A great immersion in a rinascimento fortress, the state of preservation is astonishing. It's the "only" thing to see, but a walk around the fortress can last a solid couple of hours, and you can walk back and forth the different defensive structure to try to understand their specific role in the city defense! I recommend a stay at the Hotel Ai Doggi, as per eating Al Gambero was a super friendly place!

Interesting city with special zoning. The city is an old military area and the map is like a star. We were pleased when we decided to come here. A pretty and friendly place to stay, with very friendly people and a good range of top value eating places and watering holes. Clise to Venice and with it’s own outlet village, I would highly recommend Palmanova - it’s a hidden gem.

Our ground floor room was really big, king bed, walk in closet, huge new bathroom with great modern shower and facilities. The welcoming staff spoke English fluently, told us about the town and went out of their way to be helpful and friendly! The hotel has easy free parking which is very unusual in an Italian old city center! The location on the central piazza next to the church is perfect! We had a road trip at the end of July and the city was not too busy. Car parking was easy by the road. There is a police station in the same building than the hotel so road parking is save. We had a one pleasant evening and night. Check in was easy and all was told clearly and effect way. All information was available.
