Tremezzo is a perfect gateway for a city escape. We drove around the entire lake and realized that Tremezzo’s view is indeed the most impeccable while the convenience is still there. Compare to other small towns alongside lake Como, Tremezzo is in connection with nearby towns that has more than enough stores for shopping, groceries, laundromat, banks, eatery, and views (Tremezzo too has sufficient stores that support a longer holidays). I do recommend driving here.

If you are on foot, this is perfect.
If you are on foot, this is perfect. If you are looking for a base to explore the area by car this is a disaster as there is no parking but then again I dont think there is anything in Lake Como that is not 10x more expensive that comes with free parking. You are better off going to Lake Garda or Maggiore

A beautiful place on the lake with bus and ferry stops and a lovely local park, ideal for picnics and swimming in the amazing lake. There are restaurants and bars nearby and the Villa Carlotta is well worth a visit. Tremezzo is a great base to explore Como.

Stunning landscape.
Stunning landscape. Absolutely beautiful, but I hated driving around Tremezzo and Lake Como, I would stick to the speed limits and locals would overtake on blind bends. Very stressful. Some excellent food, expensive but worth it, but a lot more occasions poor food overpriced. And my life! there were some very unkempt toilets even in expensive restaurants. Shocking.

Tremezzo is the perfect place to stay on Lake Como for those who want easy access (via ferry) to the most popular destinations, but want to be away from the crowds. The Lake Como Greenway path runs right through town and provides walking access to nearby towns along the west side of the lake including Lenno, where the wedding scene from the Star Wars prequel was filmed. There are several great restaurants in the area, ranging from fairly casual to fine dining.

Tremezzo is a tight little “village” with a beautiful “web” of old pedestrian streets connecting the area, dotted with very good restaurants, a nearby botanical garden and with easy access to various boat tours. In fact it is not a must to arrive be car to Tremezzo. Take a boat from Como and enjoy the many walking opportunities. May is perhaps the best time to visit the Como Lake due to its magnificent surroundings.
First impressions as we walked from the boat to the hotel, 10 minutes away, was how clean , tidy and beautifully presented the approach, the building and the gardens were. Once inside the same applied here, lovely staircase to the room which was spacious and a very large clean en-suite. Lovely views all round and central for so many other places to visit. The staff were welcoming and looked after us really well, the restaurant made really good, wholesome tasty meals. A really good family run caring business.
The views and location are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen italy. Our room view was more than I could have asked for. Giuseppe, our boat driver gave us a completely unforgettable experience and his personality and knowledge of the lake was second to none. The hotel design is a solid 20/10 and the breakfast options are very good. Alberto, the GM, did everything he could to ensure our stay was as smooth as possible and for that, we are extremely grateful for his hospitality. I can't wait to return!
Amazing views and really comfortable house: spacious rooms, beds, bathrooms, kitchen, etc. even air conditioning! Because there were high temperatures this August. Very good location to take the ferry to Belaggio or Varenna. Perfect place for a family or 2 couples.
Also, the very best is the attention of Matteo, the owner, really friendly and helpful and ready to explain to us how to make the most of the Lake. Totally recommended place. Thanks so much for everything Matteo!
All stuff was super nice and the service is good. I like most the cleanness because everyday they cleaned our room. The views from balcony were amazing. The location is amazing, you can walk nice restaurants and cafes from hotel. Rooms have smart tv. We got dinner at hotel's restaurant. Classic dinner set menu was 65 euros per person but I cannot say the food was amazing, I can say that the food was good and so enough. Minibar has so many things in it.
I really like the location. Just in front of the hotel is ferry boat station. The hotel is right in the center of Tremezzo, a lot of restaurants around. I like the staff of the hotel, extremly nice. Even though our room was not prepared when we came, they allowed us to put suit cases in reception, change clothes :) The breakfast/dinner terrace is amazing with amazing view. And breakfast was very delicious.
A great apartment with a view to die for - and super friendly hosts to top it off. Our hosts were very accomodating, gave us very helpful tips regarding boat travel, restaurants, ice cream, everything. The apartment was very clean, spacious and well stocked with appliances and everything you need. There is free parking nearby, which is a rarity at Como.
it was great location! easy to move around. you are between two ferries stop (Tremezzo & Villa Carlota) villa Carlota is the closest and had a cute little shop that sells coffee smoothies and snacks while you wait. casa Aquadulza is next to the beautiful Grand Tremezzo hotel. access with bags not easy but it made us laugh none stop.
Spacious apartment with lovely pool overlooking Lake Como. Perfect location, right on the water within walking distance of two ferry stops and right opposite a bus stop. Located in between Villa Carlotta and Grand Hotel Tremezzo, both great to visit! Apartment remained very cool despite being very hot outside!
amazing staff and vibes of the hotel are nice, quite and peaceful. the balcony with lake view is amazing at night and sunrise, the weather was cold but if you got the chance to swim in the pool its amazing. 10 minutes drive to menagio you can park there and enjoy your ferry trips.
Beautiful B&B with gorgeous rooms in restored house in the middle of Tremezzo. Our room was spacious with a queen bed and a big sofa bed for our two kids. The breakfast was delicious, with breads, croissants, eggs and even pancakes for the kids. We would stay here again any day.
Beautiful apartment with balcony and great view of the lake. The place is big, modern, clean and just a minute away from the bus stop and boat. Restaurants are right under the apartment. The bed is very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The view is wonderful.
The hotel is high on the hill from Tremezzo with a nice view on Lago di Como. The personnel were very friendly, caring and accomodating. The breakfast was very good, the staff made sure everything was always available. Nice pool and average size rooms.
Old world charm in five stars. Spectacular location on Lake Como facing Bellagio, which is a short Riva Taxi away. Wonderful facilities with numerous restaurants and a fun floating pool. Our room faced the water with an amazing view.
The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the garden was absolutely incredible! The room was very spacious, which is not always the case in Italy. The host, Marina, also gave a great list of restaurant recommendations.
Mario (the host) was nice, friendly and really helpful with … anything, really.
