Take a short walk and you can admire the magnificent cathedral and the splendid Palazzo Piccolomini. The Antica Locanda is located in a 15th century palace that was the site of a Papal Secretariat. Newly renovated, the Antica Locanda is equipped with modern facilities, yet preserving its antique charm. Please not the building does not feature an elevator. The rooms, with exposed beam ceilings, are spacious and decorated with antique Tuscan furnishings. The atmosphere is refined and relaxing. Cozy, self-catering apartments are also available. Some of the rooms have breathtaking views of the Val d'Orcia (UNESCO site) unfolding below Pienza, while others overlook the charming historic center of Pienza. Thanks to Barbara for her caring disposition. Excellent location to get away from the hustle of Roma. Large room(s) for family of 4 and very reasonably priced. Splendid view of countryside, in a quaint village with great shops, that is quiet. Can you ask for more and we would have stayed longer! It is a little off the beaten path and I guess that is why Cortona is more popular, but give it a try!

Pulizia delle stanze e posizione del'hotel Assolutamente si: colazione consistente in merendine e caffè solubile da preparare da soli in camera. Più corretto non scrivere che la colazione è inclusa!!

Bella la camera e l'arredamento, posizione centralissima ma impossibile da raggiungere in auto, quindi è sconsigliabile a chi ha bagagli pesanti. La colazione è di scarsissima qualità con latte congelato e macchinetta elettrica del caffè

La cosa che più colpisce è l'estrema cortesia e disponibilità della signora che gestisce la locanda. L'ubicazione è centralissima e comoda sia per parcheggiare l'auto sia per visitare il borgo. Le stanze sono calde e spaziose. Ottimo per un fine-settimana. La dicitura "colazione in camera" induce in errore. In camera si trova il "necessario" per prepararsi da soli un cappuccino/caffè/tè con biscotti etc.

De ligging in Pienza is uitstekend. De kamers die wij hadden waren zeer ruim en sfeervol met oude meubelen ingericht. Veel privacy omdat er geen receptie is. Voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn of grote koffers vol bagage meesjouwen kan het lastig zijn. De kamers liggen op de het niveau van de tweede en derde verdieping en er is geen lift.

E' un palazzo medievale posto lungo il corso principale della cittadine. E' un posto affascinante. La nostra camera all'ultimo piano aveva una vista meravigliosa. Il ristorante consigliatoci era ottimo! Ci sono molte scale da fare per salire alle camere e non si arriva davanti alla struttura con l'auto. Se avete dei bagagli grandi puo' risultare scomodo.

Il silenzio! Scarsa disponibilità a fornire I cuscini richiesti al momento della prenotazione (4), una sola bottiglietta d'acqua per due persone, colazione "fai da te" che non abbiamo consumato perché almeno in vacanza ci piace essere "coccolati"!

La situación de la casa ,estava en medio del pueblo. Muy tranquilo para ser un pueblo italiano. Tenias que pagar 20€ diarios suplementarios si querias utilizar la cocina del apartamento,en la reserva no decia nada. Por lo que el precio del apartamento no era el que ponia la pagina de booking.

La posizione. La stanza era adiacente alla reception e quindi molto rumorosa, praticamente una portineria. Il check out è stato anticipato rispetto all'orario indicato nella prenotazione. Mancanza di una sala per la colazione.

grandeur de la chambre, propreté, situation Nous étions 2 couples dont la réservation était faite en même temps. Nous avons été hébergés dans 2 chambres situés dans 2 établissements différents. Petits déjeuners compris dans le prix, mais nettement insuffisants: pour nous, 2 biscottes et des viennoiseries industrielles. Pour nos amis, petit déjeuner dans un bar qui n'ouvrait qu'à 9 heures: café et un croissant seulement. Pas d'ascenseur.

“It's in a great location to explore Pienza, Montalchino and Montepulciano. Our room was outrageously beautiful. We had a junior suite, with a private garden. The staff was wonderful; very friendly and helpful (and they spoke English!)
