Hotel Villa San Pio is on Rome's green Aventine Hill. Made up of 3 separate villas, it offers free parking and quiet gardens. The elegant rooms feature hardwood floors and decorative walls.

In a 19th-century building, the Quirinale is a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum. This historic hotel is connected to Rome Opera House through a passageway in its leafy courtyard.

Relax on the grounds at this friendly hotel, in the popular area of San Lorenzo in the center of Rome, surrounded by typical restaurants and cafés.
Score from 975 reviews Very good
Well located, close to a number of tourist sites and public transport systems, pleasant outdoor sitting area, comfortable room, good breakfast, pleasant staff.
air conditioning a bit erratic.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Quiet area but not far from all the sights. Will definitely use this hotel again.
Aircon was noisy.
We stayed for 4 night at Aventino and were happy with everything. The staff very friendly and accommodating, the room quiet ( just like we requested). The breakfast was fantastic. Huge variety of food to serve everybody's preferences. Fresh fruit and waitress making your coffee. The location of the hotel is perfect. Its a quiet residential area and close to sight seeing places. The little garden was perfect for our lavish breakfast. The bathroom was big with fresh towels.
The wifi reception in the room was not available ,but we were happy to go to the lobby when needed.
The staff was so helpful and we also felt welcome as soon as we entered the reception area. the hotel is situated in a very quite area and the room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was beautiful and the service given by the staff was very efficient. I must admit that if I had to visit Rome again, I will definitely chose this hotel for a lot of reasons and MUST recommend to everyone.
Very friendly welcome, great room with a veranda and even a spa bath. Very quiet in the center of Rome and fantastic value for money. Really great breakfast.
Only Italian TV programs.
Everything was perfect! A great place to stay, close to main attractions, but in green area of Rome.
Good location. Close to everything. Very nice and helpful hotel res staff. Very pleased stay over there.
Nothing to complain
What a charming little hotel this is: cosy, luxurious rooms with lots of wood and marble, a spacious bathroom (and even a safe). It's located in what must be the quietest area in Rome but with bustling areas like Trastevere and Testaccio within walking distance. The staff was also top notch: friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really breakfast with a lot of tasteful choice . And last but not least: the most romantic little park there is to find with (especially at night) a breathtaking view over Roma.
The hotel is located in a very quiet neibourhood. It is near metro station Circo Massimo ( 10 minutes walk ). It is near major objectives (Colloseum, Circo Massimo, keyhole at Piazza di Cavaleri di Malta and Boca de la Verite). Very good breakfast that in sunny days you can take it in the courtyard. Nice and helpful staff.
Decor, location, helpful staff,breakfasts,quiet.
Close to Circus Maximus, Oranges Park, nice, leafy suburb. Great staff, nice room, good breakfast, very good value .
No restaurants/shops close by. We found it easier to walk to Trastavere, which has heaps.
For us it was even like TOO good =))) Too minded staff nearly scared us)) LOL It was a nice room, comfortable and large, with air conditioning. Good breakfast. And perfect location! A lot of sightseings are in the walking distance.
Expensive minibar which is not that much of a problem.
Great location in the middle of the city, walking distance to everything (in the centre), still very quiet and charming atmosphere. And parking within hotel walls!
Strangely working air-condition, partly operated from the reception (???), partly from the room itself.
I regularly stay at Aventino hotels (Aventino or San Pio) and always feel very comfortable and well looked after. Each room is different and it has a homely atmosphere in a very nice and quiet part of Rome (Aventino hill).
Period charm of the hotel. Concierge always friendly and helpful. Food was good. Love the Aventine generally.
The prices generally in Rome seem to increase too rapidly. The first stay in 2005 at Hotel Aventino cost €45!
The second room we were given on the top floor was excellent.
Some of the staff aren't very helpful, depends who you get. When we first arrived we were treated very abruptly and given a horribly pokey room. Considering we were on honeymoon this was disappointing.
The area was an ideal choice on the Aventine Hill which is leafy and quiet yet near the centre. The Hotel is a large villa in an area where you feel safe to walk at night to the restaurants at the bottom of the hill, The reception staff where charming and very helpful especially Hector whose restaurant recommendations were excellent. All the staff including the breakfast waitress spoke English and I was greeted each morning with an excellent cappuccino followed by a pot of green tea. Breakfast is served in a pleasant room that leads out into an outdoor dining area on the terrace. Breakfast always had fresh seasonal fruit, yoghurts, cereal. cheese and cold meats, boiled eggs and a variety of pastries, rolls and bread. Our room had a super king bed furnished and decorated in a baroque style which suited the building. It was incredibly quiet with curtains that shut out the light completely and very efficient air con.The bathroom was roomy with good bathroom fittings including a spa bath (not tried) and an overhead drench shower with hand shower which was our choice, also bidet and washbasin. We had room 339 which was on the 1st floor and only a short staircase down to reception and breakfast although there is a good lift if preferred,.
A bar would have been nice although there was a mini bar in the room
Cozy apmosphere, good service, great location
The location is very good. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast.
In the information book in the room it was mentioned that a bar was open at the hotel. Where was that bar?????
The peaceful location away from the maelstrom of the centre. The trees in the shady garden and the bird song.
A tranquil oasis of friendly comfort only a short walk from the main attractions of Rome. A lovely place with lovely staff.
Hard to think of anything to fault!
Great location if you want to get away from the crowds. Only a few minutes from Circus Maximum/Colosseum, as well as the "trendy/grungy" (guidebook wording) Testaccio area with some great trattoria. Lovely parks with views over Rome just a minute away.
Loved our stay at Hotel Aventino. Great, helpful staff. Nice quiet location. Charming accomodations and very good breakfast. We would definately stay here again!
Great location (if you like peace and quiet) Friendly and helpful staff
No food/drinks at the hotel (had to go to the "sister" hotel to get that) Breakfast could have been better with some scrambled eggs and such. If that is not to your liking it had most "cold" things.
The location was amazing, very safe neighborhood and only a few minutes from the metro line.
