The location was the only good advantage of this hotel. Actually the hotel is rated 3 stars but in all honesty should be on 1. The staff was nice.
I have booked this hotel for myself and my older parents. The rooms were horrible. The bathroom so small, the bathroom toilet was not secure and the shower was ridiculous. Basically a hole in the floor with a plastic curtains. Our a.c. unit was not working and it sound like a helicopter. We asked to change room which was just a bit larger. Still the a.c. was not working and no TV in all the rooms. No, sorry, TV ( a box from the 80) was there but not working in all the 2 booked rooms. I will not recommend this hotel.
Brilliant location! Staff friendly, value for money for the location from main station and 10 minute walk from all central attractions is worth the price.
Not a problem but suggestion: We Had Main Street room, shutters or thicker curtains would keep more of the artificial light out, although slept well due to all the walking and sightseeing!
The only thing I liked was it's proximity to the city center and fresh cappuccino on the breakfast
Poor breakfast. Uncomfortable bed, was leaning in the middle. The towels were pieces were not towels, seemed more like sheets . The room had no relation to the photos, was small and old.
An olde worlde feel to this place, a bit tired looking but still charming.Very helpful informative staff (we where travelling with bikes), excellent breakfast, good location, good value for money.
The overall appearance and presentation of hotel room &breakfast was shabby
Close location to train station and medieval city centre. The staff were all friendly, professional and helpful.
In contrast to the hotel lobby, the rooms were very basic (especially the bathroom). However, you have to be prepared to pay considerably more to stay in a western style hotel in Florence. There was a large school group also staying in the hotel, so it was very noisey at night.
We cannot express any opinion about the services of the hotel, because when we arrived it turned out that the hotel (prepaid in full several months in advance!) was overbooked. We were dispatched by taxi to a decrepit hotel (more like a hostel) several kilometers out of center, without any partial refund. What bothered us was that the lady in the Ascot reception lied about the location of the replacement hotel and even marked on the map its fictitious location in the center.
good personal at reception
small wc and bath tv doesnt work bad breakfast
Close to the Train station (2-3 mins walk)
Room was so tiny that we couldn't lay the suitcases down - there was only 18" on either side of the bed. Shower was not existent - just a broken shower rail that went round the sink. My knees hit the wall when I was on the toilet. Air conditioning hardly worked - the hotel room was too hot.
convenience to train station
Location was good, very close to train station and sights. Staff was very nice
I believed this was a no smoking hotel, but it didn't seem to bother the staff that folks were smoking on the balcony. Couldn't have the doors open. Showers were not good, breakfast pastries were ok, but skip the protein. Ugh.
The receptionists were very helpful and kind. Great location. Quiet room.
Nothing. This property is the shame in the Booking.com list. The pictures doesnt match with the reality.
Room, bathroom, breakfast atc. = level of hostel.
The lack of internet connection in room
The hotel had a fab location with a number of great restaurants nearby. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was very clean!
We were a bit disappointed with the bed. Part of the bed seemed to be broken which meant a lot of uncomfortable sleeps. The towels were like tablecloths. Breakfast - a bit disappointing. There could be more variety with what the hotel offers.
The location... Maybe .. It is near to the main station
Absolutely the worst hotel we stayed in during our Italy vacation.. Very old and especially the bathroom is literally falling apart
staff are very friendly and helpful
breakfast not good
A bit noising. The breakfest could be better.
The bathroom was small and I was not used to the shower set up.
Near train station and Mercato Centrale. Helpful staff fluent in English and Spanish.
Wi-if only in small, very crowded lobby.
Mold in bathroom... A lot !!! TV did not work, but who goes to Italy to watch TV anyway.
poor facility funitures all broken A/C not working properly Fridge didn't work small shower area @ bath room Carpet smelly @ not clean
Location is very good close to main train station and duomo, museums and Arno river. I recommend
Excellent location, clean environment, friendly and knowledgeable staff and good facilities
