Hotel S'Astore  

A nice hillside setting and view from the property. On the surface, it all looked nice - the pool, the poolside lounging area, the rooms around the pool, the garden, the restaurant etc. The parking was convenient.The receptionist was very smiley and accommodating when we asked to change room after the first night. Probably because she shouldn't have put us in the smallest, most remote room going, with a faulty fridge, and over a noisy kitchen (they were still banging around at 2am) in the first place when there were more hospitable rooms available...

The room that we were moved to had the noisiest air conditioning imaginable which was leaking. We had dinner in the restaurant on the 1st night as there's nothing within walking distance. Despite the lovely view, it lacked atmosphere and the food was very basic for the price. Our bill came close to 90Euro and we only had one glass of wine. I believe we were overcharged for the 'seafood salad' starter (20Euro for 1 small dish including some calamari, some mussels, and a load of shells for decoration - no actual 'salad' included) but none of the staff had good English so our complaint would've been lost in translation; we just put it down to experience. The pool was dirty - a really cloudy green at night, and you could see all the scum around the edges during the day. There was a sign at breakfast which read 'Only one coffee per person', which didn't really lend itself to a nice vibe. The minibar was rather expensive. Then again, the area itself was (there are places in Porto Rotundo - a ten minute drive away - that charge 6Euro for a Coke.) The vista of the rooms overlooking the pool looked lovely, but were marred by the fact that a load of new rooms were being built so we were essentially in the middle of a building site.

Very accommodating staff, small family run hotel. Arranged sail boat booking for us that was fantastic.

Due to our lack of understanding of half-board, we ended up spending and extraordinary amount of money for dinner. The meal was delicious, but much more expensive than we anticipated. The half-board menu should not have been presented as an option if we were not able to take advantage.

bellissima struttura, a poco prezzo in settembre, ci ritornerò perchè consente, tra l 'altro di raggiungere facilmente tutte le spiaggie della costa smeralda,

la iacuzzi non era praticabile

Abbiamo soggiornato per 4 notti dopo tanta pioggia, l'acqua dei bagni usciva di color marrone penso sia dovuto alle cisterne sotto terra, la vasca idromassaggio aveva l'acqua sporca , hotel con 30 camere quindi circa 50/60 ospiti aveva solo 8 sdraie e la spiaggia più vicina e a 3 km impossibile a piedi, hotel ancora in fase di finitura di construzione, quindi lavori in corso con rumori di tutto genere, martelli trapani etc...

La camera matrimoniale un po' piccola

La posizione e' bellissima e spettacolare. Le aree comuni sono curate ed eleganti. Le camere che mi sono state date erano recentissime, curate nei particolari ed eleganti. Inoltre mi é stata data una junior suite nonostante avessi prenotato una camera standard, visto che l'hotel non era completo.

La colazione e' di buona qualita', ma l'assortimento a disposizione un po' scarso. Inoltre un'eventuale seconda bevanda calda é a pagamento.

Posizione splendida con vista incantevole anche dalla stanza. Confortevolissima la camera.

La posizione, la vista mozzafiato, la stanza spaziosa e molto bella ( il nuovo si sposa benissimo cl vecchio) con vista sulla piscina e sul mare :) Il ristorante dove abbiamo potuto gustare un delizioso maialino sardo.

La doccia dava problemi, l'acqua nn si scaldava. L'abbiamo fatto presente alla receptionist, la quale ha subito provveduto a risolvere il problema. Poi, ci hanno offerto un bicchiere di vino per scusarsi. Attenzione al conto se mangiate al ristorante: tendono ad aggiungere cose che nn avete preso ;), ricontrollate bene, quindi!

De lokatie is fantastisch en biedt ook voldoende mogelijkheden ( met huurauto ) om onderdelen van het eiland te verkennen. Het hotel is kleinschalig en mooi verzorgd opgezet.

Het personeel spreekt niet allemaal goed Engels en je merkt dat ze nog niet goed zijn ingesteld op internationale gasten. Het ontbijt is wat karig maar goed te doen. Qua service instelling kunnen ze nog een slag slaan maar al met al wel een aanrader.

Vivamente consigliato, personale molto gentile, vista spettacolare, ottimi servizi (piscina, idromassaggio, giardino attrezzato, ecc).

L'accueil de la patronne et du personnel bien sympatique, le cadre panoramique, beau jardin bien entretenu, endroit très reposant à 5 minutes de Porto Rotondo.

Pour la réservation de cet Hôtel, je me suis basé sur les commentaires et les étoiles, malheureusement cet Hôtel n'etait pas la hauteur de mes attentes. Tout d'abord la chambre familliale est d'une autre époque, mobilier vétuste, climatisation bruyante, pas de coffre, le mini-bar un simple frigo installé dans la salle de bain. Concernant la salle de bain même constat, douche très petite, manque d'éclairage. Belle piscine avec des chaises modernes mais aucun parasol à 34 deg. pas possible de rester allongé bien longtemps. Rapport qualité-prix exagéré et de mon avis pas un 4 étoiles.

Ambient molt acollidor i relaxant. Habitació espaiosa i decorada amb gust. Instal·lacions ideals per a relaxar-se uns dies.

L'esmorzar una mica just si ho comparem amb l'entorn de l'hotel.

Cet hotel-restaurant est bien situé au calme sur une colline verdoyante, à 5 minutes de voiture du centre de Porto-Rotondo et des plages. Notre chambre (4 personnes) était spacieuse et bien aménagée, équipée d'une bonne literie, un frigo (bien rempli mais pouvant être utilisé avec ses propres vivres) et une bonne climatisation. La piscine (rare dans le coin) est appréciable surtout lors de forte chaleur et est accessible uniquement aux résidents. Les abords sont remarquables (jardins, mobiliers) et un kiosque aménagé de fauteuils confortables complète l'ensemble. Le petit déjeuner (correct mais sans excès - 1 boisson chaude par personne) se prend dans le restaurant terrasse avec une vue imprenable sur les collines et le port. Le parking est gratuit, vaste et certaines places sont même à l'ombre.

Notre terrasse (chambre 8) était vraiment indigne: la plupart des autres chambres disposaient de magnifiques vues et sont plus spacieuses (certaines sont même équipées de chaises longues) Au vu de la fréquentation par des non résidents, il ne fait aucun doute que le restaurant soit excellent (menus Sardes) mais est vraiment hors budget et la carte est inadaptée pour une famille avec jeunes enfants (pas de plats "simple" ou de type snack)

Bellissimo hotel di gestione famigliare , molto gentili e cordiali , a pochi km dalle spiagge di porto rotondo , e golfo aranci.Veramente un bellissimo stile alla Sarda , il mangiare ottimo , apparte il maialetto :-) che non era uno dei migliori !!! In poche parole Hotel perfetto per trascorere un paio di giorni in tranquilita !

Il maialino arrosto non era buono , la colazione un po misera :-)

Hotel a conduzione familiare. Ricca colazione, da gustare sulla terrazza panoramica. Sconsiglio l'uso della vasca idromassaggio: acqua decisamente sporca. Per il resto tutto molto bello!

Peaceful location with an amazing view. A comfy bed and smart room. A fairly varied continental breakfast.

Just felt the notice regarding payment for any additional hot drinks at breakfast seemed rather harsh.

Bra rum och badrum. Stor altan/terass med solsängar till vårt rum. Ok sängar. Tyst och lugnt hotell. Mörkt och skönt på rummet. Rent och fräscht. Skönt och lugnt poolområde och mysig trädgård.

Jättedålig frukost. De skriver att det är frukostbuffé, men det är snarare kontinental frukost. Tråkigt när det står en massa lappar om förmaningar vid frukosten. Wifi fungerade inte alltid. Man ska vara medveten om att man måste ha bil för hotellet ligger för långt från stan för att gå, men inget problem för oss som hade bil... Inget för familjer med småbarn, vilket bara är skönt för oss utan småbarn.
