We were so pleased with our stay At Antica Dimora. It was in a perfect location and within walking distance of 90% of what there is to see in Rome. We enjoyed that we were tucked back in the Italian streets and felt like true Italian living. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this room to anyone and if we return to Italy it will be the first place I contact to stay!

    Decoration of room

That it was not a hotel with a reception in the same building. This fact was omitted on the web page.

The staff was excellent and the built-in rooftop breakfast was amazing. We also loved the convenience of the location and that the hotel entrance feels private and "local." That was really charming.

The shower was dirty and the sheets weren't the softest. These little triggers left me feeling like the overall room wasn't the cleanest, even though it wasn't super dirty. It was just an adequate room in a great location, but felt dark and claustrophobic – not a place I wanted to spend my time. But since I was on vacation, I wanted to be outside anyways!

Can't beat the location, it's perfect!

The room was really small and dark. The shower had mould spots, even thought it was clean.

Location, morning breakfast was good but service was a little slow.

Thankfully the owners were kind enough to upgrade us, otherwise we would have had trouble staying in such a small room

The Antica Dimora dell'Orso was a lovely and interesting place to stay, much more-so than a typical hotel. We highly recommend it!

Amazing staff and wonderful environment. Very beautiful room. Just 3 minutes from Piazza Navona. Breakfast is served in room.

Bathroom is not as good as the room, but it is ok. There are not smokers rooms.

position is really difficult to beat

depending on the room you may end up with a small or big room as there is not consistency. The building is really and most of the room are facing internal walls, kind of depressing

Very unique rooms, located in a central part of Rome. Easy to walk around. Never needed a taxi, except to get to the airport.

The key to the door--one of those ancient long keys that fits into a big key hole--didn't always work easily. The lock was fidgety. We couldn't unlock the door to our room for about 15 minutes on the first night, until a neighbor helped us out. It freaked out the family.

Huge, enormous rooms! Customer service was excellent, our ac wasn't working well the first night and they fixed it the first day. Still wasn't working very well, but they got it working great the next night. Great location as well!!

We loved our spacious room and good shower and toilet facilities. The location was also excellent as was the breakfast in the room! We also liked the fact that this is not a hotel but a B&B with an entrance like that of any other apartment in the heart of Rome. For us this place was perfect!

As said we really enjoyed the "apartment-like" entrance to this B&B, however, it may be hard to spot when you arrive and if you want a hotel lobby and entrance, this place hasn't got them.

We loved this little hotel - the bathroom was large (for European standards). All of the employees we dealt with where quite friendly and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to visit - the Vatican, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Coliseum, Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps.

It was very hot while we were in Rome. The room did have an air conditioner, but it struggled to keep up (although it worked much better than the one in a room we had in Paris!!)

Good breakfast served in the room, had to pay a little extra to get cheese and ham on the bread though. Very good location and nice rooms in an old building.

The hotel was located central to all the sights of Rome that we were interested in visiting: Spanish steps, Palantine Hill, Colosseum, etc. There was a never ending source of restaurants, cafes, shops around the hotel. We were a five-minute walk to the Metro which made it convenient for us to get to with all our luggage. Breakfast was served in the room and received on time each morning which was a nice touch to add value to the service. The decor was very rustic and the furniture was dark wood antiques. The ceiling was exposed wood beams that I can only assume were original to the building. Very quiet area.

A little hard to find as it is tucked in a side lane and very dark leading up to it. (We arrived at about 9:30 p.m.) There was no one there to let us in to the hotel once we did arrive. We had to call to have someone come to let us in. They did, however, show up very quickly so we only waited about 5 minutes to be let in. The lighting in the room (for evenings) was inadequate due to the dark furnishings and dark ceiling.
