We looked for a hotel in a location that would allow us to visit Napoli without staying in Napoli itself, with good-enough standard and reasonable price. Augustus served this particular purpose well. The staff was nice and friendly. The room was clean, so was the bathroom. They provide a free, spacious, closed private car park. The hotel is relatively close to the railway (Circumvesuviana) station, you need to walk about 10-15 mins to get there. There is 1 train/hour to Napoli, the travel gets 35mins and its cheap (4.50 eur for a daily tickets on weekends, which allows you to use all public communication in Napoli too). The breakfest was ok, but it was completely on the sweet side (croissants, cereal, jam, honey, yoghurt, fruits, juice, tea, coffee), no cheese, ham, etc. Don't expect anything special about the Ottaviano town - no views, sightseeing places, etc. The hotel is located directly at the street that becomes noisy on evenings. The view from our room was just a wall of a neighbouring building. The furniture looks a bit tired.

Internet was free and provides good connection. After an 8 hrs travel I was in for a good Italian dinner, but the restaurant was closed Sunday evening. Room service made it up.
