Hotel Archimede is halfway between near central Syracuse, Ortygia, and the archeological area. It offers free parking, free Wi-Fi and is just 165 ft from Syracuse Bus Station. The Archimede is one of Syracuse's most historic hotels. The staff can organize visits to Ortygia Island, Paolo Orsi Museum and archeological sites including the Teatro Greco and the Roman Amphitheater. With just 15 rooms, Archimede Hotel has an intimate atmosphere. All air conditioned, the rooms also feature satellite TV, a minibar and private bathroom. A buffet breakfast is served each morning and you will also find a relaxing reading room and bar. At the front desk, you can rent boats, cars and scooters. Tours around Sicily and to the neighboring islands can also be arranged. The beaches of Arenella and Fontane Bianche can be reached by bus in a few minutes. Ortygia is a 10 minute walk away. Very friendly and helpful staff gives this suitably decorated hotel a family feel. It provides value for money and is ideally situated being very near transport hubs and close to the old town. Staff provided us with excellent advice for restaurants. Their character laden parrot (Archimede) adds a nice touch. Parking spots on the road opposite are allocated to the hotel. Breakfast was a little basic compared to others we experienced in southern Italy.

The staff were helpful, friendly and spoke very good English (my Italian is somewhat limited). I was very appreciative that although I arrived at 10am the hotel was ready to let me use my room. There were some French people at the reception who were very critical of the hotel - totally unjustifiably in my opinion in the light of my subsequent experience (apparently they had turned up at the last minute and the hotel provided a room they wouldn't normally have used). My only criticism was that my room was next to a fairly busy road but as I would definitely go back I said that I would bok a room at the back next time.

The hotel is expectionally good value for money. The friendly staff offered us excellent advice regarding restaurants, sightseeing and assisted in finding accommodation at our next port of call. I can strongly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is situated about 20 minutes of the historical center on foot.By car 5 minutes but you can't park in the historical center. When you arrive at the hotel the receptionist shows you where to park your car.Steffano is very courtuous and friendly and you can ask him anything : a hair dryer, a map of the city (not every hotel can provide you with one), a fine restaurant, a place to go out etc...We ordered 2 glasses of wine and got some nice apricot cakes with it!

Datato con mobilio vecchio.muri delle camere sporchi da scarpe appoggiate di altri clienti...magari una passata di vernice non farebbe male.le camere sono gelide anche con il condizionatore che emana il valore.molto rumoroso poiche' le camere danno su una strada acciotolata quindi quando passano le macchine sembrano cingolati.la televisione in camera da cineteca anni 70 con monoscopio!!! La cosa che mi ha dato maggiormente fastidio e'stato il fatto che dopo aver pagato non mi e' stato rilasciato nessun scontrino o fattura fiscale!!!.vergognoso forse la guardia di finanza a siracusa non controlla?????

Está bien situado y puedes aparcar el coche justo enfrente porque tienen plazas reservadas. Es silenciosos, o por lo menos las habitaciones que dan al patio interior. La ducha es bastante pequeña y la habitación cuádruple no es exactamente la de la foto que se muestra.

Nous avons aimé la possibilité de parquer gratuitement devant l'hôtel durant les deux jours de notre présence. Ortigia ne se trouve qu'à 15 minutes à pied.Les chambres qui donnent sur l'arrière de l'hôtel sont assez calmes.

駅を出てすぐ。重たいスーツケースを持っていたので助かった。スタッフはフレンドリーです。部屋は広く清潔- 。 エレベータがなく、細い階段を上がらないと部屋へいけないので、スーツケース持参にはちょっと大変。

Properheidnvan de kamer Ontbijt: alleen crackers en een beetje jam. Broodje in plastic verpakking 2 maanden over de houdbaarheidsdatum. Gehorigheid van de kamer: de conversatien in de aangrenzende kamer was letterlijk te volgen.
