We liked the bed because they were very comfortable and good size. The room was quite as we had requested. The towels were changed every day. The hotel is 10 minutes far by bus from the centre (whereas on foot would take roughly 30 min) and 10 mi n walk from the train station. The majority of the staff were helpful and friendly.
One member of the staff were unpleasant. The room wasn't fresh cleaned when we arrived. The breakfast rooms were a bit small and people tended to queue to the buffet area because of the lack of space and also because there was only one toaster available. The quality of the coffee provided for breakfast was poor therefore it's recommended to order it from the staff who will kindly make it from the coffee machine.
Pas de WiFi ! Parking Payant Machine a Glassons OUT OF ORDER No other way to get even a little ICE ! We had to CALL many times from our Cell Phone to ge directions on how to drive to the Hotel. Breakfast of poor quality for a three star establishement.
Ideally placed between Bologna Central train Station and the city centre. Simple, functional, very clean and very nicely refurbished / decorated room in excellent condition. Breakfast was pretty good too with a good range of choices, all very fresh and appetising. My room (no 29) was quiet and warm [stayed in November].
Shower, whilst initially impressed by its size was very low water pressure so a good soak took ages. Occasionally unpleasent car exhaust smells in breakfast room and only once [in a 3 night stay] did I manage to sit at a clean table for my breakfast.
Location. Free bike loan
the breakfast was nice and good ,in the rooms they should have sky channels
the staff was not really friendly and helpful, they should have more room for breakfast
The only good thing about its hotel was its location. It wasn't right in the middle but it wasn't too far out.
The staff there were very rude and very unhelpful! We were two twenty year old girls. No maps at the lobby. No help with their facilities. Sheets of the bed weren't changed along the duration of out holiday. and i can't stress enough how horrible the staff were! NEVER AGAIN!
Hotel is a long walk from Piazza but we chose it because of its proximity to train station
Quite noisy at night - there seemed to be a party every night just opposite our room.
location was good, parking for 12 euro/day in the edge of ztl. ok for one night stay.
breakfast room was too small, bicyles can be repaired, the room windows in the attached building are under the road level.
Position close to the centre of Bologna, ideal for taking in the main attractions, restaurants and access to the station
Breakfast was pretty awful for an English person, although the morning tea was better than other Italian hotels.
The room is clean, the location is good, the hotel have a parking for 12€ / day. Wiffi Service is good too.
the air conditional doesn't work, the hair dryer doesn´t work, the buffet breakfast too poor and bad service.
Close to train station & bus terminal but quite far from old town centre.
If some hotels are more mediocre than others, then this one is the most mediocre...Mostly business travellers...not recommended for tourists except if you are on tight budget. The hotel staff switch off the room power as soon as you leave the room, and we had to constantly remind them to switch our power back on to get the A/C to work. Not a great breakfast and room way too small...not a nice experience.
Good value for money!
Within walking distance to many popular sites and close to train station. Proximity to attractions and other important amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Especially Giovanni and the front desk staff. Also, Angela made us perfect and unlimited coffee every morning. Our room #16 was nicely appointed and very private. We would like to go back and rent an apartment with our friends.
Wifi was sporadic but that seemed normal across Italy.
Size of the Rooms Personal unfriendly A/c didnt work Too expensive for what they offer
Good location (next to the train station and city center)
Too noisy, poor breakfast, shower out of order
The only advantage of this hotel is its location close to the railway station and the historic city center
From my point of view nothing was right, starting from the quality of staff who welcomed us hostile to services, unhygienic room, breakfast mockingly. The worst aspect, however, is of a financial nature, in the sense that my card was blocked amount of the first night the day before the date of retaining natural and although I paid cash, it was not unlocked any so far and probably as of internet banking will be released within a month.
Simple, small, nice and clean room.
Big shower head, but very little water coming out of it. Basic breakfast.
Friendly staff at reception. breakfast ok although busy and sometimes had to wait for table. room looks modern and was clean
wifi variable - had to keep logging in which was annoying
-great breakfast -comfortable and good value for money -efficient staff
-some parts of the hotel look a bit shabby
Conveniently located half-way between the train station and downtown, we spent a nice night in this place. The room was adequate, clean and quiet and the breakfast was above average for Italy - lots of pastries, different kinds of bread, meat, jam, honey, tea, coffee... it seemed abundant enough for us and we didn't have to wait for a table either. We didn't get a chance to take advantage of the offered (free!) bike rental service but in hindsight probably should have as there's lots to see in Bologna. (Also, let me take this opportunity to strongly recommend Bologna for a visit to you, it was absolutely wonderful - amazing food, lots of history and good shopping too!).
Nothing bad to say - the staff could have been more enthusiastic but they weren't unfriendly either and did what was asked of them.
Good breakfast Location close to the railway station
Unfriendly staff Wifi was broken Thin walls
We've had a nice stay in Hotel Astoria. Very good location, near to train station and perfect for a walk to city center. The staff was nice and helpful, assisting us with a map of Bologna and umbrella when raining. We've enjoyed our breakfasts.
Personnel should improve their english skills. By undersized window there was there was not enough sunlight in our room.
Air conditioning was turned off during the night. Staff kept our documents for "inspection" during check in with no explanation. Forth flour has no lift, so if you have heavy bags, like us, dont expect any help.
Our room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Location is good- close to station and 5 min walk to eateries
The staff were unfriendly and very unhelpful. They didn't even look up from the computer when spoken with. The breakfast was stale - they would be better offering something more simple with a better quality. The air conditioning unit in our room was leaking and made a dripping sound all night. The water leaking from it was obviously settling behind the wardrobe and was causing a sour smell.
Very reasonable for Bologna. Amazing shower! Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff.
Lacked the fawlty towers element that makes it memorable.
