I loved my recent stay in Arco Antico in beautiful Firenze! Came for 3 days for business (Pitti) and this place was much more than I was expected! So central (literally 2 minutes walk from the SMN station), but also quiet. Clean, spacious and nicely decorated room with safebox, own set of keys to the building, basic, but tasty breakfast with great coffee from the machine. Owner- Matteo was helpful and welcoming, I will definitely use this place again. And one more plus- great and fast Wi-Fi needed for my work. Bravissimo!

No bad points really- well, maybe lift in the building is tiny, but at the same time it has its own, Italian charm. No prob at all!

Matteo was very friendly, and even gave me a free upgrade since he had a room free.

Breakfast starting at 8.30 is too late for a business traveller.

The hotel was a bit difficult to find but it was very close to the train station and convenient. The room was rather small but clean and comfortable.

    The air conditioner was noisy...

I stayed in the room no 2 which looked over to the Firenze Congress Center. The room was big enough, cozy, nicely decorated. The breakfast was good, with biscuits and croissants. Matteo was very helpful.

The bed was kind of squeeky, but still comfortable. Might be a problem with two people trying to sleep.

I liked that it was near the train station. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean upon arrival. I also appreciated the nice breakfast. :)

Nothing about the B&B, but the numbering system in Florence is confusing to anyone who has just arrived there. It would have been nice to know ahead of time what color plaque I was looking for when finding the place seeing as I walked with all my luggage up and down the street twice. lol.

I stayed in the single room. It was a relatively big room with a big bed. Matteo was super nice and helpful.

There was a lot of street noise. Uncomfortable spring bed.

This is a very good little little hotel in an excellent location to wander Florence. Marco could not be nicer or more helpful! The Breakfast is great, with coffee, tea, and a selection of pastries, fruit, toast, meats, and yogurts. Overall a very pleasant stay in Florence!

1 - Marco, the host, was great! He was friendly, helpful and organized :). 2 - The BnB is on the top floor of an apartment building 2 minutes away from the Florence S. M. Novella station (the main station) and 5 minutes away from the city's historic center. The building has a super small lift, but again, having a lift at all was a bless! 3 - Our room was large, very bright, nicely decorated, fully equipped, and the extra small step after the bathroom by the door gave the room a little homey cosy touch. The room was glittering clean with generous shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper and electrical sockets. The floor is wooden, and the wooden table, chair, bedside cabinets and wardrobe did not have the old moist wooden smell due to aging like we had at other places in Tuscany. 4 - Breakfast was full and great with home-baked cakes and delicious mortadella and salami for bread.

A few mosquitoes in the room. We think the net window had a small hole or gap through which some smart ones could sneak their ways in.
