Tremezzo was a great location to use as a base to enjoy the more famous towns nearby. Staying here meant that we were out of the hustle and bustle when we came back to the hotel. It was possible to find free parking near the ferry stop. In this area, when the parking spot lines are white--the parking is free. When they are blue--one must pay and often has a time limit.

Tremezzo is a perfect gateway for a city escape.
Tremezzo is a perfect gateway for a city escape. We drove around the entire lake and realized that Tremezzo’s view is indeed the most impeccable while the convenience is still there. Compare to other small towns alongside lake Como, Tremezzo is in connection with nearby towns that has more than enough stores for shopping, groceries, laundromat, banks, eatery, and views (Tremezzo too has sufficient stores that support a longer holidays). I do recommend driving here.

If you are on foot, this is perfect.
If you are on foot, this is perfect. If you are looking for a base to explore the area by car this is a disaster as there is no parking but then again I dont think there is anything in Lake Como that is not 10x more expensive that comes with free parking. You are better off going to Lake Garda or Maggiore

A beautiful place on the lake with bus and ferry stops and a lovely local park, ideal for picnics and swimming in the amazing lake. There are restaurants and bars nearby and the Villa Carlotta is well worth a visit. Tremezzo is a great base to explore Como.

Stunning landscape.
Stunning landscape. Absolutely beautiful, but I hated driving around Tremezzo and Lake Como, I would stick to the speed limits and locals would overtake on blind bends. Very stressful. Some excellent food, expensive but worth it, but a lot more occasions poor food overpriced. And my life! there were some very unkempt toilets even in expensive restaurants. Shocking.

Tremezzo is the perfect place to stay on Lake Como for those who want easy access (via ferry) to the most popular destinations, but want to be away from the crowds. The Lake Como Greenway path runs right through town and provides walking access to nearby towns along the west side of the lake including Lenno, where the wedding scene from the Star Wars prequel was filmed. There are several great restaurants in the area, ranging from fairly casual to fine dining.
We really liked this hotel! We booked it on the spur of the moment on our way through the area -looking for a place with free parking, an attached restaurant and included breakfast.
The view was beautiful. The dinner and breakfast were delicious (in fact the dinner was the best meal we had in 2 weeks in Europe) and the room was very comfortable.
While the hotel is a bit dated it was exceedingly well maintained - which is very rare these days!
We would happily refer this hotel to others!
Great location, facing the lake with the beautiful Grand Hotel Tremezzo next door, and adjacent to the gardens of Villa Carlotta. Charming apartment, with real character and an amazing view. We didn’t use the kitchen (we ate out) but it seemed well equipped. The bathroom was large and the washing machine was appreciated for all our laundry. The bed was super comfy too. Great that they had Netflix for the nights in too. We kept having those “pinch me” moments, staying at there. Wonderful stay.
Beautiful apartment, so much space, so clean and everything you could ever need.
The view is STUNNING and location couldn't be better. I would 100% recommend to friends and family, really worth a visit. The area is better than the main areas as quieter and fewer tourists around. Very relaxing.
Anna the host is so lovely, she really makes you feel at home and is so helpful. Our first time to Italy was special because of Anna. Thank you so much for a fantastic mini break to Lake Como.
The Host took her time to explain a lot of information on arrival
The location was breath taking and the short walks down to the lake pass some stunning Villas in a very peaceful neighbourhood. Only 10 mins walk from ferry/restaurants/shop.
The apartment was very spacious for Lake Como standards and was furnished in a period style which suited the property type,
The Wifi was decent and came in very handy for Netflix.
The Kitchen area was well equipped for cooking our own meals.
Great location in Tremezzo looking across the lake - perfect for walking to Villa Colletta and getting across to Belagio, as well as up and down the lake. The breakfast had a reasonable selection and good coffee. The bar was good. Staff were good. Free parking 5 mins walk away by Villa Colletta. Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend for location. We ate at local restaurants so cannot comment on food other than breakfast.
Walkable to Tremezzo, about 10 minutes, which was just right for me. Even closer to Lenno, and the little town of Azzano is just down the street if you want a quick coffee or groceries. I really enjoyed the location, and it was close to the lake, less than a 100m up a slight incline. Clean, more spacious than I expected, fantastic views, and lighting with plenty of windows.
- Great location for accessing Tremezzo, short walk to both the pier and Main Street of restaurants but quiet enough for little disturbances in the night.
- Huge apartment (2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with one being en-suite, kitchenette and two room living area) - this is great value for money for a group or family
- WiFi strong enough for work calls or streaming
This is a nice old villa overlooking the lake. The area is quiet, mainly residential with a couple of basic restaurants about 10 minutes walk away. The rooms of the hotel are lovely but the guest bar area wasn't very comfortable or inviting. Breakfast was basic and fine but there were no hot food options. The free parking was great and the boat pier is close by.
Absolutely nothing else like it. Exceeded all expectations, both facilities and staff. the hotel went above and beyond to make our first time stay absolutely perfect. If you are weary about staying in the area, don’t be, ferry to Bellagio for shopping and more food is only 4Euro a person and the hotel makes it so easy to navigate. 10/10
it was great location! easy to move around. you are between two ferries stop (Tremezzo & Villa Carlota) villa Carlota is the closest and had a cute little shop that sells coffee smoothies and snacks while you wait. casa Aquadulza is next to the beautiful Grand Tremezzo hotel. access with bags not easy but it made us laugh none stop.
The property is spacious in general. The enclosed garden is great for pets and has a small table for sitting outdoors.
The location is a 15-20 minute walk to the Tremezzo ferry and is close to several restaurants, a nice bakery and small supermarket. It is great to get lost in the area and walk through the narrow streets.
Amazing views of the lake and mountains. So relaxing in the evening having a glass of wine on the balcony enjoying the beautiful views... The manager Alberto was also fantastic! He gave us great suggestions for restaurants and helped us with bookings for activities. Can thoroughly recommend!
Outstanding location in the hills of Tremezzo overlooking Lake Como. Family-run business of some of the most delightful and professional hoteliers one will ever meet. They are all so accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable.
What an absolute gem Casa Aquadulza is. Our room was spacious, clean. Great shower. Excellent view from room no 1. Very comfy bed. Host was very friendly. Got us an iron after we asked. Eating in the restaurant is a must 👌🏻
View from the hotel is amazing, wonderful location to stay - beautiful cities Tremezzo and Menaggio not far away. Hosts were perfect, helped with recommendations where to eat and what to see. Suggest to stay here a lot!
spacious, clean and bright apartment. 2 bedrooms in the basement but perfect for us, nice and cool. The pool is great too. everything you need in the kitchen, and a washing machine, very handy with kids.
Clean, modern, quiet area, fully kitted kitchen, a washing machine, spacious with beautiful views, a balcony, parking, close to local restaurants, the supermarket and other attractions
