In the Cannaregio district of central Venice, Alloggi Santa Sofia features simply furnished rooms just 500 ft from the Grand Canal and the Cà d'Oro Vaporetto water bus stop.
Score from 760 reviews Very good
This elegant 12th-century building was once home to the Doge Marino Falier. Just 1000 ft from Rialto Bridge, it offers elegant rooms with antique furniture and original paintings.
Score from 434 reviews Excellent
Hotel At Leonard is situated in central Cannaregio district, in a typical, quiet Venetian alley 500 metres from Rialto Bridge.
Score from 188 reviews Very good
Located 700 metres from the Rialto Bridge, B&B Al Palazzetto offers elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. It is set in a Venetian building from the late 17th century.
Score from 125 reviews Excellent
Great location closer to Fondamente Nove vaporetto stop. It`s really easy to reach Murano, Burano or any part of island by vaporetto. High speed Wi-Fi. Very helpful staff.
Sounproof of the door in the room may be better. Sometimes in the morning you can hear sounds from the breakfast area.
A lovely quiet hotel , we felt totally at home, handy for local shops & only a short walk to the main attractions, , would stay there again if we visit venice again
-- Location, near Vaporetto ca d'oro and near Fondamente Nove to airport. -- peaceful street -- Breakfast ok -- Nice decoration -- Welcoming staff
-- Beds too old , not very confortable -- Big noises from upstairs, apparently an italian family flat ( not a part of the hotel) with an agitated baby !
Located away from the hustle & bustle of the tourest areas but easily walkable to the main attractions. Nice clean newly renovated rooms with A/C. Good breakfast. Excellent staff - very friendly and helpful.
Location away from the tourists, nice large rooms.
The hotel was clean and the room very cute with lovely furnishings. Hotel is not so poorly located. Bit of a walk from the nearest water bus station but it's not that far at all if you can find your way around the streets of Venice which can be a little tricky. Breakfast was very basic but it's not bad.
No elevator so we had to lift and carry our heavy bags up 3 flights of stairs. If you have lighter bags, this shouldn't be a problem. Asked to borrow an umbrella, they didn't have one. Asked for an iron, they didn't have one. Asked to use the bathroom after checking out, they said no.
Good location and away from the cruise ship crowds
Small, family run Comfortable, clean rooms Helpful staff - did bookings and gave very good recommendations Free private taxi to Murano In residential area with good local amenities, e.g. green grocers, supermarket
No large reception / communal lounge area No scenic views
Location; Decor, not too over the top
Location is great, 5 min walk to Rialto Bridge. Hotel is a great base from which to explore Venice. Excellent value for money
Great location and neighbourhood; five minutes from Rialto. We have been there four days and it is great have a spritz on fonddamente next to fish market when night is coming..
Depends which is your room. If you do not have luck to have one of 2 good ones will get a terrible for same ammount; there are not more than 8-9. breakfast poor for the price; for a 150 Eur per night they warned us not to have "things from the supermarket" in the room, rude!!! Very low level!!!
The room and view were nice.
Had to pay for internet and extra towels and facecloths. Staff were rude and not helpful. Location was terrible, even the locals didn't know where it was. Told that we couldn't eat in our room or common areas. Over priced and were treated like they were doing us the favor!
Nice and friendly staff. Very service minded. Beautiful room, comfortable room. great location in a calm area, still very close to the central parts of Venice. We will come again to this hotel.
The towels were not changed every day.
we enjoyed the small room with a little terrace overlooking some greenery. room small but comfortable and clean. all amenities very good. hospitality pleasant and very helpful. location good. between Rialto Bridge and Santa Lucia Station. 2 Vaporetta stops from Santa Lucia train station and 3 from Airport. then just a little walk...Apostoli Palce sent us directions which were very easy to follow. would definatley choose Apostoli Palace again.easy walk to Rialto and Station without ..
breakfast was a little skimpy but all fresh.continental
We stayed in this hotel for my birthday. This was not our first trip to Venice, but this was the first time we actually stayed there. We were not disappointed. First – the hotel is very easy to reach from the vapurato that we took from the airport. Andrea from the hotel staff sent us very detailed instructions. Thanks ! Second- the neighborhood is genuine. The hotel is located within a place where the "real Venetians" live, so there was a close grocery store, a fruit stool etc., - all this surrounded by small, nice bridges and lovely coffee places and restaurants. Yes, the "highlights" are not close, but – walking in Venice is one of the essences of staying there, the vapurato is very close, and we loved our staying in this neighborhood . Third- the hotel itself is charming. The staff ( we had mostly spoken to Giuseppe ) was very kind. I mentioned in one of my e- mails that it was my birthday, so we were immediately upgraded to a very nice, spacious room with a small terrace, surrounded with geranium plants). Giuseppe also helped us with our luggage without even asking. We had long, pleasant conversations with him, which really gave the feeling of staying with friends. Highly recommended !!!
Extremely clean - Close to SS Apostoli and Rialto - 15 mins to San Marco. 3 min to Fondamente Nove Pier for Murano, Burano and Islands. Many good restaurants andwine bars in the area. Personlised service from Giuseppe and Andrea - staff are so freindly. Decor fits 5 star Hotel. Will simply book this Hotel again on my next visit
When booking in the owner said he would like us to treat the hotel as our home in Venice . We did and had a very comfortable stay.
We arrived at 7.45 p.m. Hotel was locked with a notice telling us to ring the bell and if no reply phone before 8.00 p.m. We eventually got in with the help of a local lady who was walking her dog ! We never did find out what would have happened if we had arrived 15 mins later !!!
The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is located in a nice little alleyway. It is easy to walk to the Rialto bridge from there, and also very close to a boat stop to the airport San Marco. The room was very pretty. I would definitely recommend staying there.
The room is quite small and the room was too hot because we could not control the heating.
The location was very close to amenities and to the central parts of Venice. Staff was helpful and the size of the hotel meant it was very tranquil. Room was very nice too.
Lack of free WiFi
everything is excellent.
location is hard to find but close to everything.
Everything !!!! My travel was very good!
Clean, near to the water ferry from the airport, not too far from the Rialto bridge.
There are only a few tables for breakfast so we had to wait for a table one morning. They expect you to have the card you paid on when you check out, but ours had expired and we had a new one, but they were very reluctant to accept this and made us feel like we were fraudsters.
Breakfast was very good for Italia. We just liked the stay here. It was very silent at night, but the location was great. 15 minutes from the train station and the major Venice sites were close enough.
