Within close proximity to places of interest.
Breakfast is ordinary, when in Rome I expect a good cup of coffee for breakfast.
The hotel was lovely with a beautiful courtyard. Across the street is a beautiful church called Santa Maria Maggiore. Within walking distance ( 10-15 minutes) of the Colloseum, The Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Circus Maximus and the Capitoline Museum. Really enjoyed our stay!
They had a nice breakfast which was included, but ran out of staple foods ( like eggs !) fairly early- so if you didn't go to breakfast early- you had an inadequate breakfast. Considering the price- they really should improve in this area.
The location was out of the busy centre so quiet, but within walking distance of Rome's main attractions. Also near the station as we arrived by train. The hotel has a peaceful courtyard garden which is an added bonus in a city. The room was clean and comfortable, if a little small. Nice bathroom. Good WiFi.
The breakfast was good but tended to run out of coffee which wasn't the best anyway. A small issue in an otherwise very pleasant hotel.
The airconditioner in our room was faulty. They didn't let us know at check-in. We returned at night to our room where we had all our luggage and some valuables to find the windows, which were low to the ground, wide open to allow a make shift cooler to operate. If this wasn't bad enough, the faulty airconditioner hadn't been turned off so at 9pm, just after we'd got our children to sleep, a MAJOR WATERFALL erupted from the ceiling into the middle of our room. My husband and I sprang out of bed and ran around trying to put towels underneath it. We called the front desk. They didn't come so I eventually went down to them. The cascading water had slowed down by the time we got back up so the staff member just said "yeah, that's because of the faulty airconditioner" and walked away. We had to chase the staff up for replacement towels, there was no offer to move us to a new room and there was no offer of any type of compensation. The road the hotel is on is very noisy and all that noise came into our room because of the open windows (which made us feel unsafe and I had to carry all our valuables around during our stay because the room wasn't secure)
Our triple room was big and comfortable. The location is very good. The inside garden is realy beautifull
Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception, nice building and location
Breakfast was somewhat disappointing compared with the otherwise high standard of the hotel
Bed Wifi Elevators Outdoor terrace Near santa Maria maggiore Bidet Maid service was ok
Shower head, antique not hand held Quality of breakfast Indifferent staff Necessary for cabs A/C not efficient Wall switch plate hanging off wall (maybe a fire hazard?)
Nice quality hotel with nice furnishings
Breakfasts were a little limited
Air conditioning was awful, had to ask for fan to cool room. Shower broken -reported to reception but nothing done
The inner patio and the staff
Air conditioning was very nosy. Bathroom wasn't very clean. We were they four nights and we only got shampoo and bath gel, small sizes, the first day. Breakfast was very poor and low quality for a four stars hotel. No drinks available in the room or the hotel. Almost no staff available.
Great position Staff were very good and friendly
Room was very small Bathroom left a lot to be desired Breakfast very ordinary
Breakfast includes both hot and cold options hotel of great architectural interest, situated in Rome town centre, opposite to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, very close to Roma Terminal railway station and the air terminal. The rooms are furnished in style and elegance, and all have TV,air-conditioning and mini bar.
Location and historical building.
The breakfast choices, amount of food, and presentation were disappointing for a four star hotel. Better food quality and attention to detail would help tremendously. I travel to many places in Europe and North America, and this was a mocking of four star hotels. It does no justice to it's rating, for sure. It takes away from the enjoyment of what Rome has to offer.
Expensive rate and ordinary breakfast
nice building but a little confusing : to many corridors and stairs ....
the elevator and the air conditioning
Great location staff very helpful would recommend
Great location, very nice hotel with real Authentic Rome feel, great view of the Basilica Santa Maria from our room. Marco at the front desk was extremely helpful with restaurants, suggestions & directions.
Only one plug-in sockets for electronics
Location closer to trimini station
Not more then 3 star ..old rooms with poor air conditioning ..at night there is only one staff available so any problem can't be looked after not a good option for the money
It's a good location. Rooms are very quiet. Not fancy, but nice. Free WiFi, free parking.
Location was great and the staff was very accommodating.
Room was small, but otherwise comfortable and nice.
place, building) everything
Everything, staff was exceptional, loved patio/backyard available to all guests, perfect for chilling during hot Roman summer.
Breakfast very poor, some items reheated from previous days.
The room was really comfortable, nice bathroom and good wifi connection. There was plenty of food in breakfast buffet. The best thing concerning hotel is its location, you can get anywhere on foot.
Poor tea and coffee during breakfast.
The hotel was ok for an overnight stay, nothing too much to expect. The staff were helpful.
The room next to the street is very noisy for a good sleep. Very small bathroom.
Location is good - within easy walking distance of Rome's main train station Termini. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is seriously overpriced for what it offers. It claims to be a four-star hotel, but deserves at best two-and-a-half stars. The hotel is quite run down, the rooms are not very clean, and the breakfast choice is basic to put it diplomatically. Breakfast room staff was almost hostile in response to the simplest of requests (such as for a tea spoon). The internet connection only worked in some places in the hotel (and did not work in the two rooms we stayed in (having changed once after we found the one we were originally given unacceptable)).
