Location (via Catalunya 10)was very good - very close to the bus station (especially if you need it for the link with the airport) and as well very close to anything else (restaurants, port, in the very city center). Lovely sea view. This was a completely equiped studio with everything you need. The host is a lovely lady and she gave us very good hints about Alghero.
1. Close to the beach. 2. Close to the market.
1. 35 mins walk to city centre, contradicting the city centre website description. 2. After booking the room, they gave the location at 12am, which was only 12hours before our arrival. 3. No hair dryer as promised. 4. Broken toilet seat. 5. Filthy shower curtains. 6. Faulty garden door which does not lock - security risk. 7. Mouldy shower tiles. 8. Mouldy taps. 9. Faulty bathroom door which jams shut. 10. Dirty kitchen, grease and grime etc. 11. No helpful town information in room. 12. When we called to complain on the day after check-in, Roma75 would not send any staff to help.
The room was simple, but very central, right by the promenade. That means that it was also a bit noisy but with the window closed one could sleep well. The location is a definite plus.
A bit noisy at night but no problem when windows closed.
The level of rudeness that we have been put through by the owner of this establishment is outrages. I will try to explain you exactly the course of actions that took place on the day of our arrival to Alghero, on the day when we had a reservation in Roma75. We have arrived at the address which was given in my booking confirmation, which is Via Catalogna 10. There we rang at the interphone but nobody answered. Then I called the phone number that was also given in the confirmation. After 5 minutes, a man came and took us to a flat two corners away. What he actually showed us was a double room in a huge apartment with a shared bathroom. The room was quite basic and only had a double bad and a small closet. Actually, the room looked as a basic room in some hostel. Note that our booking was for a studio with the private bathroom. We naturally refused to stay in this room and requested to speak again with the owner. Then she started making up things in order to force us to take the room. She said that she didn't hold the room for us because she considered my reservation canceled, because apparently my credit card was not working. Now this story has a couple of serious flows. First, my credit card should not been used by the owner at all. It was given just so that we can make a reservation. The payment should have been in person when we show up. Second, for sure nothing was, or is wrong with my credit card. Third, she never canceled my reservation. Next we left the flat and went to an internet cafe to find some other accommodation. Couple of days later, I got an email from Booking.com which inform me that No show policy was requested by the owner. It would mean that above all we have to pay for the accommodation anyway. Needless to say that if she ever tries to charge my credit card for this, I will cancel the transaction and sue her for using my credit card without the permission.
Very clean and great to have a sink in the room. Location right on the promenade next to the sea so noisy at night but with the shutters closed it was fine (though a bit hot). Bathroom fantastic - clean and well stocked. We also received a lovely email ahead of our arrival to tell us where to check in and welcome us.
Noisy at night but that's because it us such a great location!!
Space is very generouse; Nice colours and furniture; Good location, considering the touristic attractions and the bus travelling connections; Nice view
No citchen facilities, evan they are in position to function; Troubles in finding the venue adress (difference between posted adress and real location)
Location wasn't too crowded. Nice balcony.
Male shower a mess. No reception. Long wait to check in.
The woman who received us, was inpolite and inpaciente. She doens't like the job she is doing, and she doens't enjoy live. Is not what you are willing to experience when you go on holidays. The door of the toilet didn't close. And Internet didn't work correctly.
The location was awesome, right in the center near beach. Staff was nice and professional, speaking basic English. They provided us a driver to pick us up at airport, and drive straight to place of our accommodation. Beaches are amazing, especially Maria Pia. There are boats going to Capo Caccia, must see! All in all very nice and hot holiday!
No refrigerator in room. And Maybe they should have provided some info or map of Alghero in room.
Bad experience. No bed No Breakfast, no hotel no hostel. We had a bad and disappointing stay in Roma 75. First of all it was very difficult to find the place. We were directed to through booking to the “reception” = “the door of a building”. No one was there to attend us. After several time calling and waiting some guy appeared and redirect us to another location 20 minutes away walking with the luggage. Once at the location, we were supposed to get a double room with some see views, tv, bed, aircon etc. We actually got nothing of it, instead we had to stay in a living room of an old apartment and we were supposed to sleep in a sofa bed that it was at least 50 years old. It was impossible to sleep on that sofa bed as it was very uncomfortable, noisy and literally falling apart. The lady who attend us was not even ashamed of that and told us take it or leave it. So at the end we had to put the 1.70m “mattress” on the floor and sleep with my feet out and some springs stags in my back. Moreover, the lady which was not so polite, told not to use under any circumstances to use a fridge that was in the kitchen, not even to store water or a cold drink otherwise she would charge us more. At the time of paying she was very polite, but despite what it says on booking we were not able to pay by card, so as we had no change we had to walk another 15 minutes to the nearest atm. A bad experience altogether in this Place, I don’t recommended to anyone.
