die ruhige Lage in der Altstadt. Ich konnte bei weit geöffnetem Fenster schlafen. Man ist nicht in einem anonymen Hotel, sondern man ist wirklich in Italien und hat trotzdem allen Komfort.

warum müssen Hotelzimmertüren immer so schlecht gedämmt sein? Man hat das Gefühl, der auf dem Gang gezogene Rollkoffer fährt durch das eigene Zimmer.

Ein modernes und elegantes Hotel in einem alten Palazzo ist schon eine tolle Kombination. Es ist stilvoll eingerichtet und macht den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Gasse am Rande der Altstadt und ist vom Bahnhof zu Fuß in etwa 10-15 Min. zu erreichen. Auch bis zum Dom, der im Zentrum liegt, sind es nur 10 Minuten. In der Nähe sind gute Speiselokale. Das Frühstück hat uns besonders gut gefallen, denn es ist für italienische Verhältnisse sehr reichhaltig. Die Obstkörbe sind jeden Morgen frisch gefüllt, Marmelade und Joghurt nicht in Plastik sondern in Gläsern. Das Haus ist eine Empfehlung wert. Müsste ich Sterne vergeben, dann wären es 5.

Das Arco Vecchio mitten in der Altstadt von Lecce ist eigentlich kein Bed and Breakfast, sondern ein kleines Hotel. Alles ist topmodern gestaltet, sauber und komfortabel. Frühstück ist gut. Das Arco Vecchio verfügt auch über eine eigene Garage gleich nebenan.

Die Anfahrt mit dem Auto in den verwinkelten Gassen von Lecce ist wirklich schwierig. Unbedingt vorher mit dem Hotel Kontakt aufnehmen, um sich danach zu erkundigen und eine Ankunftszeit zu vereinbaren (die Rezeption ist nicht durchgehend besetzt)! Die beste Anfahrt, vom Altstadtring kommend: Vom Viale Francesco Lo Re rechts in die Via Duca degli Abruzzi, an deren Ende rechts abbiegen (Via di Ussano / Via Benedetto Cairoli), an deren Ende wiederum rechts in die Via Guglielmo Paladini und man steht vor dem Hotel. Die Ausfahrt gestaltet sich noch abenteuerlicher - sich unbedingt vorher einen Plan geben lassen!

sehr schöne alte Stadt mit sehr viel jungem, unbeschwertem Leben. Viele nette Bars. Gute Restaurnts mit gutem Preis / Leistungsverhätnis. Unbedingt sehenswert.

It was very chic and extremely good value for money. The young girl on reception was extremely helpful with regards to our onward journey and recommendations for dinner. We liked it so much we tried to return a few days later but they were fully booked.

This is a small Hotel with modern interior in the old part of Lecce. Because it is located in the old part of the city the streets are small and narrow. Upon arrival we were greeted by Daniella the hostess who gave us a map of the city and went kindly over the details of our stay. Our room was very clean and decorated very modern.The bed was very comfortable. We used the hotel as a base to visit this beautiful baroque city of southern Italy. All the interesting historic areas were within walking distance of the hotel. We were given a parking card by Daniella so we could park in the street of the hotel. In the morning we had a nice continental breakfast where we were delighted to taste one of Lecce's own pastries, pasticiotto, as well as freshly squeezed orange juice. This hotel was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the old part of the city of Lecce.

This is a fabulously modern and comfortable hotel. The room, Chiara, was large with a large modern bathroom with 2 bathrooms and really nice bath products. It so contrasted with the view out of a big window on to the court hards and tops of the old buildings of Lecce. It is about 8 minutes from the train station and in the old part of Lecce. The bed was a comfortable double instead of two twins pushed together. The breakfast was good with some meat and cheese and really good yogurt. The cappuccino from a self-service machine was excellent and we were told we could have some anytime so if you wanted and early one (before 7:00) you could help yourself. The kind lady at the desk let us leave our luggage behind the desk and gave us a key after we checked out so we could walk around the town before catching a later train. I stayed at a inexpensive business hotel in Lecce before but I would stay in this hotel when I return.

Minor thing. The safe was not attached to anything. I could have put it in my suitcase as a souvenir so did not feel comfortable using it.

Really good value for the money. Almost top visitor’s score, that is in line with my opinion too. The breakfast was typical Italian but you will get a bit of "continental" options too. The hotel has its own parking garage (pay extra), I advice you to pre-book hence you are not allowed to park on the street nearby the hotel.

Compact but well designed and well located in the historic centre. Although small number of rooms, size and standard of finish very good, even as a boutique type. Staff very friendly and helpful considering they also need to organise and help clients with cars finding their way into the place. Amenites include logoed bathrobes and towels which give it a kick of class. Good on site parking and excellent wifi. The room rates are also relatively moderate

Depending on one's point of view, lack of telephone in room may be of hindrance to some. With today's use of mobile for both communicating and setting alarms , it is not really a vital necessity. The only real snag is if one wants to communicate with reception or another room, but as the hoetl is small, it is not such a big problem.

Absolutely to be recommended. Very nice breakfast including - which is not normally the case in Italy - also ham and cheese. The only drawback - it gets noisy on weekends outside (no bar noise, just all of the city seems to head to the historic centre on weekends), but it is inevitable if you want to stay on the old town. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. Strong wifi signal. Stayed here twice already and will come back.

only small point of caution was the difficulty in locating arco vecchio within the narrow city centre street system where satnav with car got very confused; but this was more than compensated by the excellent location when we found it

NB To booking.com: this review replaces the one erroneusly submitted on locanda alfieri, which please delete. This was a marvellous boutique hotel in the beautiful city of Lecce. Private parking is available, though drivers should be aware that the one-way system is a challenge. The hotel is beautifully equipped (the pictures have a cactus theme), the lady in chage couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, the breakfast was fine (Italian-style) and the location places it in the heart of the old city.

We liked it all. It was clean. It was modern and confortable. The satff was great. The beds and the tv set very good. Central situation.

Did not get the wifi password before the staff went home We had to leave early but could not get a breakfast parcel arranged
