Hotel Astoria

This was a cheap little hotel with very little in the way of frills, but considering it was only 100 yards from St Mark's Square, was good value or money.

The hotel was close enough to shopping areas and restaurants, but far enough away from the crowds and noise. For the most part, it was comfortable and a great place to crash

I did not like that there was no air conditioning... it is hot in Venice in teh summer and it was quite uncomfortable at night with only the loud fan and the hope that it would cool down at night. I also did not like that the water from my shower flooded the entire bathroom. The water did not drain from the shower drain and I thought that house keeping would notice and take care of it, but again, there was no housekeeping during my stay. A packet of shampoo for two days is just not enough and to not have it replaced because there is no housekeeping is not good. For the most part, I did enjoy the hotel and it was a nice stay. I really only used the room for sleeping and freshening up, so it was only decent. PS-loose stairs carpet

The location - it's 3min walk from St Mark's Square.

The staff could have been more helpful. I slept on a folding bed in the 4-persons room: it was not very comfortable. The room looked far worse than the ones on the pictures. They put men and women together, so you never know with whom you're going to share the room. Was OK with me but you have to be aware of it. We had just one key to the room, and the door was damaged. And the breakfast costs 5 euro - you basically get some cereals and a tea or coffee, nothing more. It's better to eat outside. I could go there again, but the description is not accurate.

Nähe zum Markusplatz ist sehr gut, Hotel aber sehr abgewohnt, doch sauber.Ist für Venedig ganz okay!

Service beim Frühstück, es gab kein Geschirr.

Hotelの部屋がシャワー付で以来したがBath Roomが別でいちいちKEYをかけていかなければならなかった。それなら　安い共同シャワー部屋にすればよかった。土地がら　ロケーションがいいとは言え　９０ユーロの部屋だったが　他のところの５０ユーロぐらいの部屋とグレードは同じで割高感があった。

Una camera doppia al prezzo di una singola. Due finestre nella camera. Bagno confortevole (con bidet e doccia larga, anche se con un po' di segni di umidità)

Come molti hanno scritto, la colazione è piuttosto povera (avendo già letto le altre opinioni non mi aspettavo gran ché, quindi non sono rimasto particolarmente deluso). Però una mattina che sono arrivato (e c'erano ancora 20 min per poter fare colazione), vedendo che non c'era piu pane, ho chiesto alla cameriera se fosse finito l'orario per la colazione e questa mi ha risposto sgarbatamente.

Die super zentrale Lage (direkt hinterm Markusplatz, auf dem Weg zur Rialto-Brücke); kleine Zimmer, aber wenn man eh den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist, reicht es voll aus; sehr nettes Personal; unser Tipp: auf jeden Fall mit Frühstück buchen, ist zwar nicht das beste, aber für einen ersten Start in den Tag reicht es (und es ist billiger als sich alles auf den Straßen kaufen zu müssen)

leider keine Klimaanlage, aber mit offenem Fenster und Ventilator konnte man super schlafen
