Many thanks to Manny and the Hotel Armin family for the best and most memorable time in the Dolomites and in Val Gardena. During the three days that we stayed with Hotel Armin, the staff went to great lengths to make sure that we felt home away from home. Upon check in, Manny at the front desk informed us of our complimentary double upgrade, so we were able to stay in a suite upstairs. The suite was thoughtfully decorated. I loved that they kept the natural woodbeams at the top. The pillows and bed were very comfortable.
Although we opted for half board on one night and full board on another night, we wished we had chosen full board for both nights (our biggest mistake on the trip!). We missed out on the local cuisine dinner on the night we arrived, as we had eaten a huge late lunch in Bolzano and were not hungry by dinner. The following evening, we were treated to an excellent 5 course dinner topped with a complimentary digestif. The recommended local wine, Lagrein, was delicious - it can only be described as butter in your mouth. We loved it so much that we asked if we could take another bottle home, and we are now saving it for a special dinner back here in the Bay Area.
I can only rave about the attention to detail and to the care that the staff showed us. Our first morning, we missed breakfast. On our way out through the lobby, Manny asked if we wanted any breakfast since he noticed that we didn't make it. He then checked the kitchen for some leftover breakfast croissants and homemade strudel baked by his father the night before (yum, that was the best I've ever had!!!). Then, he hand crafted our latte macchiatos and proceeded to tell us places for the best views and even offered to have some to-go sandwiches made for us.
We were so impressed with the service and love that Manny and the staff had shown us during our stay, and we wanted to commend Manny as an excellent asset to the Hotel.
