To get to room we had to go out of hotel down the street then down a dark ally, open locked door into dirty court yard, open another locked door into stair well, up flight of stairs, through another locked door into dark corridor then finally to room door.
Poor breakfast great location and terrible rooms
Excellent location old Venetian style rooms
First room shabby but upgraded at no extra cost when we requested
It is one block from the Cathedral and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele
The wifi only worked in the lobby and even then it did not work all the time.
Location, balconies, room decor
Bed was a little hard.
Location very near Piazza San Marco
Hotel needs a major renovation, as upper rooms are flooded during a heavy rain. Staff in general speaks only in Italian and is not responsive.
Our family loved our stay at Antico Panada. Our quad room was just gorgeous, the whole of Panada was gorgeous. The location was excellent. Breakfast was beautiful. Staff were easy to deal with. Price was really good.
Confortable and Loction
The third bed was a make shift and broke during the night wish wasn't good as an elderly person was sleeping on it and then one day we had know hot water all day.
Shower had no pressure and didn't hold the same temperature for longer than 30seconds, it rained one night and our bag got soaked from the leak in the roof, be prepared to hear the staff from the kitchen/bar putting out the bins and banging gates at 11pm, request a room in the "newer" part of the hotel as we were originally put into a room stuck out the back which was not nice, breakfast wasn't great.
Weak wifi only ok at the lobby area
It's proximity to most attractions, value for money, breakfast was adequate, wifi access.
Wifi only in the lobby, first room they gave us was in an alley away from the main hotel, but after negotiating they gave us a choice of 2 rooms in the main building! Which were a pleasant surprise!
close to tourist attractions
I liked the room but dd not linke one of the beds.. I went with my brother n asked for two beds.. One of them was like a sofa bed (single sofa bed) not really comfy.. Oh i think they could improve the breakfast ...
Great ambience, perfect location, well settled. Nice stuff, verry professional Hotel.
...just the coffee...
location. Front desk staff spoke English. Bellman very helpful.
small rooms, old furnishings, bedding and television. Extremely uncomfortable for family of four. Front desk staff not particularly accommodating. Wifi only available in lobby and front desk insisted on entering the password onto my device, but the next day a different staff member freely handed it out to guests. very strange!!!!
great location, friendly staff, room was lovely. very happy with my stay.
pillows were hard.
We were placed in a room located in another building which had nothing to do with the hotel. The photos in booking.com do not reflect the reality.
We had booked a TWIN bedded room and they told us it was a double. As I was holidaying with my son we had to turn it down, they then put us in an awful room on two levels, one bed was a camp bed, most uncomfortable. They found us a better room the next day, very disrupted start to the hol. Description of Hotel misleading and said Bath in all rooms - not so Breakfast room small & crowded..
I like location only
I don't like room location. no Wifi in room. Breakfast is not good enough. No tea and coffee supplies in the room. staff took city tax upon arrival and they didn't provide a receipt for it. They didn't provide an iron and iron table.
The hotel has a good value ratio (for venice), breakfast is included, 2 minutes to San Marco (literally this is very close). If not facing the street, you will get very good nights sleep.
To be honest the proximity to San Marco can be a blessing and a curse - all the food options in this direction are tourist spots, all shops are souvenier shops, and the area is packed with tourists. Venice is so small and compact that you can live in a quieter area easily and enjoy all the comforts. As to the hotel - questionable cleanliness (dust on inaccessible areas), bathtub is a hydromassage one and old, also does not look spotless clean, furniture dated. Bed is not real double bed but two beds with joint cover (although the crack is not noticeable). Also you may be living in a different wing that is not accessed via the main lobby, but is the next door down the Venetian street.
Location Facilities Clean room
wifi had problems
The location so close to St Marks square and yet hidden nicely away was great for its selection of restaurants and proximity to attractions and vaporetti.
Mosquitoes in the lobby area (probably not the hotels fault), and the fact that Wifi was only really good there.
