Just 215 yards from Santa Maria Novella Station, Hotel Jolì is in a early 19th-century building in Florence’s center. A buffet breakfast with hot and cold food is served daily in the breakfast hall.
Score from 787 reviews Very good
Close location to train station and medieval city centre. The staff were all friendly, professional and helpful.
In contrast to the hotel lobby, the rooms were very basic (especially the bathroom). However, you have to be prepared to pay considerably more to stay in a western style hotel in Florence. There was a large school group also staying in the hotel, so it was very noisey at night.
convenience to train station
The receptionists were very helpful and kind. Great location. Quiet room.
The lack of internet connection in room
The hotel had a fab location with a number of great restaurants nearby. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was very clean!
We were a bit disappointed with the bed. Part of the bed seemed to be broken which meant a lot of uncomfortable sleeps. The towels were like tablecloths. Breakfast - a bit disappointing. There could be more variety with what the hotel offers.
The location... Maybe .. It is near to the main station
Absolutely the worst hotel we stayed in during our Italy vacation.. Very old and especially the bathroom is literally falling apart
staff are very friendly and helpful
breakfast not good
A bit noising. The breakfest could be better.
The bathroom was small and I was not used to the shower set up.
Near train station and Mercato Centrale. Helpful staff fluent in English and Spanish.
Wi-if only in small, very crowded lobby.
Mold in bathroom... A lot !!! TV did not work, but who goes to Italy to watch TV anyway.
poor facility funitures all broken A/C not working properly Fridge didn't work small shower area @ bath room Carpet smelly @ not clean
Location is very good close to main train station and duomo, museums and Arno river. I recommend
Excellent location, clean environment, friendly and knowledgeable staff and good facilities
Wifi available only on ground floor
Reception staff - all these 4 guys were nice and friendly, happy to help with anything.
Bathroom is just a mess... Instead of a shower there was just a hole in the wall :( Awful!
Location. Next to train station:]
They charge for everything. To hold your luggage 2£, to use internet 5£ for 1 day. Breakfast poor. Staff not helpful; I locked my keys inside the room, and the receptionist called someone to go and get the key for me and right in front of me they were saying how stupid I was for locking myself out. He assummed I could not understand ltalian.
Very centrally located, close to train station and within walking distance to historic centre. Ideal if travelling by train or book tours to neighbouring cities. Very friendly staff, especially Marco the receptionist who took good care of us and helped us book tours. WIFI available in hotel for free.
Very basic breakfast. Shower/toilet ensuite really small.
A good location.
The refrigerator broke because it was so old, it was quite inconvenient in hot summer, but receptionists lied that it was an electrical problem, and then they refused to switch the room. No shower booth, just only shower curtain. No wifi in my room.
Location is nice. very close to train station and also to most touristic places. Staff was very friendly and helpful The hotel was clean and had all the basic facilities required. Breakfast was good. Would definitely recommend and stay there if we return. Good pizzeria and gelateria right in front!
The location to the train station was ideal. The staff were friendly and helpful.
When given our room 506 it was outside the hotel with access only from a balcony entrance. If nobody knew you were out there the door giving access could be shut and there was no way to get into the hotel any other way, so if a fire had occured you would need to be lucky!! The room was leaking from the rain and the room was very run down. Broken tiles and taps coming off the walls. We asked for a change of room and they moved us to another room on the second floor. It was better but not by much. The room was cleaned and towels changed everyday but it was very run down. Not a nice smell when using the stairs or lift. To keep out the street noise you had to close both sets of windows! The curtains were falling of the rail. Both rooms were nothing like the pictures on the website. Talking of the web, the wifi only works in reception where only 5 people can sit
excellent location, friendly staff
cleanliness could be better, especially bathroom.
Air conditioning. Very good coffee. Good location for train station & sights.
Nice location, not far from Il Duomo and other touristic attractions. Breakfast was not rich but enough. Staff was nice and helpful. A number of supermarkets, train station Firenze S.M. Novella and restaurants are close to the hotel. Plus - there is an electric kettle in the room.
It was noisy early morning, banging doors, laughing guests... Bathroom is very original - several steps up, just curtain, wet toilet sink and floor but we always travel with slippers so it was not very problematic. But the view from the toilet window was fantastic! Such iron beds I had only in my Soviet childhood.
