Eventhough they had sent us excellent directions we still managed to get lost. And eventhough it was late in the evening, the owner and his son went out of their way and came to our rescue. We had a deligtful stay in the hidden gem that is the old town of Monopoli, but the icing on the cake was the the excellent accomodation and wonderful personal touch exhibited by Mirco at Casa Cimino.
Massimo and Mirko were delightful and so helpful. They couldn't do enough to make sure I had everything I needed and gave me train and bus timetables and advice on what to see. My room was beautiful and spacious. The location was great.
Nothing. Everything was perfect!
The good things are: The location; The service; And despite of what we have read, we found the breakfast good! Of course you must realise that you are in Italy. But the variety of choices was exellent.
the owner helped us in soluting the parking problem
1.being casa cimino in the heart of the historic center - you cannot enter with your car' abd there are problems of reaching the B&b , and parking; 2. the breakfast is very rootin and not too atractive.
Really good B&B. Great staff and beautiful rooms!
Clean, comfortable and nice place to stay in Monopoli. Family owned by a very nice couple, who runs the place with their son. Home made and yummy cakes in the morning!
Owner was very helpful before and during stay. Vary good contact all the time. He gave us a lot of helpfull tips. Where to go wher to eat have fun what to see and how to get there. Great location in the middle of old town. Very clean room and bathroom (cleaning every day). Very good wi-fi connection. Nice italian breakfast. Fridge open for guests. Terrace quite small but is really added value to this loaction. Old town and seaport view. Good place to relax after long day and befor going out for all evening. I could write a lot about this place and stay. One of my best vacation. What I'd like to emphasize it is really frendliness of staff (owner and his son).
Too short stay :)
Everything ! Massimo and his son were very nice and helpful, the room was great, cleaned everyday, plenty of choice at breakfast. The rooftop terrace was a great place to chill and sunbathe. There is the use of a fridge in the basement breakfast room which came in handy to keep beer chilled ! The location was perfect, just around the corner from the local square, where there are numerous bars and restaurants. Everything in the old town is within walking distance, great B&B, great location, great people. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
Excellent host, good breakfast, nice location
Great hospitality and family atmosphere. Great Italian breakfast.
Nothing to report
It was extremely clean, the owner was very helpful and friendly, and everything worked well. My wife and I with two friends stayed for two nights were very pleased and would strongly recommend Casa Cimino.
Great location, very friendly owners, charming building, great views from the roof terrace. Too bad we couldn't stay longer.
Being in the center of town and after dinner we walked around the town and port.
Hard bed. Had to park a distance and walk to B&B.
Very helpful owner !
The atmosphere of the B&B was charming and cozy. I felt like I was in a fairytale or a storybook. The room was spacious and everything was very clean. Massimo, the owner, Massimo, and his son, Mirko, like all of the people I met in Puglia, were extremely kind and helpful, genuine people with a positive energy. The breakfasts were ample, delicious, and fresh. Massimo even brought a cake his aunt had made. Monopoli is a special place, and this B&B is one of its gems.
Nothing at all.
- the owner Massimo and his son Mirko are so charming, polite, helpful and yet they don't intrude in your privace. Perfect hosts. - the establishment is really enchanting with a great buffet breakfast for being just a b&b - perfectly appointed in the centre of town
Loved the location, the cleanliness and the way in which the property has been refurbished. The owner is very welcoming and friendly, delicious italian breakfast and the room was excellent. We will certainly stay again it is highly recommended.
Nothing, it was excellent.
The house is located in the old town area, has a few rooms and is in very good condition. As in other lodgings like this you must be able to climb stairs.(no elevator) Once we checked in we didn't find the stairs difficult. We enjoy walking thru the old town areas and this location is perfect for that. You will need to park your car nearby in the lot by the harbor (free parking), and then it is about a 5 minute walk to the property. The owners are very nice , friendly, and speak English fairly well. Breakfast was in a nice room and enjoyable. Stayed two nights and it was about the right amount of time spent here.
Not much that we didn't like. Just be sure to park in the parking lot but the harbor and walk to the property. We followed the gps and drove right to the property, but like other old town areas, streets are narrow and it was difficult. Also there is no parking, so we returned to the harbor lot.
Enthusiasm of the owner. Interesting part of the town. Interesting building.
Stairs would be a problem to those less sprightly.
Cosy breakfast room with great coffee, selection of pastries and conversation with Massimo. Monopoli itself appeals as a non-touristic fishing town.
