This was a family trip to "discover our roots," so the staff provided the local transportation we needed. We were able to tour the mt-top village of Santa Severina with its ancient castle and one of the oldest churches in the area dating back to 800. The food was great prepared by award-winning chef Salvatore, and we also greatly enjoyed the staff, Guiliani in particular, whose personality was winsome and English translation skills were a great blessing. The Azienda had the feel of a castle, with great dining area that could seat 100 and would be wonderful for a family reunion or wedding party. They grow and produce much of the food right there. There is a pool overlooking the olive groves and a splendid view of San Severina, and off to the sea. We felt for the money it was a bargain. I paid 75 euro/day for my single room that included private bath, all the meals, drinks, and shuttles!

The staff was wonderful, but we wish we had known there were no area provisions for rental cars or even buses to get us where we wanted to go. We should have stopped in Lamezia to pick up a rental car, but it was already closed by the time we got there at 7pm. For future travelers, be sure to plan on bringing a vehicle to this area. There was a very small tv in the room but I never even tried it. There was no wifi, and the bed and pillows were fairly hard. Other than that, I think it was beautiful.

Le cadre et la beauté des lieux

Un personnel froid ne parlant aucune langue étrangère et un repas fixe sans aucun choix : à vrai dire, on préférait ce qu'il y avait sur la table d'à côté réservée aux italiens du crû !

Het personeel is allemaal superaardig, gastvrij, behulpzaam, ontzettend lekker gegeten bij Salvatore, de bediening, de omgeving, de kamer. Echt geweldig gehad!

Gentillesse de l'accueil, excellent environnement, bonne gastronomie.

Rustig, verzorgd, goed eten, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel

Weinig sfeer, in omgeving niet zoveel te doen

Leuk zwembadje met prachtig uitzicht op de bergen, avond eten was lekker

Slechte bedden, lomp restaurantpersoneel (we hadden gezegd dat we er zouden eten, waarop ze eten beginnen aan te voeren, zonder te vragen wat je wenst. Het wordt op de tafel gesmeten zonder uitleg).
