This is a beautiful house with the most amazing Italian ceilings! We enjoyed our stay and would stay again
Location very close to centre, old building and accommodation is only in 1 floor. Very good accommodation according to price, great for people who want to explore the city and don't plan to spend much time in hotel. Helpfull stuff
Old building, bathroom on the hall.
We had a suite and it was gorgeous...it was not in pristine condition but that added to the charm. It was clean and fully fitted out. The lift is unique and fun. Pinella was very helpful and friendly but we did have a small language problem but we managed to get around that. Really well located hotel too as it is close to everything that we wanted. Pinella arranged a transfer for us from the airport so we were taken straight to the hotel...otherwise we may have had trouble finding it as it isn't well advertised!
It was noisy but we read the reviews and took earplugs so this wasn't a problem for us. The entrance isn't well advertised so may be hard to find for the first time
Very close to the historical part of Catania.
We had a very noisy room - at 5 in the morning the machine cleaning the street woke us up:( The windows on the street should have some sound insolation. Also the smell in the bathroom was heavy:( English was another problem:( The internet didn't work:( Breakfast below the good Italian standard:( We slept in a very good hotel a night before for a lower price. But I trusted the good reviews and got quite dissappointed not for the first time. That's why I give a sincere review. Would prefer to write a good one. Sorry.
Like the interior design- ancient art, especially the lobby. A staff can speak English is so helpful, nice grandma receptionist.
Bad smell from the bathroom maybe because it's an old building
the Elevator is a dream .... must see
I liked d Location indeed accessible to all tourists attractions, Bus Terminal and Market plus Restaurant n Shops. D owner of d Hotel and the Staff are very helpful n friendly. Very clean and everything I Need is here. I got indeed Super Happy Vacation with this Hotel.
All Perfect, No Complaints.
Initially we a couple were put in a very small room which they called a single and our friends who paid the same tariff a much larger more comfortable room, when i complained they moved us to a similar room as our friends which was far more spacious.
The lighting, which was dim and the attitude which was to try and put us in a dingle room when there was a double room available. Also on the website it said free parking. This was not the case and the car had to be parked in a carpark 20-30 mins walk away which cost us an additional 15 euros. I could not recommend this place.
+ very nice, spacious rooms + proximity to bus station + extremely kind and thoughtful personnel
Location, useful map with points of interest we found in the room, value of money
It is strange to wake up and observe that ceiling :) No hairdryer
The room was spacious with high vaulted painted ceilings and close to the heart of the city - a short walk from the famous fish market and all the good restaurants. There was secure parking in the court yard area. The staff were super helpful.
It was a bit tricky to find as there is no sign up and the road is hard to pull up and park on to look at at the building numbers.
The staff or owner were excellent, they really made us feel welcome. At first we weren't sure of the area but realized after walking about a bit the next day, that it could not be in a better place. So close to everything and only a short distance from Piazza Doumo.
We didn't particularly like the main entrance. It doesn't look like a hotel from outside so could be missed quite easy when you are looking for it. On arriving you have to ring a bell to get in, enter through large wooden doors and the B & B is on the second floor. It does have lift access though.
Good location, decent breakfast. The building itself is very nice,it just needs some maintenance work and improvements.
The owner took all our IDs for checking them twice when we got there and also when we left. The bathrooms were cold and had no heating system.
The owner and also members of staff were really helpful and nice. It has a great location, clean and the bar is cool, tipical sicilian where we got our breakfast. Only +++ :) Thank you for everything our stay in Catania.
Fancy lift taking directly to B&B, location
Noisy from the big street, difficult to park ( although the stay was booked using filter "parking", the parking is " if there is a place on a street")
Simple, clean, unfussy accommodation close to the sights of Catania. Pinella is friendly and helpful with very good recommendations. Breakfast in the bar next door was a good experience and the lift has to be experienced too.
Lack of English spoken was a problem at first.
Was no real breakfast - we only got vouchers for coffee&croissant to the coffee shop 2 streets fare.
Pinella Caruso takes care of her guests individually. She is always eager to help. My room not only had a lovely four-poster bed and a balcony, but a beautiful painted vaulted ceiling. That gave the room an old world charm, while the modern bathroom and air-conditioning provided comfort and convenience. Add in the amazing elevator with red-covered benches to sit on at the end of a long day and the ideal location a few minutes from the fish market and Duomo, and you have a perfect b&b.
Everything was perfect.
All is OK.
Excellent location for a trip to catania,my boyfriend and I used it as a base whilst we visited etna/taormina/saracussa. Excellent location
Clean, nice design, friendly staff and family-like atmosphere, all according to the offer. Really good localisation (oldtown, 300 m to the main square and cathedral, same with bus interchange stop with convenient buses to beach or main station).
Good location, near the fish market, bus stop, city center.Un enorme ringraziamento al personale per la loro disponibilità ad aiutare!
noisy, if you want to sleep with the windows open
