The location of the hotel is perfect , everything is really close, and the staff were really helpful. The breakfast is quite good , the italian coffee is the best way to begin a day. They have a really poor internet connection , we suffered a lot with it because we couldn't make our flights checking. It is something that they really need to improve.

The location is very good. It is near the subway and to the Vatican state. Easy to walk to downtown. The bathroom was clean The bed was hard and stiff. Did not slept that well the first day but after long walks in Rome I could sleep anywhere. The breakfast was okey, not to bad but not good either.

I liked the position of the hotel: it was close to Vatican and, very important, the area was not crowded at all and very quiet in compassion with the majority of other locations in the city. Also it was closed to 2 very good restaurants. The Metro station is also close: 8 min walking. I didn't like the breakfast. I always had to ask for the food since it was always finished and the staff was not refilling it. Also, the room was cold since the air conditioned was not functioning properly for those big rooms. I think the hotel is overpriced for its conditions: old furniture, old bathrooms. I would give it 2 stars not 3. The only good thing about it was the position.

The location is perfect of course but I would recommend to spend a lil'bit more money and go somewhere else. Not much, the smell was really bad in the stairs and the breakfast was terrible, the bed was not comfortable and the heating was not good at all. I would recommend to spend a lil'bit more money and go somewhere else.

Location excellent. Staff were helpful including being able to leave bags behind reception. Room was comfy. Good view from our room. Bar was closed. Some breakfast items were cold such as fried eggs and bacon. But the most annoying thing was the shower. Fluctuated between cold and very hot. Also very poor water pressure. Not a problem if you don't want to wash.

Excellent location for visits to both banks of the Tiber. A very straightforward hotel, very comfortable, with agreeable and friendly reception staff and a generous buffet style breakfast. Very good value for money.

Friendly staff, a superb location close to 2 metro stops to get into the old town & only about a 15 minute walk along quiet side streets to get to the Vatican. The breakfast is superb, one of the best selections we've experienced during extensive European travels. The location, on a side street, a little away from the centre of town, provides some much needed peace & quiet away from the noisy craziness of Rome life. There are also some good restaurants in a 20 minute vicinity that you won't find in the guide books. Be brave & take time to explore the back streets most tourists don't bother with. The picture of the bar is misleading. There is not a bar in the hotel. The terrace has a vending machine where you may select drinks - alcoholic & non-alcoholic. It's a bit pricey so we bought our own in a local market & took that up to the room.

The Hotel Arcangelo is a quaint hotel close to several sites in Rome. The metro is not far away. Our room was pretty, very clean, and classic European. Luggage storage was a big plus since we were ready to see Rome and our room was not quite ready upon our early morning arrival. The desk clerk was helpful with directions and with suggesting a great dinner spot. Breakfast was substantial and included in the hotel price. A highlight for us was enjoying a glass of wine on the rooftop with a grand view of St. Peter's all lit up at night. We would definitely stay here again. We miss Rome already. Sheets were rough, but towels nice and fluffy. Air conditioning was not working the evening of our visit.

Hotel Arcangelo is a super destination for a short or extended stay in Rome. Our room was rather small, but the bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The location is good--within a 10-minute wallking distance to the Vatican and only 3 minutes to a great shopping street. The view from the 5th-floor terrace is wonderful--we really enjoyed seeing the dome of St. Peter's during the day or lit up at night-- lovely! The breakfast was the same each day, but still, it was very good. It included cereals, pastries, yogurt, eggs, and delicious bacon and cold meats and cheese. You can even squeeze your own orange juice! The staff was generally helpful--especially when we were having problems due to hurricane Sandy. We were also so thankful to have free parking for the three nights we were there. The carpet in our room could have been a little cleaner. The room was on the small side, but that is to be expected I suppose, in Rome.
