This aparthotel type accommodation. Location was fantastic. Loads of space - big sofa bed and double bed in different rooms each with shower room for price of ordinary hotel double.

Not a problem for me but three flights of stairs - historic building no lift.

A superbly converted apartment with a most helpful and friendly receptionist in an ideal location in the centre of the city.

It was no problem to us but I feel there should have been a warning that there are 41 very steep stone stairs up to the first floor (with more above) and it would be quite unsuitable for anyone with any mobility problems.

Signora Danya was very kind, helpful and was prompt upon our arrival. She was ready and waiting for us. She is a very hard worker. She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner at la Baralla. (where the locals eat). We speak Italian and were seated with other Italians. The hotel is right in the center of everything in centro storico.

1. My wife and I should have asked for a calling card to know how to reach Danya after hours, as the hotel does not have 24 hour front-desk service. (we were able to reach her through her friend at the gelateria just across the street from the hotel). Danya had made reservations for us for a departure taxi but we never got a confirmation that the taxi had, indeed, been reserved (which it had been done as promised). But not knowing this, we called a separate taxi, not knowing that she was using a private taxi service. 2. Breakfast was on our own.

Very friendly and helpful reception, excellent location next to duomo and main shopping street, fantastic view, modern rooms and big bathrooms.

Stunning Apartment style Hotel with a lovely common area and very nice big comfy well appointed rooms with new designer furnishings. We also had a great big common roof top area where we could enjoy drinks in the evening. The roof top looked over one of the main Piazza's and Duomo and amazing area views. Lovely lady that helped us check in and a great host!

No lift and very steep stair which made it very hard as we had two big heavy suitcases to take up and down 4 flights but the lady that greeted us and host was so kind to help us and was really lovely to deal with

Huge number of stairs, so unsuitable for infirm and older people; check-in arrangements were rather random: when I arrived, there was nobody on the desk and I had to ring the hotel by mobile to get someone to come. Nothing whatever is provided, though there is a fridge in each room. A kettle and some coffee and tea would be useful.

Gorgeous beautifully decorated, light airy room. Comfortable bed and great pillows, fabulous spa bath and rain shower. Location absolutely perfect for exploring Florence on foot everything easily accessible. Friendly service - exceptional value for money, wish I had stayed longer than 2 nights.

Breakfast in Hard Rock Cafe only pasteries on offer with coffe and juice, not ideal. Also could not get sky TV to work, but minor issues overall.

Lots of stairs

Great location. Fantastic room and all-in-all just a good fell. More of an "apartment-feel" than your standard hotel experience but I mean that in a very positive way.

Central location, spotless and spacious rooms with excellent facilities, very contemporary. Front of house ladythat met us on arrival was so very, very helpful.

Lot of stairs to climb, no problem for us young ones, parking is at least 10 minutes walk from hotel, however if you can negotiate your way around and through the streets of Lucca you can arrive right outside the hotel for unloading with no problemo.

excellent apartment in size and furnishing, really great views from top apartment to the piazza. there is no reception- if you are standing in front of a closed door, you can ask the lady from the gelateria opposite to call the receptionist, so no problem but you have to know it.

not recommended for somebody with walking disabilities, no lift and lots of stairs, if you are staying in the Penthouse.

Nicely remodelled 1 BR suite with comfortable, 4-star equivalent furnishings. Very large LCD TV in the main room and a 26 inch LCD TV in the bedroom. Great shower and even better air con in both main room and separate unit in the bedroom. Big refrigerator, more than one could possible need considering the suite had no kitchen or cooking facilities. Can't beat the location, right in the centre of Lucca. Be aware of limited check-in times and no lift.

Although cafes abound just steps away, it would be great to have a kettle and tea/coffee to make in the room.

Amazing renovation of this building. Rooms and bathrooms wonderful. Great location for shopping, dinner, strolling. Piazza San Michele right out the door. Would definitely stay here again!

Friendly and attentive staff as well as the location and quality of the facility made for a perfect stay in Lucca. Right in the heart of the walled city, yet several floors above the Piazza St. Michele with views of the cathedral and the hills beyond. Newly redone with sparkling new large bath and fresh decor, though maintaining the "ancient" atmosphere throughout. It was a lucky strike when we found this hotel and we would highly recommend it.

Several flights of steep stairs left you huffing when you reached the top, but Tania (the proprietress) seemed to have no trouble with our bags. Well worth it.

No Wifi, No tea or coffee, no food. Endless stairs to climb with heavy luggage, no reception office, no life. Just a huge room with a bed and large bathroom. All very nice to look at but like being in the middle of the desert.No atmosphere.

Ich habe vier Nächte ein sehr schönes, großes 2-Zimmer-Appartement bewohnt: mit eigener Dachterrasse mit Blick auf die Piazza San Michele - Abendsonne, wunderschöner, sehr romantischer Ausblick - einfach wirklich außergewöhnlich. Auch das Badezimmer ist ein Traum (mit toller Luxusdusche) und das Bett ist bequem, die Matratze fest, das Sofa im Wohnzimmer bequem, WLAN funktioniert ... Sehr freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption - sonst war das Personal weitgehend unauffällig bis unsichtbar. Das Appartement war tadellos sauber und alles funktionierte bestens. Ich habe mich hier rundum sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen zu Sehenswürdigkeiten, Cafés, Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, sogar zum Bahnhof. Mit dem Auto kann man allerdings quasi nicht zum Hotel fahren: man müßte sich zunächst eine Einfahrtgenehmigung an der Rezeption holen. Das ist aber bei leichtem Gepäck auch gar nicht notwendig.

Am Wochenende Fr / Sa ist auf dem Platz abends / nachts lange Musik und "viel Betrieb". Da hätte ich mir gewünscht, daß die schönen alten Fenster etwas besser schallgedämmt wären - nun ja, man kann nicht alles auf einmal haben.

Forse un pò la mancanza di una vera Reception, ma la tempestività di intervento,la gentilezza e la disponibilità della Sig.ra Tania sono stati davvero encomiabili.

Posizione fantastica, chiedere la camera all'ultimo piano. Camera grandissima completa di salottino, pulita e con ogni comfort. Consigliatissimo.
