Score from 335 reviews Wonderful
The Royal Continental is right on Naples' seafront promenade, in a quiet neighborhood. It features a stunning rooftop pool, with panoramic views out over the Bay of Naples and Castel dell'Ovo.
Score from 1790 reviews Very good
Set on Via Chiaia, one of Naples' most elegant shopping streets, this elegant hotel is just 65 ft from Piazza del Plebiscito. Internet is free.
Score from 295 reviews Very good
The location is simply great and the hotel itself is very beautifully furnished. The paintings (reproductions and originals) are very good.
Breakfast was a bit below expectations, but still very good (fresh fruit juices would be great, one day we had one, the other not).
Location and very helpful staff
The staff were wonderful. Great location. Fantastic building. Spacious room. Coffee was superb.
Poor soundproofing between rooms meant that one could hear voices from normal conversations. Disappointing array of furniture & fittings & serious lack of storage. Did not offer 4 * facilities e,g, bar/restaurant. Breakfast buffet not 4 * standard & a bit hit and miss.
We were welcomed by Antonio, who showed us our giant room (marble floors & bath), and gave us great restaurant recommendations in the area. The hotel is very close to port Beverello, ferry point for Capri & Amalfi. The hotel is also along a great shopping street and a block from Piazza plebescito. Excellent location!
This hotel's location offers a unique experience which is enhanced by a very obliging and attentive staff.
Ideal Napoli location. Close to harbor, palace, old city, Ave. Toledo! Great view of the Galleria. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Noise from Galleria at night can be a little disturbing.
Fabulous hotel in this amazing location. We had a lovely room with a balcony . The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
All was perfect.
location, ideal for visiting Naples, easy walking to most local area's. Lovely and peaceful, good size room( we had a superior room), which had classic design and art work, tall ceilings which were painted, and marble floors. Great choice for breakfast in the morning.
The only issue was around the bathroom, some of the finish was not 4 star, and the shower lacked power and consistently hot.( the evening before, the shower was luck warm at it's best, but in them morning was hot.
Place in arcade was interesting, staff helpful and polite, spoke good English. Breakfast very good, view over arcade fascinating. Bed linen crisp cotton. Towels good.
We had the disabled room which was not workable for a disabled person. I am presuming this as I able bodied. Shower dribbled, high step into it, shower door blocked to open fully as too near sink. No safety handle once in. Door stiff.
The hotel had a good atmosphere and helpful, friendly staff, particularly Antonio, Francesco, Ambi and Vanna. Ideally situated for city, metro station, ferry terminus, restaurants and major places of interest.
Room 103 - poor outlook from balcony, decor dark and dingy and shower unit well below standard - avoid! Other rooms excellent.
The room was located near the ferry port and was a nice size. The breakfast was delicious.
I can't think of anything I did not like.
Hotel room was nice had nice furniture
was central but was very difficult to get to as taxis can't drive very close as it is in the Gallery. Booking.com stated the room was sound proof this was not the case could here everything going on outside the room. Breakfast was very poor one morning they told us at 7:30am they had run out of eggs. Hardly any food on our last stay. Staff didn't want us to use the toaster as they wanted to turn it off at 7:30am.. wouldn't stay there again but naples itself was a terrible place to visit.
Staff spoke very good English, understood our needs and advised us in an intelligent and informed way.
Bathroom tiles had brown marks in the grouting and limescale around the tap. NO HOT WATER FOR A SHOWER AFTER DINNER AND NO HOT WATER FOR US BEFORE BREAKFAST.
Location, decor and room
Excellent location! my room was with view on the gallery - very comfortable and clean. breakfast on the gallery balcony was very nice. Highly recommend to everyone
beautiful design, in an old building with an arch roof, connecting the shopping area of 4 buildings; very old and small elevator, you have to put in 10 cents coin to activate it. good location, close to the ferry, castle, opera house, shopping malls; room is comfortable and big, staff is friendly
every time you have to find a 10 cents coin to activate the elevator, a bit fun but sometimes troublesome
Hotel is in a superb setting. Central location. Clean and adequate breakfast.
The main building is being renovated and there is much scaffolding and a degree of noise from the ongoing work.
location staff quirky
bathroom hard bed smelt damp breakfast terrible
Hotel rooms very large, central, comfortable
Was not aware economy rooms were separate to main hotel but still within galleria, when we were told we were unsure how to react but experience was not negatively impacted
Located next to a pedestrian shopping zone on Via Toledo. Within walking distance to the marina and the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (about 15 minutes along Via Toledo, closed to traffic for about 1/3 of the walk). The staff was very friendly and used their computer to help us change our train tickets to Rome so we could spend a few more hours in Naples.
It's just 10 rooms located on the 4th floor. The lift/elevator to the 4th floor is weird. You have to put 10cents in a little box to get it going!!!! Really!!! Wouldn't stay there again.
impressive, original, nice! I would recommend to all
Loved the location to the port for access to ferries to Capri and Procida. also good access to via Toledo. excellent value for money.
Location. Artsy feel
Gal at breakfast making breakfast lady not friendly
Really centrally and in walking distance from everything
