Beautifully decorated hotel, we felt ourselves as staying in a museum. We got a really spacious room with high painted ceilings and a small balcony. Comfortable huge bed, central location, safe (although non-free) parking nearby. Galleria is in fact under construction, but we didn't feel it, since windows faced the yard. Entering Galleria on arrival late night and taking the old style elevator was a bit scary, but when we got to the 4th floor and entered the hotel then all doubts about booking wrong hotel passed away. One remark though to hotel staff - our shower switch didn't work properly, i.e. needs to be fixed. |

I liked the central location to many of the attraction and the convenience to transportation. There was a funicular that traveled straight to the Metro stop about 40 meters from the exit and the bus to the airport was right outside the hotel. I did not like that the hotel was inside the Galleria Umberto shopping court (construction on-going right now) and the elevator doesn't always work (4th floor - very tall floors). |

50% of the rooms look out on the Galeria which while lovely is very very noisy. Bring good earplugs. |

Very friendly staff. The Galleria itself is being renovated. This did not bother us as it does not effect the hotel too much but at night, there are a few shady characters on the path to the hotel -- an effect probably enhanced by the renovation. |

Hotel was right in the heart of everything from shopping, to food and tranportation. Manager at reception knew who I was and greeted me by name the moment I arrived. The rooms were a good size and beautifully decorated. The staff was warm and courteous. They made great recommendations on where to eat & shop! I would suggest this hotel to friends and family. Would definately stay there again! |

This is really one of the most pleasant hotels we stayed in, spacious rooms, clean, extremely friendly staff, centrally located and quite quiet for a hotel in the city centre. Even the 10 cent elevator is fun and charming when you are aware of it in advance. Entrance is in the Galleria and not that hard to find as presented in the reviews. Although the hotel staff will do everything to present you with a nice breakfast (cappuccino's, freshly squeezed orange juice, boiled or scrammbled eggs, etc), the bread selection and freshness could be a bit more adjusted to non-Italian guests. Other than that, we would not be able to mention anything with room for improvement. |

Nice furnature. During the day you are close to good shopping, but we would not go out at night. The bad neighborhood will keep you up all night not to mention the pipes banging in the wall all night. The shower also would not drain and would flood the bathroom floor and the bed was very hard. |

This hotel has a lot of character and its location is basically in the middle of everything. The best however is the hotel staff, they where just fantastic. The antique elevator should be avoided if you have claustrophobia. |

Location was good The noise - it is probably the worst sound-proofed hotel we have stayed in. Difficult to sleep due to noise from outside & other rooms. No shower (bath only). When it rained there were loud gurglings from the plumbing, and unsavoury smells from the drains. Hotel lift is very small and slow. Galleria itself is being renovated & covered in scaffolding. |

very nice large room and en suite. very good location. i would recommend this hotel. a tip for travellers who arrive in naples via the train station. an r2 bus will stop right outside the galleria. you can catch the bus by leaving the train station and heading in a straight line across the square until you see a statue of garabaldi, r2 leaves from there just that it can be tricky to find. once you are in the galleria/shopping centre you will find a doorway leading to the lift. |

Spacious rooms, high ceiling, nice room decorations, broad selection of tv channels, good location (though there is a lot of renovation going around now in the gallery, so expect to have construction "views" as close as in front of 2-3 meters from your window :-)) We were nicely surprised by room description when booking it. It even had jacuzzi!!! :-) However, when we arrived, our room appeared to be without it. When asked, the hotel staff told us that all rooms with jacuzzi are booked and noted that our room is still nice :-(. Not that we actually wanted jacuzzi so badly, and room indeed was good... Still, we didn't like how this was handled by hotel staff |

We were surprised that the hotel was in the middle of a major construction undertaking inside the Galleria Umberto and that the hotel was located on the fourth floor ..... the hotel was difficult to find and to load and unload your suitcases into the tiny elevator .... especially when an elderly lady was asking you for something in italian (later we found out it was .10e to access the elevator) |

This is a fantastic hotel. It is extremley clean, comfortable and is in a perfect location. The hotel staff are excellent. They are both welcoming and obliging and add a personal touch which is often missing in larger hotels. Finally the breakfast is top class!! I would highly recommend this hotel to other travellers. |

It was wonderful to be able to stay at a hotel situated in one of the landmarks of Napoli. The staff (Francesco, Manuel and Edith) could not have been more friendly welcoming and helpful. The hotel was that perfect blend of comfort and informality. The decor is classical and stylish and you have the feel of staying at the elegant private apartment of a sophisticated neapolitan. It was a little hard to find but there is tourist information office in the Galleria who can point straying guests in the right direction. If arriving during office hours make sure you have a 10 centime piece on you as you have to pay to go up in the lift (and it's not fun carrying suitcases up four floors). But the hotel's slight elusiveness is actually all part of its charm. |
