Old walls, beams, location, beautiful little courtyard, within hotel
Location and character of hotel. Staff were very good also
Breakfast was okay
Wonderful view from our room. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Nice to go for a walk in the green space behind the property to the various towers within the town. Breakfast was fine.
A superb location, but if you arrive by bus, be prepared to walk about 600m uphill along cobbled streets! More of an adventure than an issue! Very friendly staff, clean rooms. Quirky layout. If you're on the third floor avoid the stairs. They're almost vertical. Use the lift! Breakfast, typically European and plentiful...plus even had muesli, fresh fruit and tea...lovely.
Some noise travelled from room to room at night, but not a big deal, people eventually went to sleep.
The staff were really friendly and the location was superb.
Had problems re-setting the safe and ended up not using it in the end.
We liked everything about this hotel. We were there for 4 nights and would have stayed longer if not for other travel plans. The breakfast was excellent. Be sure and ask about the well in the lobby. An interesting story about past practices.
It was great staying in side the walls. Surprisingly, it gets noisy at night (but we did keep our window open). The recommendations ofthe staff were very good and everyone was helpful.
in the heart of the city-perfect for early morning exploring, friendly, helpful staff, beautiful views from the room quaint old building restored nicely, comfortable place to be, lovely courtyard
top floor room a little small pillows too small (everywhere in Italy we found this)
near centre Friendly staff
Bad wifi connection Smoking smell in the room however they accepted the claim and offered a non--smoking one.
Great hotel in the heart of the old town. Well worth it.
Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Location difficult to improve. Nice breakfast outdoors at the patio.
Staff very helpful and welcoming the room was adequate very clean and comfortable... we only stayed 1 nite, but would stay again and thoroughly recommend
if you are not very mobile or struggle with steps you may find it hard
Very helpful counter staff Fantastic location ambience
Wifi average Car parking arrangements
helpful friendly staff, location
Location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, nice frescoes on walls
Bathroom small, bath tiny, taps dripped, awkward step into bathroom, no proper wardrobes or mirror, breakfast mediocre
The building was old, but our room was modernity remodeled and very clean. The room was small, but adequate since we were only sleeping there. The breakfast was very nice.
Can't think of a thing!
Attention, service and location. The staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms were ample and clean.
The village of San Gimignano is amazing! We took a whole day just to walk the little alleys, the parco (park), climbed the torre grosso for 360• views, explored the artisan shops. The hotel staff was helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations (although if you're willing to sit inside, you can pretty much get in anywhere). The breakfast was good and we enjoyed eating on the terrace patio.
The shower had a crazy design and leaked water all over the floor, our air conditioner didn't work, so we had to keep the window open, and the street noise was incredible from 6:00 A.M. until midnight.
Rooms were charming. The breakfast was very good. The staff very helpful and kind.
location was great, close to parking lot 3 & 4. You can drive up to the hotel, but we didn't bother. room was very nice, good breakfast. of course SanG is a great location to tour tuscany/chianti my car.
In town.enjoyed our time
Need directions to parking lot. We could have parked at closer location.
Updated modern bathrooms, lots of hot water , great air conditioning very clean and comfortable. Walking distance from beach and restaurants. Private free parking.
Partially obstructed views. Parking entrance was very steep and a dangerous climb.
Beautiful hotel, excellent facilities, very clean, very helpful, They have retained their basement which is 200 years old, one can go below to see it
The location in the town was very good but rooms lacked a good view
Room very dark and two steep steps up into the bathroom. Mini bar but no kettle and not a comfortable seat any where in the building.
