cheap, convenient, homey atmosphere, defintely recommend
Very good host Nice and clean Perfect location Lovely balcony
When you use the water there's some loud noise coming from the water system. Breakfast could use some more variety
The location is excellent, one minute away from the metro station, on a quiet enough street. The area has many bars, restaurants and shops, so everything you need is close. It's clean, but not spotless clean.
(I was in the single room). Toiletseat was broken and didn't have a cover. The bathroom is not just for yourself (not necessarily a problem, just not what is advertised). There was no coffee and a very poor breakfast two out of three mornings. Owner seems to be much more concerned about making excuses on why things didn't work properly instead of making things work properly. And I won't even comment on how long it took me to get an invoice for the room payment. Overall, it is your home away from home, if you want to live in a shared flat with people who don't have a clue about what they are doing. Apparently, they were having staff problems, I hope it will be better in the future.
Great host there, very nice room ( we had the chance to get the one with balcony over a beautiful garden); the room was clean and made up every day; very close to the metro for fast getting to city centre and main attractions ( 20 min).
Breakfast is only a morning snack.
We were given a nice and comfortable room. Good breakfast and nice treatment by the BB staff, who were very helpful during our stay
Nothing to complain on
Location is good, near metro red line which is easy to access anywhere. Breakfast is good as well, clean room, good staff
I wrote an email to ask direction for arriving but only have the email after my arriving. When I arrived, nobody was there and also did not answer the phone. I have to knock the neighbor door to ask help. With lucky, the son of the old lady can speak English and help me find Paolo. It is real not good for my 1st day in Italy.
Great all around place to stay, very friendly staff, wifi worked very well, close to a great restaurant and bus and metro station.
Location is near the metro station, which is a very convenient way to get to the center of Rome. Supermarket and great cafe within walking distance.
Same breakfast every day, will be nice to have some variety.
The location, near an undergroundstation. Parking for a car is possible but not always easy; cost: about 7 € a day. There is an excellent restaurant ("Buono" in the neighbourhood"). The manager is very helpful and friendly; his English is excellent.
Breakfast is good, but can be better.
the price is reasonable and acceptable for such a tourist city, close to metro station, so it is easy to go anywhere
Good place. Nice balcony with garden. close to the metro, near centre. Good breakfast, toilaterries.
Smaller shower, tiny walls, noise from the toilet, but nothing really disturbing. Good sleep, but details are not making the perfect score.
They have an amasing view, it is very close to the subway and from there you can get anywhere. I recommend using the Roma Pass during the visit, it is very useful. It's very close to a restaurant where the food is very good at a very good price, the owner recommended it to us and us there eat every night. If we return to Rome we will definitely stay in the same place.
balcony, bed, a very friendly personal, breaksfast, location
Paolo and staff were very nice and accommodating. Very organize and clean. Highly recommendable.
Paolo, the housekeeper is a very kind, polite and helpful person. The room and bathroom was nice and very clean. The station is near so you can easily go everywhere.
Avoid Termini Station area and come to this neighborhood. It's a safe residential area for local Italians. Take fr 1 train (cheaper than Express & w/limited stops) from airport and get off at Roma Tuscolana. Local supermarket behind train station for daily rations (local prices). Walk straight up Via Gela until Via Appia Nuova where Metro Station-Ponte Lungo is located. Aurora Green is across the street to the right (within 1 block). See? Convenient to use trains for in & out of city Rome, and even more convenient with daily Metro commute (within 5 min from Aurora Green to Metro Station). Facilities just like others comment: nice, very quiet, clean and tidy. We had the corner room with balcony (best view of local church clock tower-just check w/Paolo when making reservation). Have 2 chairs and a small table: good for patio use) Bathroom is recently renovated (so no ugly mildew on tiles but it's bit tight; shower works w/ample amt. Of hot water supply (ie, no shower frustration!). Room very comfortable to sleep inside at night (nice and quiet)! Owner Paolo (a young energetic man) and Mama: super nice & friendly that you will definitely fall in love with; bkf is continental w/fruit, cereal and yogurt; coffee (even Nespresso machine avail.)& tea unlimited all day long. That's why others call Aurora Green their home in Rome. I agree. Pls say Hi for me to Paolo and Mama. Grazie Mille!
If you're not too happy with the bread selection offered, please don't hesitate to try the Stand Up Style breakfast at a local Italian café with a croissant/brioche and wash it down with another cup of Cappuccino/Espresso; it's cheap & Italian! Enjoy Italy please!
