worst room condition, poor services.

The staff are very good,polite and helpful. The location in theory is good, very near San Marcos. However, it is noisy and thr bells of the piazza keep you awake at night Breakfast is good!!

Badly kept. Needs a bit of investment. Plugs, lightbulbs, taps in bathroom need replacement. Bed was clean but not under the bed!! Bathroom was mouldy and the fan extrctor did not work properly

Excellent location where is 2" to San Marco Sqare and very close to waterbus station. It's ok if only stay day or two in this hotel, However if you do not mind to spend 20 or 30 dollars more, you can find much nicer hotel at the same area.

San Marco is a nice island central to Venice and close to the costal sites. About a 15 minute walk from the main train station.

Everything about Hotel Astoria speaks outdated. The rooms are tiny and the furniture creaky. Half the things in my tiny room (even small for Italy standards) were broken and only one outlet worked. The bed was small, thin, and loud if you moved even a bit. You would think since they have shared bathrooms they would be nice or at least clean, but they were pretty run down. The toilet's handle was broken off so you couldnt flush it. The showerhead had no holder so you had to use one hand to hold it up - like seriously? For a shower that multiple people will be using per day you can put in a $5 handle? DONT stay here. Just stay at a hostel, at the astoria you get the accommodation of a hostel with the price of a budget hotel. Staff didnt know the area at all and couldnt provide directions. Breakfast is very limited. Their "Orange Juice" machine dispensed something closer to a alkaseltzer-mixture then anything I would ever call juice. The only good thing about the food were individual packets of Nutella.

Very good location, close to St Mark's square and water bus stops.

The hotel room was basic, the bathroom was not very nice at all however the location of the hotel was convenient.

Very good location. Very easy to find from Sr.marco Plaza. I think it is important coz you got lost very easy in Venice and you can use it to find the place to live.

For me the room is a bit dark, i didnt like it just coz it make me a little bit unset since I travel alone, I feel quite sad in the room...so might be better if they working on it.

I liked very much the staff of this hotel, they were very gracious and helpful. The room was very clean and we had nice beds and a convenient enough shower. The Hotel is very close to the most important place of San Marco. Mi e' piaciuto moltissimo il personale di servizio di quest'hotel, loro erano molto bravi, cortesi e pronti di aiutarmi in ogni attimo e momento. La camera e' stata sempre pulita e avevamo i letti belli e la doccia abbastanza conveniente. L'Hotel e' vicinissimo alla piazza piu' importante di San Marco.

It was cold enough in the room at night. Di notte faceva abbastanza freddo nella camera.

The location was the only thing positive about the hotel

The rooms were dirty and everything was very old in the rooms. There was mold on the shower curtain and it just didn't have a clean feel to it.

Staff are helpful. Value for money.

Extremely convenient rates , tactical and unbeatable location that makes all Venice interesting spots (including amazing S.Mark sq. )A few steps from the establishment and reachable in no time.Quiet and safe position away from noisy crowds and masses of tourists. Shopping and food stores nearby the property or max 5 mins walk ( Rialto Bridge and the market ). Kind , attentive and helpful staff. Rooms a bit small , but clean and comfy. Breakfast pretty basic but indeed enjoyable considering that's an open buffet.

No elevator ( I got help from the staff with my luggages anyway ) , rooms are a bit small and there's only italian TV.The Hotel should renuvate its furnitures and improve some services ( wifi is not free ) but it's a perfect place to get some rest and have a shower after a long day walk around Venice
