The cleanest accommodation I've ever stayed in! It was spotless. Stunning view from the balcony and in an excellent location. Very attentive and friendly staff. Sorrento is lovely!
Only down side was twin beds pushed together, which I find so uncomfortable. So if you don't like that, make sure you request the one double room they have. But that room has a single person balcony, so it's a bit of a weigh up of what you'd prefer! They should put the double bed in the room with the corner balcony, then this place would have absolutely zero fault!
Christina, Frederica and all the staff/family were wonderful--very helpful in organizing a tour guide and a shuttle to a restaunt one evening. The room was incredible-clean, modern design and the balcony with a view was wonderful! My room (Lily of the Valley) was a 2-floor room which gave me lots of space for my 4 nights there. The breakfast was delicious too!
Nothing--it was all great!
The location is just steps from Sorrento's center, but quiet. The "Lavender" apartment, on two levels, has fantastic views from both its terrace and balcony. The housekeeping is done with pedantry. The owners and the reception clerk compete on kindness and friendliness.
Although for us this wasn't a problem, one should know the appatments are on the 3-rd floor. The parking place is small and cramped, so guests would better ask for owner's help if / when parking...
Location, balcony, the freshness and cleanliness of the apartment and the helpful friendly Cristina
It is located very centrally, within easy walking distance of the hub of the town, many restaurants, the train station, the port and a number of parks and view points. The balcony although small, offered the most wonderful views of the sea and of Vesuvius. The staff cannot do enough for you. Cristina worked hard finding out information for us so that we could get the most out of our stay. She also insisted on carrying our heavy cases up the stairs both when we arrived and when we left. Breakfast is delivered to the room at a time of your choosing and is a traditional Italian breakfast with plenty to eat. The bed is comfortable and the air conditioning did its job keeping us comfortable during unseasonably hot weather in mid October. The room is on two storeys and with the exception of the bathroom which was a pretty blue, it is all decorated in shades of white and cream. Very clean, modern and bright. There is a safe, a small fridge, plenty of space for clothes etc, a lovely big double sized shower, a small table and a sort of bed/settee. A very pleasant place to stay.
Ok....others have mentioned the stairs. There are 74 steps to get to this B&B. But......firstly the staff will help with your luggage and secondly, it's well worth it for the views. Besides...I'm 47 years old and about ten stone overweight and I coped. Think of it as an antidote to all the wonderful food you'll eat while you are there :)
The view The apartment The staff
Everything was absolutely spotless. Magda and the owners couldn't have done any more to ensure we had a lovely holiday. We hired a car for our week but Sorrento is a bit of a nightmare regarding parking. The family just met us at the hotel and took the car away and parked it securely. It was available with 20 minutes notice
The stairs up to the property were a bit of a trial. You must be fit. Any disability would make life incredibly difficult
We have just returned to rainy cold Scotland, from Sorrento. We stayed for a week at BB Al Centro, owned by Adriana, and family, and the facilities, service hospitality, and genuine friendliness shown by the family(who live next door) and by Claudia and Magda, who run the reception, are way above any we have experienced anywhere in Europe. You arrive as strangers, and leave as friends, The apartment, which was the smallest of the 3 in the complex, was on 2 levels, and was much larger than a hotel room, and breakfast is delivered to your door at a time you choose, consisting of hot drinks, croissants and pastries, pre packed crisp toast, fruit, and assorted jams, and nutella. The staff are full of tips for excursions, eating out, and have all the boat trip times, buses, etc., The view from the small balcony is absolutely STUNNING!! you view the mountains straight ahead, and the bay of Naples with Vesuvius and Naples, to the left. To sit on the balcony with a wine or beer in the evening, and watch the sun changing the colour of the mountains is beyond fantastic. All in all a great holiday experience. Book up BB Al Centro, and you will not have the usual worry of whether it will be ok, I guarantee it!!. And by the way I am not related to the owners, or on commission. Ciao.
Such a clean apartment. Liked our little balcony, overlooking the Hotel Excelsior and the coast. Wonderful staff, would never let us handle our own luggage up the many flights of stairs. Nice touch of spag and ingredients in the kitchen. Lovely decoration. Couldn't have a better location.
Many flights of stairs, keeps you fit. Rather small, no area to relax in, no settee etc.
The location was great, the apartments were modern and clean. The staff was very kind and helpful! There was a small prosecco and greeting card waiting in our room :)
No elevator (the B&B is on the third floor), plus stairs inside the room which was a little uncomfortable. Toiletries were not refreshed.
Lovely place, lovely people, perfect holiday location.
Very good location and only a couple of minutes to the centre of town and 10 minutes to the station where you can catch trains to Pompeii and buses to the Amalfi coast. The staff were very helpful and gave us suggestions of timetables and recommendations of where to visit.
There is no lift so walking up the 3 levels of stairs may be strenuous for some older folks. The staff were very helpful and insisted in taking our luggages from the ground floor to our rooms.
Our balcony had a fantastic view and the B&B had a great location. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke good English. They were very helpful, especially Magda, in all areas, particularly when it came to lugging suitcases up seven flights of stairs!
Wasn't prepared for seven flights of stairs, but the staff carried our heavy suitcases up and down with ease.
The warm welcome we received by Magda and Adriana were very welcoming after a long journey. It is 3 flights of stairs with no elevator but our suitcases were taken up and down for us. Magda especially couldn't do enough for us, showing us around the beautiful apartment which was spotless, modern and comfortable. She also went far beyond her duties to search train tickets for our next destination as I was unprepared for the busyness of the holiday season. Breakfast was more than adequate with good selection. Location is excellent, seconds to shops, restaurants. Thank you for your 5 star service, Magda & Adriana
Couldn't stay longer.
We were made so welcome when we arrived and were helped with our cases up several flights of stairs. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Air conditioning was excellent. We had a lovely balcony with fantastic view and were right in centre of old town so very near to shops and restaurants. Room was very quiet at night. Would recommend to everyone.
Staff soo attentive Clean spacious room Beautiful views Prefect location
Great location and facilities in the room, extremely helpful staff!
Amazing location and luxury 2 floor flat with rooftop terrace + bedroom balcony looking out towards Vesuvius across the bay. Very helpful supervisor who arranged all our outings and a friendly owner available for advise as well. We really appreciated being left all the ingredients our first nights supper since we arrived in the evening. Excellent furnishings and well appointed rooms which were kept very clean during our stay.
Not that we minded, but it is at the top of a tall 3 story flight of stairs with no lift. The kithenette, althoughfully equipped to high standards, suffers from lack of work space.
The location without doubt was our favourite, a couple of mins from the harbour view in one direction and Tasso Piazza in the other. Also the service and the obvious care of the owners. Then there is also the design/style of the room, it's cleanliness, excellent air con, good wifi, lovely breakfasts, comfy bed. All in all, close to perfection for the price.
The only downside is the number of stairs up to the third floor - a bit of a chore after a tiring day out.
Beautiful apartment with wonderful balconies (sea-view, outdoor shower etc.). Up-to-date designed furniture, kitchen well-equipped. Close to the city centre and the passage to the harbour as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Perfect choise for staying in Sorrento.
The view is awesome and the breakfast on balcony was very pleasant. Also loved the fresh flowers in the room.
Can't think of any negative one
Pretty and friendly staffs ; well decorated 、very clean and comfortable room ; balcony is big enough and with especially great sea-view; 5-7 minutes' walk to the train station , which is very convenient to take bus to other Amalfi towns .
Almost perfect except the high stairs without elavator.
The staff was always available and friendly. It is obviously a family owned business - and each member took time and care to attend to your needs. The apartment was so well thought out for such a small space - not an inch was wasted - and the view was amazing!
The views were breathtaking! We were looking for an authentic Sorrento experience. Every detail down to the recommended taxi driver was primo! The service was outstanding. This was number one on our list of places to stay!
That we didn't plan to stay longer.
Lovely friendly staff and vet clean. Great location
There were a few flights of stairs which was fine for us but people that are less able may struggle
