Hotel ArcangeloVia Boezio, 15, Vaticano, 00192 Rome (Show map) Good, Score from 356 reviews“We loved the location, 5 mins walk to Castel St Angelo and Vatican. It had a wonderful roof terrace and our bedroom was decorated very nicely.”
Rachel,
Kanata
Hotel Arcangelo is in a quiet location just a few streets behind Castel Sant’Angelo. Enjoy aperitifs on the roof garden and take in great views of nearby Saint Peter’s Cathedral. Arcangelo’s completely restored building is decorated in an Art Nouveau style. Common areas are elegant and relaxing and rooms all come with a 22 or 24-inch LCD digital TV. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby. In the residential area close by Hotel Arcangelo you will find great shopping streets and numerous cafés and restaurants. The Vatican is a 10-minute walk away, as is Piazza Navona, across the river. Relax in the reading area or the bar on the roof garden. In the morning enjoy a rich sweet and savory buffet breakfast served in the breakfast room or right to your room. Hotel Arcangelo can arrange airport and station transportation services upon request. Courteous, helpful & smartly dressed staff. Excellent location to see the Vatican & most of Rome's sites. Does not have adequate parking facilities. It is either a very narrow alleyway that fits 4 smallish cars in a row (I.E. if the first one in wants to leave, 3 cars have to be moved out) or 2 parking spaces in the public road just outside the hotel itself.

It's location close to the Vatican and other parts of Rome can either be walked from here if you are reasonably fit or public transport which is near by. The hotel is in a quiet street away from the bussle of Rome so a good nights sleep. The roof terrace has a great view of the dome of St Peters especially at night. The room we had was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was self service with a good choice. Note: if you come from Fiumicino airport you can take the shuttle coach to the Piazza Cavour which is five minutes away from the hotel at a cost of 8 euro per person including luggage. The shuttle bus is called ' sit' its on the web. It leaves from the outside of terminal 3 at the airport. The staff at the desk are very straight faced and only really help you with advice if pushed which is a shame. That said it would not put me off staying at this hotel again.

The roof top terrace with its view of St. Peter's Basilica was amazing. We truly enjoyed wine on the terrace in the evening. Did not find the staff overly friendly they were definitely helpful and courteous but seemed quite stern. This might just be how people are in Rome though as we encountered this lack of friendliness multiple times over our 4 days there.

The hotel was just as described in reviews in fact better. The staff especially Senor Alfonzo were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the young lady serving was friendly and very attentive at refilling items. The roof garden was a real bonus. The hotel is in a great position for sightseeing and my friends and I would certainly like to return. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, well worth the money.

The location was excellent for all the top sightseeing attractions including The Vatican, Trevi fountain, Colosseum, shopping, dining, etc. All within walking distance of hotel, although some were long walks. The free breakfast was excellent. The lack of an English channel on the TV is a big drawback. The noisiness of the street made it somewhat hard to sleep. Also, the decor could use a facelift. It was clean enough but needed some new paint, wallpaper etc.

The Hotel staff was excellent. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and the location was unbelievable. .... I really don't have anything negative to say... I was a little disappointed with the wireless internet that was not working very well in the rooms... You had to go downstairs to the lobby area or dinning room area to get good reception.

I really enjoyed my stay in Arcangelo, the hotel is in a very good location & in a quite neighborhood, you can easily walk to any major attraction in Rome (10 min to Vatican Museum, 15 min to Navona Square), the rooms are spotless clean with the most amazing white towels & hotel staff is very helpful.

Very helpful regarding directions etc; Very helpful in answering any questions we would have;always someone a the desk no matter what time it was; always pleasent. The only suggestion would to be to use the breakfast facility for people to gather throughout the day for tea or coffee. As only one person's opinion...found mattress too hard.

Whole hotel has been decorated quite recently and is very clean. I had a nice single room on top floor which had a terrace outside with a couple of seats that was very nice. Breakfast was good and the roof terrace had nice views. Service was good. It was 10 minute walk to vatican and 5 minutes to metro. Supermarket close by too. Minor problem was that tv did not pick up any stations (digital receiver problem). I could have persevered and had it fixed but I was always out and about in Rome.

This is our third stay at this hotel. The location and the rate are the main reason we stay here. Quite location near the Vatican, and walking distance to Piazza Navona. Alfonso, at the front desk, is always helpful and accomodating.

This hotel has a convenient location near the Vatican, Castel St Angelo and the Tiber River. With a reservation we were able to park our car in front of the hotel (a major plus for a hotel in Rome). The room and WC area was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was very good. Terrace on roof has a great view and is a pleasant place for an after dinner drink. Air conditioning worked well....Rome is hot this time of year! Front desk staff were not rude but certainly did not appear to be happy or friendly. Hotel is an older building and could use some updating.
