Noisy heating, small kitchen and lack of basic appliances.
Central location. good price in February.
Check in unduly difficult given it is hotel run. Website said to call them first. I failed to get through before leaving although sent a message to say my flight was landing early. On arrival there was no answer to many calls in the morning so I called the hotel. This should have been their default instruction as other number is I think maid's mobile! They said the maid was there so I went & left bags for an hour or so until room ready. There is no facility to wash clothes or iron so it is not a full serviced apartment in this respect & kitchen might be bit cramped if cooking for more than one. If sofa bed is used it is left down in the day so the living room becomes cramped. The Bed is quite firm - matter of choice but not enough to stop me re-booking
The location is excellent being just via corso one of the main shopping streets & a short stroll to the Spanish steps but the via de greci is fairly quiet with enough people traffic always to feel safe. The area is pedestrianized so a short walk with suitcase might be a problem for some. A nice but not noisy restaurant is opposite although there are many restaurants around. Lift to room . The flat was fairly dark as I was on first floor so sun did not reach & there is not really a window in the bedroom in December January. The living room was pleasant with sofa dining table & chairs & kitchen area behind a sliding door. Everything was clean on arrival & it was well serviced every day. They leave some cold breakfast items which was useful. The cooking facility was two electric rings fine for one with a reasonable size fridge but not much room elsewhere to put food. Utensils supplied but considering they left breakfast, salt pepper would have been good. There were no wine glasses but they appeared when requested. There are two small supermarkets close by. TV and Wi-Fi worked fine -note no English language TV. The flat was well heated & good bathroom gown & slippers supplied. The sofa bed was used for a couple of days and apparently is comfortable. It was easy to call reception in the hotel & they could pass on message.
The kitchen was not well equipped and the Nespresso machine will receive its own poor review elsewhere.
Big comfortable bed, spacious bedroom and great to have a sitting room and kitchen facilities. The double glazing kept out all street noises. Excellent location -we walked everywhere from here. Extremely clean and supplies re-stocked very day.
The shower cubicle was tooo small, in a fairly good sized bathroom. Having to collect the keys elsewhere after a long flight was very inconvenient. An easier check in would make a huge difference
The location is perfect. Facilities in and around were really good. Little extras were lovely, dressing gown, slippers, coffee maker all adds up to a good stay. Would definitely recommend.
You need to be self sufficient in Rome (there's nobody to reel you where the best restaurants are or what bus to take). Although the staff is very welcoming, you only see them at check in.
It's a self sufficient apartment, so you have more freedom than in a hotel if you don't need a concierge. It's right in the center of the city, 2 blocks from piazza di spagna. All amenities are included, even the mini bar. Very comfortable even with 4 people.
Hairdryer was broken There is no reception Air conditioner is working only fan mode..so the room was quite hot.. Dont forget to take appointment when you arrive the hotel,if no you have to take a taxi to another hotel that has reception!!
Had my wallet stolen from front pocket on metro by pickpockets - be very careful in Rome, they're everywhere.
Excellent location, spacious, clean, comfortable beds, small kitchenette, quiet, lift
Small shower. Room at night drapes didn't block out light from nearby shops But drapes did not interrupt our sleep Hair dryer was a bit hard to manage.
Location Decor well done Comfy bed. Dressing gowns great All great except for list below Would recommend to anyone Double glazed windows very affective at blocking out street noise
We didn't like that we had to go all the way to the best western hotel, past the Astrid Roma suites, to pick up our keys. We arrived after 4pm and were aware that we would need to, but it was inconvenient after already travelling for six hours to get there.
Astrid Roma Suites was in a perfect location for shopping, walking to all of the major sights, and a wonderful spot to lay your head after you've done it all!!! Everything within the suite was clean and we felt as if we were at home. Navigation through the city was simple and well laid out by the person who provided our keys. We would recommend the suites to anyone who will listen!!
A great find in the best location. Rooms were a bit smaller than expected but the location and cleanliness far outweighed this. Complementary Nespresso coffee, biscuits and bottled water were a bonus! Loved it. Will definately recommend and return!
the bathroom is tired, tiles are old shower is too small and bad water pressure
location is great, the young lady looking after the property is great. we had a suite for 3 people and it was very spacious and 2 seperate rooms. very clean.
nowhere to park to deliver luggage
Everything is ok , but we ask one of stuff help us call taxi to airport when we leaving, it cost us 68 euro while the normal price is 48 euro. We are unsatisfied with it.
Good lactation, stuff is friendly , clean room ,and the wifi is speedy.
No reception Very tired looking Toilet very poor flushing Shower water no pressure Tiny kitchen Wasn't told to advise them on arrival time for the key to the apartment Very dark and stale rooms Pics on bookings.com very deceiving
Location is ok Room serviced
Using the sofa bed meant that this was "set up" for the 3 days - our choice, however, as we didn't want to be bothered setting it up every day but as there were no other "comfy" seats, it meant that sitting was either on a hard chair or lounging on the bed. Respect the safe! I inadvertently pressed the wrong number. As there is no-one on duty in the suites in the evening I could see this would become quite a problem if I hadn't eventually managed to tap in the correct code!
Loved the location. The apartment was super - lounge, one bedroom and lovely bathroom. Wifi great and cooking facilities were adequate - fridge, two ring hot plate, pans, cutlery. It was really nice to have the independence a small flat gave us. Able to get up when we wanted and quite private. Would definitely stay here again. An excellent choice for us!
Be aware that children over 3 years considers adult in Italy, when you reserve hotel. This issue with Astrid Suite was resolved by the trustful website Booking.com. But, this role valid for whole Italy.
Central location for all attractive areas in old Rome. Very clean and quiet location in middle of Rome, which is a big plus. Offering Ariport pick up is a great help, especially if you arriving after a long flight time.(though not free, it coast 70€, but avoid the hussle with your family to find a taxi and to tell him the location for same price.
Perfect location, very silent to rest, compact nice furnished..
The a/c is not perfect. And also they definitely have problems with plumbing, the water pressure is awful!!!
The location is perfect! Nice apartment.
great location, great big rooms, very clean inside. perfect hotel buffet, very nice place to eat breakfest just at the ground floor. super place for families with children!
Location is excellent. It is quite spacious, more than it appears in the photos. The sound-proof windows are very helpful for sleeping. All the amenities are great, including the N'espresso machine. The toiletries are very pleasant and abundant. Comfortable bed, plenty of towels and we love the robes and slippers.
All was ok
Very clean , confortable bed , snacks and drinks every day, good location
Table/ seating area could be bigger No coffee machine (instant coffee powder available) No English language TV
Location Good deal at 540 Eur/4 nights Excellent cleaning of the flat Friendly staff Snacks provided X-box for the kids Working WiFi
Very clean and comfort rooms with nice furniture (the living room was furnished with old-style wooden tables and chairs). It is also really quiet in the bedroom at night, although it is situated near to a very living Via del Corso street. The rooms are owned by a Best Western hotel, so they are cleaned every day and are kept up with the hotel standards. And yes, this makes them look more like a very-high-quality hotel rooms, rather than a privately rented apartments.
