Breakfast was quite good compared to other Italian hotels with bacon and eggs etc. Needs better coffee however. Lobby was in the process of being upgraded and looked quite modern. Lift was also quite new and of a reasonable size. Close to Termini and other key attractions. The main thing was that when we selected Ariston the pictures displayed on the booking.com website were not the same as our room. This is equivilant to false advertising because our room was nothing like the many photos displayed. Our room was tiny, with old furniture fixtures and fittings. It is obvious that the hotel was being renovated but the room we got must have been one of those that hadn't been fixed yet. We had to wait 3 days for our mini bar fridge to be fixed with me telling recepition each day it wasnt working. They did something to it and eventually it cooled but it still wasn't cold, it was just below room temp and it was on the coldest possible setting. The hot water was another problem. We had to have the hot water tap on for 5-7 minutes before the hot water would come out. At first we called up reception and they told us to wait because the hot water would eventually come out. Not my idea of a €150 per night room. Also no free wifi, after the other issues I wasn't game to pay to use their interest facilities.

We were welcome by friendly staff and were treated to refreshments while our room was prepared for an unscheduled early arrival. Great happy food. Great drinks from the bar. Outstanding bartender. Outstanding breakfast. Rooms were a not small for 4 people.

The room was contemporary, nicely done. Shower and bath were very comfortable. Bed mattress and pillows were excellent and provided the best sleep ever. Breakfast was good. They provided free WIFI at happy hour with the purchase of a drink. WIFI is available for an added cost which I did not partake. Very quiet room, small elevator as are most in Rome. Very close to Termini Station making it easy to get around. I would stay here again.

We were a little hesitant about this hotel from some of the reviews on Trip Advisor. However, it was exactly as advertised from the hotel web site and we had an excellent stay. It was economical, close enough to walk to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. 1 Block from the Train Station which was excellent as we were traveling by train. This hotel was also able to accomodate 4 guests in one room. I would highly recommond this hotel especially if you want a feel for the city. Great Location, Great Staff, Clean and Updated.

The hotel is very easy to reach by walk from the train station. The room is big and nice for three person. THe hotel has different designs and was very lovely. The staffs are very nice and friendly. The bathroom is great with a bath tub and very big. The beds are very comfy!! Breakfast is average but good. The lobby area is a little bit small and confusing, at first we can't find an elevator.

The breakfast lay out was great! The room although small, was nice and clean and fancy looking. What I did not like about Hotel Ariston in Rome is that they charge their guests state tax fees during check out, and insist on paying only in cash, although they charge your credit card for the nights you stay there. Was not sure what to make of the whole paying in cash when it came to state tax fee. I still dont understand the reason why guests like myself have to pay state tax. I mean I am just on vacation. I dont work in Rome, I dont have any property in Rome, so why do I need to pay state tax fees again? But it is not just Rome, some other hotels also charge the same fee, and I dont understand why. I also did not like the breakfast bag that was prepared for me one morning, when I went to spend the day in another city and didnt have time to stay for actual breakfast at the hotel. I think that Hotel Ariston and other hotels could do a better job in fixing up breakfast boxes or bags for their guests. It is always fruit, hard bread, a bottle of water, and yogurt. No orange juice, apple juice, bacon and egg sandwich, or other things that I would have preferred in the bag. Also, another thing I didnot like about Hotel Ariston in Rome or Milan, is that even if you cancel in advance, they still will charge your credit card for your stay, and view it as nonrefundable. That is not good at all. People should be able to change their mind about where they want to stay, and not have to worry about their credit card being charged as a result. I wanted to cancel my reservations but I was told that I would still be billed.

Breakfast is quite variety than other hotels I stayed in Italy, Venezia and Firenze. The hotel is very close to the main station in Rome, Termini, just 3-5 minutes walk. Some equipment in bathroom and bedroom is not worth for 4 stars. Wi-fi is not free.

Very modern and well appointed for a hotel in Europe at this price. It seems they have tried hard to modernize this hotel. Breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Great proximity to Termini station

Two minutes away from the central station and only 10 minutes away from the colosseo this was the perfect hotel for our purposes during our stay in rome. Only a few stops by metro to most of the sights and to some shopping malls this was the perfect base for our rome adventures. The staff at the reception were super friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very dark and had windows into the backyard with a view into the other rooms with views into the backally. Not really a big problem as we did not intend to spend a lot of the in the room but others might not like that

Location was good and staff very pleasant. I just had a room thhat looked into an external stair well with no natural light. My room made the stay a little unpleasant but the facilities were fine. Rooms looking over external stairwell with no natural light was not so nice.

I like the location, very near the railway station but totally quiet. The room was very comfortable. The T-Twenty bar was excellent as a place to relax in a friendly atmosphere. One of the best I have encountered. Breakfast choice was plentiful. You can leave luggage after check out if you are travelling later in the day. I would happily stay here again. The staff are efficient. No doubt about that. Clinically efficient. A little softening up would be nice.
