Astor Hotel  

The room was very good for the price! I liked the stay. However, the shower space was insufficient and I did not quite have a 100% shower. I would have loved more space there.

As mentioned above.. Shower area is in sufficient. Browsing inside the rooms was bad. Often we would connect at 2 Mbps and stuff. Connection time out was the order. But who cares? I want to be away from Internet and therefore it is still fine with me.

Very friendly and helpful staff, spacious and confortable rooms. Great food from the restaurant. A very relaxed atmosphere, would deffinatley stay there again.

Hard to understand why we had to cross the road to a cafe for breakfast when they have a fully functioning kitchen at the hotel, it wasnt a problem as such, just a curiosity.

Clean spacious room with welcome air conditioning and huge comfortable bed and outside balcony. Free car parking outside the hotel and n° 11 bus stop 20m from front door to take you into Bologna centre.

The area in which the hotel is situated is not particularily nice but this is reflected in the room price.

quietness and cleanliness

The room was large (for European city standards) with space and an extra bed. The hotel seems to have been modernized an d there were lots of large mirrors, fully equipped bathroom, electric outside shutters, plenty of lights. There was an old fashioned solid safe deposit box set in the wall. The location is about 1.5km from the center, so a hike, or a bus or taxi, but not too inconvenient. It's also about a 20 minute walk from the Feria. So close enough to be convenient, if you don't mind a bit of a walk.

Didn't try the breakfast as it wasn't included. The rate changes a lot. If you get it at a good rate it's o.k. But sometimes the rate means you can get something better nearer the center. For some reason the room modernization specifically excluded the curtains and the bed cover. A duvet would be preferable. Not right in the center, and not much in the way of bars, restaurants, nightlife in the area of the hotel.

The staff was polite and helpful, the hotel was clean and the breakfast was good.

When we got to our room, there was a used soap sachet and a mini-bottle of shampoo still in the shower. They stayed there throughout our stay - the maid never removed them, probably because she never noticed them behind the shower door! Moreover the TV was a nightmare to fix and had limited channels - all of which were in Italian. Our holiday also started off on a bad note as we followed instructions on how to get to the hotel given to us by the hotel staff after an email - and we got lost.

Really fair staff. Room well furbished, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast.

It is a very nice hotel especialy for the price you pay the breakfast was very good the rooms are nice and not too small its only 15 min by walk from Bologna Centrale train station

its a litlle bit far from the city centre if you try to get there with walking

Room was nice , television had good choice of programs , location was perfect for trips to the city

Poor wifi connectivity although it was free of charge , we had to go to an internet cafe around the corner to navigate through internet.The breakfast wasn't good .

My room was very clean and comfortable. The location was handy for me, situated near enough to walk to both the town centre and the fair.

My shower was not working well - the water was little more than dripping out of the shower head and the water was luke warm at best and once cold. No hotel bar.

Good price,20 minutes from center,free parking and internet in lobby(I did not catch WiFi in third floor).

We were in two rooms - one was poor (zero floor,but we came unexpected one day before,so it was in emergency),second was excellent (third floor,with balcony) for three stars.

Sono rimasto soddisfatto, e vorrei augurarvi un Buon Natale e felice Anno Nuoco a tutto lo staff e alla Sig.ra Carla, che è una persona molto gentile e accogliente vi ringrazio tantissimo. Vorrei che fosse recapitato a questo hotel, grazie.
