I had a fabulous stay here over Valentine’s weekend. The location was absolutely fantastic – within walking distance of pretty much every major attraction. You really couldn't ask for a better location! The room itself was brilliant – very grand with a comfy bed, high ceilings and paintings hanging on the walls. Really in keeping with the feeling of Rome :) It was also very spacious for two people. The breakfast was a buffet served a short walk away at a sister hotel. The food itself was nice and simple (pastries, bread, cheese, cereal etc), but the location on the hotel rooftop was great. We had lovely views of the city… the perfect way to start the day! I’d absolutely recommend staying here and can’t wait to book my next trip back! Thanks guys!
My only slight negative was that there were no ironing facilities in either our building, or the sister hotel (apparently they were removed a few months earlier after an incident with a guest). We were told where to find a launderette, but this was easier said than done (lots of small, windy street etc!) and took us a lot of wondering around to find which ate into our holiday. Would definitely not put me off staying again though :)
My girlfriend has a severe nut allergy, which most places in the UK don't cater for. However the staff at this hotel went out of their way for us to ensure that there were nut free options available which was greatly appreciated. The location was perfect, although if I was to do it again I'd stay in the main building with the reception as it seemed a slightly higher standard.
The room was a little shabby (Fillide) and we could hear the other guests enjoying their stay on a few occasions too! Only other gripes would be that there was only 1 large clean towel available and the street noise was quite loud.
Perfect location for sightseeing. Private front door and entry to room gave degree of independence, while retaining the convenience of having hotel reception on call. Loads and loads of hot water. Rooftop breakfast terrace nice way to start the day.
it was nice to be in the hotel, nicely decorated rooms, attentive staff and good breakfast with beautiful views of Rome
The rooms are all made to look like renaissance palace rooms - they are super. Location directly next to Piazza Navona gives walking access to all of central Rome. Many extremely small (non-touristy) eateries and enotecas in the streets west of the hotel. Super breakfast on the roof.
At 193cm (6ft 3") the bed was to short and my feet hung over the end. Floors and bathroom was very clean but much of the renaissance décor is a dust trap that needed cleaning.
Antique style , cosie room, immediate respond from the stuff , very traditional street , the terrace where they serve breakfast had a lovely view of Rome !
The Breakfast was very poor , no eggs , the croissants was bad and had limited choises, poor installation and the bathroom had cheap sampoo and no shower gel !
location,room size,espresso machine
left early in the morning , came back at night so not much complaints
the room was fantastically well decorated, the room was large and spacious and with large windows for fresh air, a fabulous way to end our month in Italy.
We loved being here. We were in the hotel annex which actually made it special as we were in our own little world. Main hotel very close for breakfast on the sun terrace. Lovely large room and nice bathroom with jacuzzi bath! 10/15 minute walk to the Vatican and other main attractions. The Trevi fountain was drained when we were there but you had a walkway to view the restorations. 10 mins to the Parthenon. Short bus journey to the colosseum, bus 87 outside hotel. Not to miss is the view of Rome from the top of the palazzo Venezia, there is a lift that takes you to the top where you stand between the two huge chariots. This is higher than the dome of st Peters and a better view. All in all 10 out of 10.
Good location to everywhere I think,I really like every evening after dinner walking to the piazza navona enjoying the night view ,just 5minutes by walking, also 15minutes to viticano by walking.the stuffs are very helpful and nice.got some useful informations about attractions, also I ordered the car service from hotel to airport ,worth it..I was happy to stay this hotel ,gave me free upgrade room, fabulous !I recommend this hotel, and this is my choice for next time back Roma.
Huge rooms Period furniture Quiet
The rooms were boiling hot, air con didn't do much The reception staff, the lady was going on holiday the following day, but her attitude was appalling. Breakfast was included in the rate but the location on the top floor, outside and if it was raining a small marque was erected which could hold 6-8 tables of 2 and was cramped, it was raining!
Great location, cool design, comfortable bed.
Very noisy, not only from the street but one could hear every single sound coming from the other rooms.
The location was excellent for central Rome. The rooms were large and and the decor very atmospheric. The breakfast was basic but served on a roof terrace with great views. The waitress serving breakfast was lovely and worked her socks off.
The air conditioning in one of the rooms was not working and despite reporting it on our first day it was not fixed during our stay which meant the room was unbearably hot and sleep was difficult. Given the cost of the room I would have expected better and more to have been done to rectify the problem. In the end we were told that none of the previous guests had complained and we felt we were being ignored. Without this I would have rated the hotel higher but as it is I can't recommend it.
Really one of the best locations in Rome - 1 minute from Piazza Navona and 5-minute walk from Vatican (just one street away from San Angelo Castle). Trust me, you can be more central and close to the main attractions of glorious Rome than that! Perfectly friendly staff is ready to assist with anything on the 24/7 basis. Uniquely great designs of rooms make you feel like living in the slightly post Renaissance, a bit modernized by coffee machines, sockets and bathroom facilities though, which can't be a minus surely :) Terrace of the Hotel offers a nice view over Rome and its cupols (including one of San Pietro) as well as makes you meet the most common inhabitants of Roma which are the greedy and shouty seaguls. Feeding them during a breakfast is sure a fun, but it often results into broken dishes as soon as you get distracted and let the bird come closer :) Oh yeah, this terrace is open 24/7, so make sure that one evening a take a nice bottle of wine, any food you might need (if any) and pack of cigs (if applicable) and spend a nice afterlunch party on that lovely terrace. It will end some vivid experience and joy to the overall stay and might make you feel like a real Roman dweller! In a nutshell, sorta one of the best options for surely the best city in the world. PS Beware: "saint" guy (if any saint, but corrupt bishop from Medici era) on the picture just in front your bed is watching you. Consider it, if romantic evening with a lover goes that far :)
Rooms are meticulously appointed with cove lighting, oil paintings, floor to ceiling curtains, high wood bean ceilings and situated in a quiet side street near Piazza Navona.
Remote public parking was pricey
Location was fantastic. If you want to be close to everything, and have a spacious, quaint room, this is the place!!!!
The staff was very friendly. Without being asked, the girl gave us a lot of information about the local area. We checked out the hotel for a short trip to Napoli, left 2 bags at the reception. Upon our return, the receptionist had already arranged to put our bag in the room (We were very grateful for this kind gesture as the B&B is about 1 minutes walk from the reception on a bit bumpy street. And we were tired after a 2 days trip)
breakfast is poor. The fruit were not really fresh, some were almost off. The breakfast is on the roof. The view is great however it was too hot to sit there. The staff at the bfst place were very nice people as well.
Great location, good staff, enjoyed the rooftop breakfast, interesting room decor, good air-conditioning.
Via Coronari is a perfect location , staff is very helpful and welcoming, rooftop terrace has a beautiful view
Very nice location. Room spacious enough and clean. Very good air conditioning which was essential in the heat of Rome. Friendly reception staff - made to feel very welcome. Nice decor in bedroom if a little dark. Would use the hotel again despite some faults.
Breakfast terrace - not enough shaded areas to sit and it was very warm even in the morning. Breakfast very basic . No mirror in bedroom. Shower cubicle very small. Had requested superior room and was not given one.
View from terrace for breakfast was excellent. The hotel location was also excellent.
Luggage had to be opened and kept on the floor, very inconvenient.
breakfast was bad as breads and croissant were not fresh. as we have requested for 2 twin beds however we were given a sofa bed instead. the hotel should have informed us of it during our booking that rooms does not have twin beds.
The location was great and the staff very helpful. The suite was spacious and the breakfast was plentiful and served on the rooftop, which was lovely.
The location was fabulous but it was noisy, even with the windows closed and the air conditioning turned on. The suite wasn't extremely well lit either.
Large rooms Location Breakfast terrace Free minibar, coffee machine
Bit of a smell in the bathroom
We had the breast room in the hotel. It was creatively and beautifully decorated...a lot of fun.
