The apartments are situated in a very convenient place in Catania, right of the fish market and the gate to the old town. Everything is within the walking distance. The apartments themselves are nice, clean and comfortable, staff is very pleasant and breakfast is good. Therefore I would definitely recommend this place for others looking for accommodation in Catania.
Very central, near to the fish market, and piazza duomo ,the rooms are warmly decorated, and reasonable price
Great staff and location near the fish market and cathedral.
Hotel near the rail train station so it could be noisy at times. Not a wide variety at breakfast.
Everything ! Amazing staff and friendly owner ! Super comfortable rooms / every room is different decorated :) The train passing by is not a problem, there is a very good soundproof ... The hotel is right in the center of Catania. Very polite staff !! I will go back there for sure !!! Go there !!!
I was visiting from Ireland and I found the staff very friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel was clean and the en suite was luxurious. A special thanks to the receptionists and cleaners who did a great job!
Everything was fine.
- Friendly, helpful staff - Location next to fish market - Only a few minutes from Piazza Duomo - There was (a little) room for parking in front of the hotel
- Neighborhood is a bit rundown - Wifi signal didn't reach our hotel room
quite central location, good breakfast. However, the big selling point of this place were the hosts- very welcoming & helpful.
The bed was very uncomfortable.
Friendliness, super bathroom very modern good explanations from Sonia for our visit to Catania just perfect situation close to all sightseing places. Also close to the bus station and the airport THANKS.
Just thé faint smell from thé fish market, but we had a room in the other side
Staff is very friendly. Location is perfect. Clean
during the check out, they told pos didn't work. Breakfast is below average. Hotel is just one floor of a bulding
Lovely room really pretty and well designed and so close to everything! We loved the location.
The wifi wasn't working in our which was a shame although we were able to use it the main lobby area.
For a one night stop over it was fine. Location close to the city centre, bars and restaurants. Owners very helpful in explaining places of interest and good restaurants.
Being on top of the market the area was generally grubby and with a pervasive smell of fish. Plumbing problems meant depositing used toilet paper in bins.
We were very happy with everything.
No complaints at all.
Good location, very close to Duomo, nice staff although not very good English speaking, but provide you all the places need to go
The step is dark at night without any light so that fall and had the finger hurt.
Really good place, very close to the fish market, love it! Also very close to the bus station, just cross the park.Easy to go everywhere in Sicily. The staffs are very nice to all, they help a lot for the City tour. Thanks to the hotel!
Very kind and helpful owners, very good location close to the main attractions.
That we stayed there only one night...
Luca and staff were very helpful and hospitable. The location provided good access to the central areas. The nearby train line was not a problem and the market was colourful.
Location is very central and the rooms are beautifully decorated.
Poor customer service. Apparently you cannot put toilet tissue down the toilet. There is a small sign but we didn't see it and the toilet flooded the next morning. We were made to feel like it was our fault. Apparently it had been fixed but after my friend took a shower, the toilet flooded right into the room. They refused to change rooms as they were full and no apologies. English hotels usually would pay to get you moved to somewhere witg basic hygiene but they only said we could leave if we liked. There's no reception service after 9pm and so we were scared of using the facilities on the last night. Just being pretty isn't good enough when basic plumbing doesn't work. Yes the rooms are beautiful but if you intend on showering and want to put your soiled toilet paper down the toilet, I suggest you look elsewhere. Possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
Friendly, helpful staff.
My room smelled musty. My window opened onto a train track which was noisy when the window was open but very quiet when it was closed.
Accommodation is excellent.
Parking is a bit of a problem. As this near the busy fish market you could find yourselves blocked in. Italian drivers regularly double park and do not worry about blocking someone in.
Breakfast very poor and entirely sweet; bathroom makes weird noises due to old plummings;staff didn't speak English
Next to railway line.
Parking! This is just a very short walk to the historic center and through the fish market which was a cultural experience. This is not in a luxury location of the city, but safe and beautifully decorated inside. The staff was wonderful.
Ok, its a fish market, so the street nearby smells like fish.
this is very nice place. The hosts, husband and wife I think, are very nice and go of their way to help you and make you feel comfortable. The location is great, very close to the main square. My advice: do not use GPS, you will go insane. Enlarge a Google map and find the place visually. Basically, go to the square with the cathedral, walk south to the corner where the fish market is, go UNDER the railroad bridge and go right.
good central location from which to explore Catania
Details could have been clearer about the impact fish market has on surrounding streets and on parking in particular.
