- very nice decorated rooms - spacious - nice small village - located at the lake (Lago Maggiore)
- sheet and blankets, we prefer duvet
Location and view
Lack of general relaxation space inside or outside for hotel guests, no iron, amount of rubbish at rear guest entrance.
priceless view, beautiful and cosy rooms. Very sweet staff. Definitely value for money!!
staff a little clueless about surrounding hiking trails. No insider tips, just off guides & maps. Restaurant not part of hotel, so no room service, breakfast meager for the price of 15Eur./pers. but then again you pay for the priceless view!
Comfortable and quiet. Pretty location
Location Hotel itself Good rooms, Nice balconies
Don't expect any help from the staff with your luggage. Not even if you are disabled or with little kids. They will just look at your struggle and mind their own business (whatever that may be, just eight rooms and not much work). A hotel unworthy... Our room had a bath but couldn't put the shower up so you have to hold it while taking a shower. Also the bath plug was missing.
The location and the (separate) restaurant staff were 1st class and very freindly. The general impession was excellent.
The reception was unmanned for two days.
The position is A1 - right over the Lake and very quiet. The restaurant staff were very helpful with morning cuppa's. ( no kettle in room)
Biggest problem was the temperamental water supply. Three mornings there was no water when I went to shower. It would come on (and off) during the day. At night, twice there was no water when we went to brush our teeth. We went down to register our complaints with the front desk only to find no one in attendance. We saw nobody at the desk during our entire stay, except for the morning of our check out. (And the night we checked in). The is no shower. There is only a hand held rose for the bath. The hotel is not cheap. I would expect glasses for the wine etc in the bar fridge, not plastic cups. There is no kettle in the room. Also no tourist info about ferries, buses etc. we got all our information from the Cannero Hotel, who were most helpful and confirmed that the water issue was the Arancioamaro hotel problem and not a Cannero town problem. (Like the hotel staff tried to tell us at check out)
Location, view, rooms, basically everything. Looking forward to coming back.
Bread selection for breakfast
The view The decoration of the room Very clean and quiet Free private parking
small boutique hotel. superb location.
Breakfast looking out over the lake
Poor view of lake from bedroom
The room was very spacious, clean and the décor was excellent. The view across the lake was a delight. The restaurant staff were pleasant and very helpful, the food, though reasonable, was not special.
From the picture of the hotel we mistakenly believed the balconies overhung the lake. In fact there is a road/promenade with trees between the hotel and the lake. Lake side dining is either side of the road a big disappointment to us. The Hotel and Restaurant run as separate entities and reception only operates for a few hours a day. No one appears to be interested in the guests or is forthcoming with information about the area. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at during our time at Como, Maggiore and Orta, there is a lot of good here but no flair.
Lovely spot.staffhelpful and pleasant, very nice accommodation.
Beds uncomfortable, too hard. The hours of reception made it a little difficult if assistance needed.
Stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed this hotel. A lovely room with plenty of space and a wrap round balcony overlooking the lake, breakfast was superb staff were great and the meals were very good. Would stay here again
A garden would be nice
An exceptional place. Take a room with lake view.
