location, lobby & public areas, porch, lounge, dining room. They seem to cater to large bus tour groups who come into he hotel and leave 40-50 people at a time. This yielded no hot water in the mornings or before dinner. The walls are thin. When 40 people are leaving first thing in the morning to catch there bus it is noisy. |

The staff are so lovely and make you feel welcome. The hotel is very peaceful and for the older person. Rooms are terrible, I booked and paid for a junior suite and I received a triple room with tiny cramped balcony (not at all as described) when I complained I was offered an even smaller room with no balcony and I still had to pay the amount I was quoted for a junior suite and yet my friends paid over £200 less for the same kind of room, other members of the group also had better value rooms. |

We spent twelve days at the Astoria and would have loved to stay for many more. This hotel more than lived up to expectations, the friendly staff were exceptionally helpful, breakfast on the terrace was a joy, the restaurant served wonderful food and the pool area was a relaxing oasis. I would not hesitate to return or to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing break. A small point. It would have been nice to have some english speaking tv channels. |

The Astoria won't break any records for modernity or overwhelming comfort and facilities but it almost all the better for that. Not sure what it would be like in the height of summer but if you happen to be in that area of Tuscany it is a charming, slightly quirky, old style hotel. We had a very nice, relaxing stay. |

Quiet, peaceful yet central to town and shopping, great to have the facility to borrow bicycles to pop down to shops. Pool was very nice. Lovely older gentleman on reception was extremely nice and helpful as were the breakfast staff. However the staff at the pool were very curt disorganised and slow over the lunchtime on both days we stayed. The lady seemed very stressed and probably needed extra help when they are a number of guests by the pool requiring lunch . |

The Breakfast was good, Help yourself, The staff even serving coffee could barely understand English, and if you said I'll have my coffee later you would invariably get it straight away, and depending on the time it was usually cold. The room was not that clean, I wanted to smoke on my balcony, but had to ask for an ashtray at least three times and eventully given one by the desk man out of the downstair lounge! The balcony itself had two large loungers (canvas) and little room for anything else Both these loungers were broken and so I had to take a straight back chair (not very comfortable) onto the balcony. Which overlooked the car park. It was difficult to get a drink at the bar, as the person serving was usually missing, and finally everyone seemed to know exactly when we were leaving and the hints for a tip came fast and furious! No hope, I had little service. The evening meal was 30 Euros per person without wine and the wine was priced at double the local resturants |

The hotel food, pool and location were great. Staff was friendly and helpfull. The beds were not comfortable and the shower heads should be updated. |

the staff were very frendly, close to areas we wanted to visit,food good,pool good, the room when we got there was a bit musty like it had bin shut up all winter. Ok after a few hours with window open |

Un hotel di classe che lascia a desiderare la recepcion.Ma la delusione è nella camera singola.Sono un viaggiatore per lavoro e mi aveva lusingato il prezzo della camera considerando il nome dell'hotel ma,sono rimasto molto deluso dalla cmera che mi è stata assegnata,da pensioncina con televisorino 14' senza telecomando e con solo i canali rai,mediaset e uno locale. Servizio di discreto livello , personale impeccabile,veramente di ottimo livello(almeno quello).Grazie,Moneta Giovanni. |

la réception et le service sont très bien et attentionnés. Hôtel vieillissant: moquettes usées par endroits, plomberie perfectible (fuites bruits...), menuiserie vieillissante (simple vitrage). Un rafraichissement de l'ensemble serait un plus. |
