Antica Casa Coppo is an ancient Venetian residence 270 yards from Saint Mark's Square. Formerly the home of a wealthy merchant, it offers unique rooms with frescoed walls or ceilings. Rooms at the Antica Casa are enriched with precious tapestries and some also feature exposed wooden beams on the ceiling. Each room comes with private bathroom, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. The location and room were very nice. The breakfast was also good. Not excellent, but good. Teh booking was not as well organised as I hoped. We booked a room with bath and did not get one. They said I we only book a standard room until I showed them my receipt which said we had booked a superior room with a bath and only then did they accpet the fault was theirs and change the room. At the same time another guy was booking in and arguing over the parking as he was told the hotle provided parking, but did not and so he had to pay an additonal 18 euro for parking per night.

The location of the hotel is very good. You are just 5 - 10minutes away from the Rialto vaporetto stop, and within an easy walk to St. Mark's Square. The Wi-Fi access in the room was great. I can't comment on any other room but the one we had - Celsi - but two people and two suitcases were a challenge in the living area of this room. There was barely enough room between the ends of the beds and the wall to sidle through. The hotel's description says there is a 24-hour bar; there is no longer any bar at all. They advertise 24-hour reception, however there is no staff on premises at night. They also advertise a tv room, and a breakfast room. This is technically correct, but it is all the same room, and would be the bar also if it still existed. Also, this is the first hotel I've stayed in in Italy that didn't offer some kind of map to it's guests.

Location was good, so enabled us to see the city easily. What was best, was the welcome we got from receptionist (Claudia) who was so lovely and couldnt do enough to make us comfortable and she gave us helpful advice. She is an asset to the hotel and would make anyone feel welcome who stayed there. Sometimes staff in hotels appear standoffish and unwelcoming, but not in this case. Also, the lady (didnt know her name) who served us breakfast and also cleaned the rooms. She was good at her job and also an asset to the hotel. Would recommend and would stay again No tea coffee making facilities in room but other than that I couldnt really find fault. (Must say the photos on website greatly enhanced the actual rooms ! maybe showing just the premier rooms? Which gave the impression all rooms were as good but not the case) The difficulty with Venice hotels (not just this one) is obviously the struggle with cases through the streets to board the water taxis and boats. But worth it, for the beautiful city and scenery. !!

Pretty room for three. Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was decent with cheese, ham, beverage and nice croissants Not easy to find, as it is located at a small turn in an alley. With our big luggage, we went up and down a few bridges before we finally found it. We waited for a while for the person-in-charge to come as the number left on the door was somehow unreachable.

The staff was very friendly. The cafe machine will off after breakfast time. So if you want to get hot water, u need to ask the staff to turn on again and wait for 20 mins. And there were no staff after 8pm. And the location was difficult to find. The street name cannot find in the map in the train station.

staff was nice, our room was small but comfortable and clean , batheroom was good. location was excellent near metro station and it's only two stops untill colesum (old city centre) . also near the hotel is lots of markets and restaurants ,pizzerias... it's an excellent hotell for good price as specially if you are withuot a car

This was a delightful place to stay within easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and major attractions. As a guide, about 5-10 minutes walk in either direction to San Marco Square or Rialto bridge. Rooms were very pleasant and clean and although the hotel is close to busy shopping streets, it is tucked away so not noisy. Family room consisted of two single beds for the kids and a sofa bed for the adults. The sofa bed was not the most comfortable but apart from this the room overall was very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall we loved our stay here.

Excellent location and close to both San Marco and Rialto. Very clean room and ideal for a few nights in Venice. The sloping bathroom roof with the window right over the toilet - I do pray that there was a one-way window pane!!!
