Art Hostel

Location very centralized, and easy to go anywhere in Naples from the Art Hostel.

It is very well located, very close to Dante and Montesanto stations and just a few meters away from via Toledo. The street where is located looks very creepy, but it is safe at night.

Hotel staff was terrible. The guy who was there during my stay enjoyed making racist jokes and tried to hug and kiss female guests before going to bed. He shared the same room as guests and snored as crazy. My last night I was not able to get into the hostel because he was feeling sick and took sleeping pills, and he did not hear the bell ringing. I waited outside until another guest opened me the door. I also had to share the room with a dog, which jumped from bed to bed...

The reception staff was excellent, the apartments are quiet so there is no noise during the name, excluding the noise from the street, but that is simply normal in Naples. Breakfast was OK in a restaurant nearby. Good transfer to the airport was arranged.

1. the directions and address are not correct, we ended up at another place and a gentleman had to take us to the right reception, it was about 500 metres carrying heavy bags on Naples streets, not a good thing to start 2. Apartments are not well maintained, one table had a broken leg, airconditionning was (and still is) not working, dripping water after a few minutes, Wifi not working on the room (only at the hall and had to be reset from the power every day otherwise it would not work at all) Elevator was not working for our floor In the stairs, one day, a light broke and pieces of the wall stayed on the floor for about 1 day, the light was still hanging just attached to the wires when we left During out 8 days stay the towels have been changed only once, and we only had 2 towels, then they were changed and we got a couple o small towels (thank God) We requested the AC repair and the change of the batteries of the TV set, but the AC fix did not last long (2 days only working fine, then started pooring water again) and the batteries have not been changed.

Good Location, helpful and cheerful staff, and in some sense it captures the true essence of Napoli.

The staffs are super friendly you can cook your food there and the air conditioning runs whenever you need.. Perfect for 40 degree outside

No lift.. It will be tough for eavy lugage

I rented a double room for single use. The room was very clean and the space was more than enough. The location was good as it was very easy to come and go during the day. The staff was very kind and I would come back again to stay there in the future.

The shower was a little bit small but besides this nothing was wrong with the room. The bathroom was very spacious and so was the room.

Friendly guy who runs the place, helped me out with tips and was generally helpful. The room was nice enough. Wifi in room worked

Very small room, nice, but small. No real common room to hang out in. The air con didnt work (aparantly broke a few days before we got there) and was so very very hot there. The area is so scary when you try to find it, its secure once you get in but was wondering what I had done when i rocked up. Turned out Naples isnt so bad, its daunting to begin with. Also wasnt told there was a fridge and kitchen, that would have been handy info.

Their breakfast is a very distant relative of anything that could be called 'breakfast' even by Italian standards (famously sad breakfasts).No need to even bother with it. There are plenty of snack bars around. You can hear your neighbours flashing toilets and taking showers. Unnecessary noise outside the room doors early in the morning.It's Napoli! It's kinda got to be noisy, right?

Very good location, near the metro station Dante and the Railway station Cavour. A few minutes walking from the port and the Centro Storico.

The location is close to the Archaeological Museum, within short range of the Spaccanapoli, funiculars, Spanish quarter and ferry terminals and just as importantly, away from the nasty area near the Central Station where most of the low- and mid-range hotels are. The double rooms are perfectly adequate for a short stay - comfortable, with good shower room and wifi. At €40 p/night the price is unbeatable.

the building is old and looks ugly from outside, no elevator (troublesome when bringing heavy luggage), a bit hard to find without GPS

No hot water for the four days we were there, apparently being on the top floor there is no water pressure. Very noisy, could hear the couple next door through the night!

Me and my husband stayed at Art hostel for about 10 nights. The location is calm and nice, near piazza Dante and the same named metro station. The stuff was very friendly - thank you once again :) The room was clean, bathroom - too. One little inconvinience was too slow flowing water in bath, but last days it was ok. In neighbourhood there are many not expensive shops, also supermarket, cozy restaurants. And amazing cheap bookshops if you read Italian. We had delicious breakfast at cafe about 100 meters from hostel. So, everything was perfect.

A little bit annoing was the door bell ringing at the night.

Staff cortese, disponibile per ogni necessità. Posizione comoda sia per i mezzi (metro a 2 minuti) che per raggiungere il lungomare a piedi (circa 20 minuti)

Unico difetto... niente ascensore

Posizione ottima... Ad un passo dal centro storico ed a 15 min. A piedi dalla via dello shopping. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Colazione un pò carente... Ho soggiornato in altri hotel a napoli e la varietà/quantità era decisamente migliore. L'ultimo giorno, a pagamento già effettuato, hanno provato a chiedermi soldi in più dicendo che le stanze avevano un prezzo maggiore di quello pattuito. Chiaramente non ho pagato nulla in più del dovuto però non è stata una richiesta tanto simpatica (anche se fatta con il sorriso).

staff molto gentile e disponibile, eccellente rapporto qualità prezzo, posizione a dir poco ottima (a 1 minuto a piedi da piazza dante). la prossima volta a Napoli torneró sicuramente qui. (Luca e Doriana)

Non ci è stato detto che non c'era ascensore, nonstante noi avessimo avvisato della presenza di un passeggino con bimbo. La saletta annessa alla cucina e destinata a sala da pranzo e intrattenimento è stata destinata, fin dal secondo giorno, a dormitorio con letti a castello. Pulizia dei servizi ottenuta parzialmente solo dopo varie richieste. Le perdite dal WC (!) erano continue e alle nostre segnalazioni sono seguiti solo minimi sforzi per tamponarle almeno in parte. Riscontrate molte difficoltà a rilasciare ricevuta; dopo ripetute richieste mi è stato dato un foglietto senza valore fiscale.

Hostel w starym neapolitańskim pałacu, hostel po generalnym remoncie, wyposażenie nowoczesne, pełne z zapleczem gospodarczo kuchennym. Prowadzący hostel o imieniu Abraham służy pełną pomocą we wszystkich sprawach. Dojście do hostelu utrudnione, z via Pessina trzeba wejść w zaułek Luperano. Ten zaułek to schody w dół. Trzeba uważać by nie przeoczyć (jest tablica informacyjna hostelu). Bardzo dobre położenie do zwiedzania Neapolu. Zatrzymam się tam jeszcze nie raz.

La persona que dirige la hostal (Ibrahim) es muy simpático y dispuesto a ayudar, es un verdadero personaje. El desayuno era en un lugar no muy distante de la hostal y nos parecía bastante bueno. La ubicación es buenísima (aunque la calle en la que se ubica puede dar la impresión de ser peligrosa, no es así).

Nuestro baño tenía una filtración, lo que lo mantenía constantemente mojado y con ruido de agua corriendo. Además, no hacían limpieza a la habitación durante la estadía.

We kregen 20 % korting voor het eten bij hun restaurant. Het vervoer naar het vliegveld werd geregeld door het hotel zelf, dit koste dan ook maar 15 Euro. Wanneer je schone handdoeken nodig had, was er een vriendelijke dame die dit voor je regelde. Op de kamers is air conditioning, die je echt nodig hebt, ook in oktober.

Art Hostel is eigenlijk een backpackers onderkomen, wij werden doorverwezen naar Lárte Dell"Ospitalita. We kregen een goedkope kamer, slechte bedden, een douche met toilet aangesloten op een sanibroyeur, die binnen 5 dagen totaal verstopt was. Na veel vijven en zessen werden we door een kokshulp, , omdat er totaal niemand bij de receptie aanwezig was, naar een andere kamer overgezet, die min of meer onze kleding en spullen mee oppakte en op het bed smeet, ze had er duidelijk de smoor in.
