I loved their traditional Italian breakfast! But most of all it was the family that owed the property that I liked most about my stay. They where very informative about the island and went out of their way to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable.

Shower pressure and drainage in the shower booth need to be improved.
Great hospitality and good travel advice from the host. Unexpected burthday cake at the breakfast table. I was impressed by the warm hospitality.

Antico Monastero's name speaks for itself. The two rooms of this stay are located in an old monastery and offer an unique ambiance. Our room was furnished with love for details and much taste. The hosts are the nicest we've ever had. Alessandro and his dad speak English really good and that is not common in Italy! Breakfast was excellent and of great variety (we got selfmade cake every day and even baby cookies for our baby). Alessandro gave us tips on what is worth visiting and seeing on the island of Capri every day in great detail and we thank him very much! Many thanks again from our little families from Bulgaria!

There are charming hosts - the owner himself prepared and served in a special breakfast. Very nice people. Son gave us 300% info on Capri - better as a guide. You can buy a hostess made Limonchello. Rooms are romantic, very specifically created - according to the monastery. Definitely recommend this hotel! This is the best accommodation where we stayed. Thank you very much great hosts!

The owners are a VERY nice and welcoming family which made us feel at ease. The son (Alessandro) speaks very good english and gave us excellent tips about places to see ,hiking paths and affordable restaurants . The house is very quiet , being situated in the historic center of Anacapri (no cars allowed). The breakfast is good for Italy (not only sweets, but savoury stuff). Also home made pastries.

The location in Anacapri is perfect and the house is very charming. The family who received us is more than caring with their guests. The home made breakfast is delicious and if you follow their good advices (restaurants, things to do), you will spend an amazing time in Capri! Antico Monastero is the best quality/price ratio of the island!

The true tourism is not only services, location or landscape, but is the about friendly people who are opening not only their historical house but their souls and make you part of the family, relaxing you with kindness, stories and advices.

This is a very special place with a lot of history in a beautiful island. We had a quite night and great conversations! We hope to return very soon. Thank you very much!

The wi-fi in the room never worked on my phone (even though we were very close to the router), and only on-and-off for my friend. We tried to unplug the router and then plug it back in, as the owners suggested, but to no avail. Also, the shower was quite tiny, and there didn't seem to be any heating in the bathroom so it was a little cold when I stepped out. Those are minor issues, however, we had a very nice stay overall.
This hotel resides in an old monastery, and looks like it, too: lovely design, from the arched ceilings to the colors and textures on the dishes at breakfast. The owners were all very nice and happy to help with whatever we needed, such as checking if there was indeed a ferry leaving for Sorrento the night that we planned to sail there, or recommending attractions in Capri. Our room was spacious, with a kitchenette we could use for an additional fee, a small balcony, a small TV, a hanger for clothes, a table we could sit at, etc. Beds were comfortable. The design was very nice as stated above. Breakfast was good with a decent variety. Most impressive, however, is the following fact: we were originally only going to stay at the hotel for one night, which cost 70 euros, a great price in itself. However, we ended up staying an additional night because there were no boats to Sorrento due to the weather. The hotel owners gave us an "emergency price" of only 50 euros for the second night! That was extremely gracious of them, especially considering they could've charged us MORE instead of less, claiming that we hadn't originally booked the room for another night and it was trouble for them. The location of the hotel is also good - it's in a beautiful shopping street that's closed to traffic (taking a walk down said street is a real treat), and close to Villa San Michele in Anacapri and the Grotta Azzura. While most of the attractions are in Capri itself, it's a short bus ride away. All in all, the Antico Monastero Di Anacapri is highly recommended to anyone visiting Capri.

Nothing, really. We had a great experience.
Antico Monastero Di Anacapri is a B&B located in what was the communal section of an old monastery (meaning you will not stay in a nun's cell...). It is managed by a friendly and helpful family. The room we stayed had a lot of character (see web pages) and at the same time was spacious and had all modern facilities. The location is perfect - a couple of minutes' walk from the village center but in a quite side street. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a B&B rather than a standard hotel room

There is a bit of a damp smell when you first enter but this is the lowest floor and it disappears as soon as you get up the stairs.
A lovely welcome from the host including a complementary lemoncello. The room was absolutely spotless! Really great location and a fascinating story to the B and B and our particular room- Its where the nuns used to sing! Ask to see the model of the church and monastery that his son made. The best breakfast of our trip and the host was so helpful with telling us about things to do on the island. (Recomend a day to Faro Beach club) Has good wifi connection. Thoroughly recommend this place.

Antico Monastero - yes you will be very fine here, as the motto says. Hosts Rosario, Carlo and Allessandro made us so welcome that we are sure we would not have enjoyed Capri so much without their helpfulness and friendliness. In a quieter part of Anacapri, but easy to reach, it offered a more relaxing stay far from the madding crowd. Allessandro told us so much about the house, church and island. We have vowed to return to stay with this lovely, kind and warm family.

Great decoration and atmosphere, and very well located in the center of Anacapri, really close to the buses to Capri and to landmarks like Axel Munthe's villa, the Mount Solaro chair lift or the Casa Rossa. An excellent place to enjoy the island without the crowds and noise of Capri. The family who runs it are really kind and helpful and really make you feel at home. Especial mention to the home-made breakfast, our mouth still waters at the thought of "la caprese"!

Nothing, all was perfect!
Warm welcome, very friendly and helpful people (Alessandro and his father). Quite place, in the middle of Annacapri. Easy to reach from the bus stop (~5 min walk). Very big room with kitchen and dining area. Great value for money and a fantastic experience.
