The listing should make it clearer that this is a B&B, not a hotel.
Our twin bedroom was not nearly as nice as our friends' double bedroom.
Taormina isn't our sort of town – too touristy – but that's not the fault of the establlshment of course.
The reception isn't always attended, so arrangements have to be made in advance.
For just a few euros more (off season at least) you can get a hotel room elsewhere in the town with a view of Mount Etna.
The main feature is the charm and helpfulness of Rita, owner with her husband of the B&B. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile and eagerness to please. This was really exceptional. They carried our luggage (has to be carried up 80 steps!) and provided detailed tourist information, even gave our friends a lift to the bus station. She found us free parking (which might be a problem off-season – we visited in January).
Breakfast was very good for a B&B. Rita's husband is a chef and makes an excellent omelette. But, naturally, there would be more choice in a hotel buffet.
Very well located near the centre of town. Can easily walk everywhere.
The terrace was nice, though not so useful in chilly January! I'm sure it would be excellent in the other seasons.
Clean, and the water was hot. Wi-Fi good.
They are really trying to make people welcome!
