know the english word for breakfast? Wi-fi also didn't work for us and no one could help us.
Very helpful staff. Quiet at night - our room overlooked the pool at the back of the hotel.
The location was a disappointment. Described as close to the city centre, it is in fact outside the walls down the road, and quite a walk from the town. Breakfast was only OK - no freshly made coffee for example - and in a rather gloomy room in the basement with no windows.
very good lacalization, close to Volterra city's wall. Very good, tasty breakfasts with lots of food.
very low water pressure in shower
