The location was great, away from the hustle and bustle but only a 10min tram ride into the centre. There were good restaurants and cafes by the hotel which were often a better option than eating in the centre! I thought the room was too small and bathroom was a bit dated, a more powerful shower would have been nice.. Also there weren't any English channels on the tv

Location is excellent, by tramway 3 stations from Piazza del Poppolo (15 minutes by walk). Room is nice and comfortable, bathroom is extremly large with Italian standard (we were in 3 beds-room). Free mineral water, orange juice and some crakers are exceptional, tea and coffee making possibility makes the evenings very warm. Breakfast on the 5th floor is ok, Italian style, more sweet things, ckaes, less ham and cheese, but fruit salad is also available. For us this was perfect, good start for a sigth-seeing tour. From breakfast place the view is fantastic, pictures on web page do not lie, Staff is friendly, hotel is clean and luggage deposit in closed wardrobe helps you in the day of leaving Rome or arriving early. Sometimes breakfast room is overcrowded, you should select breakfast time properly,

Very nice hotel, with a really nice room. Mini bar and breakfast were included. There is a very nice terrace on the top floor where breakfast is server, and two computers to get on the internet(free). The location is not in central Rome, but the tram is only a block away, and with the Roma pas including metro, only a 10 minute ride to the center of Rome.

The only good thing about this hotel is its convenient location. It is a 2 minute walk to a tramway and then a 5 minute ride to the Flaminio metro station. It is impossible to sleep or rest in this hotel. The noise levels on this Hotel are unbearable; there is no noise isolation whatsoever. The building is part hotel and part residential (apartments) there is no separation. Floors are marble everywhere but the room (floating floor), very thin walls separating rooms noise comes from every direction. There is wind blowing across the floors. Some rooms are immediately next to the kitchen, breakfast area. Rooms are dusty, very superficial cleaning. Staff is not pleasant or service minded, act as if doing you a favour. Unprofessional too, after I have complained about noise and wind coming into our room from corridors, and been told there was nothing they could do, the receptionist asked me for a cigarette…Was supposed to stay 5 nights, left after the first sleepless night. If it was not for booking.com helping find another hotel my holidays would have been ruined. Terrible “hotel”…if you can call it an hotel anyway.

Friendly staff, nice service, excellent breakfast The window is completely sealed with iron, this made my stay very stuffy and felt bad. This isn't supposed to be the room designed for this price.

The staff were very helpful with everything. They allowed us to change rooms because of the noise from the street. The bedrooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very nice. The noise from the street at night was terrible, so we asked to move to the back of the hotel. Also, the heating was on and the room was very hot , but the staff turned the heating off for us. The hotel was a little far from the centre of everything but if you don't mind walking then it's ideal.

Much better than we can expected for this price. Great view during breakfast. Really nice hotel Not close to the center by walking. But it's no problem – public transport works good.

Had two normal laptops on the fifth floor with internet which anyone could go on at any time to use for free, to look for photos or internet or whichever. There was always one laptop free at least! Also free wi-fi for everyone with one connection point on every floor, so very good coverage. Staff were great and friendly and most of them knew us even though it was a reasonably big hotel. Beautiful view from the fifth floor breakfast room of the top of St Peter's Basilica, the Tiber river, and quite a lot of the rest of room. Which is small and cosy and has great free breakfast for all guests! There was yoghurt, fresh fruit, jams, spreads, four sorts of beautiful croissants (plain, chocolate, apricot, cream), three types of cakes, brown and white bread, tea and coffee, juice, etc. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room but also on the fifth floor was a hot water and coffee always there and hot for when you came back from a long day, free of charge which you could get yourself at any time of the day! You could also sit in the breakfast room any time of the day if you wanted to sit anywhere else or have a little bit to eat with a table. Great room, clean and modern. Bigger than expected. Overall a very enjoyable experience, if I go to Rome again I will definitely have this hotel. A little bit too far away from the centre of Rome - had to take a metro and tram and walk a little from the central train station before we got to the hotel, which wasn't a good experience as it was snowing badly the whole day and we had our heavy suitcases. Shower in bathroom was angled so that almost as much water went on the ground than in the bath itself; had to angle ourselves very carefully so this didn't happen!

It's location to the Teatro Olimpico as I had business there. The breakfast room was excellent and it was lovely to sit and eat and look out at the view over the Tevere. We ordered room service from a take away Pizza Delivery place and it was disgusting!!! Please, please, please stop recommending your guests order hotel delivery food from this place! It spoilt our whole trip.

Hotelpersonel was super friendly and helpful. Hotel location near tram and metro, but also walking distance from centre. Their own taxi service is also super. Do ask for that if you need one. We have had a super time and would go there again. Room 209 says "Thank you all !!!"

There is nothing to really dislike about the Astrid. The room was smallish but we were told it would be, The bathroom was good and everything worked. The room was serviced well. Breakfast was really excellent. No dinner was available but there are plenty of good restaurants close-by. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was okay although we are quite keen walkers it is a fair distance to visit the main sites on foot. However the public tramway pick-up was close-by and cheap. The wi-fi worked well and I was able to check-in for our flight from my mobile using it. Quite expensive but it is in a major city and we went at a busy time. I wouldn't bother looking for another hotel if we visit Rome again. The Astrid would be fine. Dinner not available although we thought it would be.

The hotel is in a very good location, just a short walk from the real "touristy" areas, or an even shorter walk to a street car that will get you there. Very nice morning breakfast, and an excellent view from the hotel! If you are a light sleeper, I would recomend an interior view, off street. Staff is very helpful including Andreas who took care of a problem we had. Well recomended!

It meets the basic needs- while on a vacation where one only spends time in the hotel for sleeping purposes. Single room was tiny, bathroom bigger than the room itself. However, very clean and breakfast terrace has an awesome view. Location seems far, but it is actually very convenient, 3 tram stops from one of the hubs in Rome, Piazza del Popolo. As I mentioned, single room was indeed for one person.Internet was down during my whole stay, which was a major inconvenience.

The hotel staff was nice and helpful. The hotel is close to some major tourist attractions. The view from the breakfast site is excellent. Excellent air-conditioning system in an extremely hot town. We enjoyed our 5 nights stay and didn't have any problems :) The breakfast itself was uninspired and dull (but there was plenty of it and the staff was friendly and helpful)
